We have always enjoyed camping, scuba diving and travel... anything outdoors. We made a promise that If ever given the chance to share that joy with others we would and make it a great experience. We searched and searched looked at a lot of properties North of the Woodlands, to build our home. On a Saturday morning, my husband told me about a dream of 3 very tall and Magnificent Trees, soaring way up in the sky. A few days later we were walking through the forest looking at a 20 acre tract of land for sale with our realtor, I'm thinking, "oh how would we ever get this cleared, this is a lot of work" Then, up ahead was a clearing and right in the middle were 3 of the tallest, most magnificent Cedar trees. We have amazing wildlife in the area, deer, birds, squirrels, bobcats, raccoons, and hogs. We keep deer feeders on the property, and you could see the deer just before dark.

The access to the lake is less than a 1/2 mile down the road, boat ramp.
Fishing, swimming, exploring. You can fish the small pond on the property. Explore the property, In the evening if you’re quiet and from a distance you can probably watch the deer come to the feeders. Bring your mountain bikes, ride the county road. Star gazing at night.
There are some targets around the place if you like target shooting. You will need your own guns and ammunition. This activity is at your own risk.
Neighboring town, Malone is about 8 miles away. It's quite small but does have a convenience store, with ice, drinks, food, and worms for fishing. There is also a small-town bar with music and food.
Hubbard is a nice little town about 15 miles away. It features small cafes, antique shopping, gas and a Sonic.
The town of West is much larger and about 30 miles away. West features Czech Bakeries, & old town square shopping.
Don’t forget mosquito spray, bedding, and drinking water. There is plenty of dead wood for fire, but you may want something to cut it into smaller pieces. Please don’t go too big or crazy with fire. Conditions can be very dry. Keep the wood burning fireplace in the tent to small fires please.
Tents can fit 2 adults comfortably; bring your kids and sleep on floor or bring your own tent to set up for them. children are free no extra charge.

Black Willow Pond's namesake is from the black willow trees that encompass the pond and stand alongside the tall cottonwoods. We have built a home in the heart of the property, but there are many coves in the trees and primitive spots to enjoy the starry nights, a Waco, Texas sunset, and wild, open fields.

If you want to explore Waco, follow University Parks Drive to downtown and you can bike, explore Cameron Park, visit the zoo, browse food trucks, or even kayak on the Brazos. Drive a little further out and enjoy Waco Lake.
At Black Willow Pond, you can park and relax, set up your RV, tent, or hammock for primitive camping in wide-open spaces. Depending on the weather and your preference, you can light a fire in the fire pit or view the beautiful field dotted in the spring with Texas wildflowers, black willows, and cottonwood trees. If you want a little more activity, you can kayak or catch and release fish! Happy to chill? Join the turtles and bullfrogs on the wild banks of the pond. You may hear the cows moo and the hum of passersby, but you can unplug for as long as you like.
Watch the fiery sunset as you make dinner, and let the lightning bugs keep you company while making smores. If you're lucky, the willows will sing you to sleep while you count the falling stars.

Welcome to M2 Ranch. We are a small working equine therapy and training operation housing a Non-Profit 501©(3) serving Veterans and their families. Come watch the horses rescued from the wild and gentled to be used for therapy and rehabilitation. We house Mustangs from the Bureau of Land Management and work closely with their conservation efforts.
We currently house guests 7 days a week and welcome the traveler. Come and stay with us for a night or a week. We have flexible arrival and departure times for travelers.
We are located 20 minutes outside Waco, in a beautiful ranch community surrounded by cattle ranches and thousands of acres of beautiful TX pastures. Magnolia Silos, Baylor University, and historic downtown Waco are all a 20-minute drive.
What we offer:
RV hookups, with 50-amp power, water, Wi-Fi, and access to the property. ($35 a night donation). RV must have a self-contained restroom.
We offer private horseback lessons, trail rides for the individual, and an on-site meet and greet with the horses. (Fees apply)
Pets are welcome on leash only.
