Weekend Trip to Breathe Deeply

Perfect spot for a little Austin getaway. We brought our dog along and found 3 places nearby that had music, dog parks, and beer! Close to Lake Travis for a day getaway to the lake. We did Jessica Hollis Park. The airstream had everything you could think of. Even a little speaker to take with us to the lake! The bed was comfy and it fit myself and my 6ft partner. Landers was very accommodating. We will definitely be returning for another weekend there.

Tent camping was groovy! Polite staff. Saw that we had a campfire going & delivered some additional wood to our campsite. Dog was welcome & treated kindly by staff. Great experience.

No frills car camping, highly recommended! John’s land is beautiful and has many sites to choose from with flat places for tents, fire ring, tables and chairs. John is friendly and so are his dogs. He’s done a lot of DIY projects like an outdoor shower, bucket flush toilet, disc golf holes (bring your own discs) and has a few campers, a dump truck and other equipment on site that might not feel like pure nature but it didn’t bother me. If you want a true “pristine natural area” look elsewhere but for weekend car campers it’s a great place. Firewood available on site. 15 mins from downtown.

We had a great experience at Dot’s Spots! Host was so accommodating for our late night arrival and adjusted our booking to a site that wasn’t as impacted by mud after some rainy weather came through. The location was also terrific as it was close to Pedernales Falls State Park and Wimberly, both which we easily explored in a day. It was the perfect first camping trip with our 18 month old! 10/10 would recommend!

Camping at Geronimo's land reminded me of camping as a Boy Scout in my early teens. It was awesome to share the nostalgia with my daughter as we roasted marshmallows over the campfire. We were able to enjoy all that the place had to offer, like the rope swing into the frigid Colorado river, fishing poles available at the riverside, the strategically placed hammock providing a peaceful, relaxing view of the water and even the little old play park. Our stay was uninterrupted, except for the welcomed firewood delivery on the first night. This facilitated the great Daddy-Daughter Camping tradition we have come to enjoy annually. PS. This is not glamping, this place is for REAL CAMPERS (you know yourselves).

6 of us camped out right by the river. The host crew was extremely accommodating making sure we had enough wood, and offering us the fish they caught! It felt secluded and like our own little slice of paradise. We will definitely be returning as soon as we can!!

John was an amazing host and a great guy! This was my first time solo camping as a college student and he went above and beyond with making me feel welcomed on his beautiful property. From the extensive care he puts into this place to his friendly demeanor he was one of the best hosts I’ve ever had ! All the sites he offered were well maintained and you could tell he truly cared for preserving the nature here. He went as far as to check on me here in there while also giving me space to be secluded in my own little world of nature. Also only being 15 mins away from the city of San Marcos was a definite plus. I can’t write everything good I wanna say but not one negative or complaint from my side everything about this place is amazing!

Just the perfect distance to explore the city of Austin in one direction (25 minutes), and Dripping Springs (15 minutes) or even Pedernales Park (40 minutes) in the other. Host was responsive, friendly and helpful. Spots where quiet. Property was well kept.

Weekend Trip to Hill Country Micro-Farm Glamping

Michaela's campsite was very well equipped and maintained. The yurts were clean, had amenities such as space heaters and ACs, and extra blankets. We loved using the jacuzzi! She let us feed the baby goats, which was a wonderful perk. We'd definitely come back.

We had such a great stay! John was extremely helpful during our time on this beautiful property, and so were his two sweet dogs who came to say hello! Such a peaceful and quiet spot to spend a long weekend at. Highly recommend staying here! Thank you so much John!

1 night at Lucky Arrow Retreat

These glamping cabins are nicer than some hotel rooms I have stayed in! Expect all the amenities (shower, toilet, ac, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc.) I recommend walking over to Bell Springs Brewery and Winery next door during your trip!

Swim, kayak, or canoe...but there’s no better way to beat the legendary Texas heat than by grabbing an inner tube and enjoying a calm, steady float along a river known for an abundance of fossils and its wildlife. Bring your own tubes, kayaks and canoes, we are currently replenishing our inventory. Or perhaps you prefer to fish the shady tree-lined banks. Either way, you'll see a variety of birds while you relax on or beside the cool waters of the Colorado River. We're kid and dog friendly (leashes mandatory) and we love musicians. Bring an instrument and join us for an impromptu jam session in our special events room or around the campfire. Cook dinner on our BBQ pit. Firewood is available onsite A few rules... 1. Check in is before sunset. We ask that all Hipcampers wait at gate for staff to guide you to your location for safety reasons. Contact us if you arrive ahead of schedule. 2. No wondering by the upper level cabins (these are private property). Showers are behind these cabins. Please respect staff spaces. 3. If you have an extra vehicle, please park it with your other vehicle. 4. If you have a 3rd extra vehicle, let us know and we will direct you where to park it. 5. Texas Honey Bee Farm

2 acres in the hill country with free ranging ducks and chickens. There are bee colonies scattered on the property as well. Open grassy areas as well as tree covered areas. This is a quiet neighborhood and wildlife is abundant. You may hear coyotes and a great horned owl at night. There is a honey bee themed gift shop on site that is regularly open Thu-Sat 10-6 that offers tastings and tours. There is a restroom and small sink area connected to store that is open 24 hrs. There are 2 LONG RV spots up to 45 feet in length BUT, they are back in only and the turn around area is tight if you have a BIG RIG. The 2 camper van sites are (Site 1) 32' and (Site 2) 22'. Ask me if you want to know more! It helps me to approve you more quickly if I know how tall/long your RV is. Especially if you are longer than 24 feet. You can text me info. There is an outdoor shower area near the dark brown tiny house that is a cold water shower only! :) Ask me if you need towels and/or body wash, etc. (I don't mind helping out so you can travel lighter!)

Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. Pets that are self contained to your RV welcome. Dogs welcome if kept on a leash at all times. (We require this because we have free range chickens and turkeys, as well as pigs, horses, and our own dogs). We have a 2BR/1BA guesthouse that is fully furnished if your RV has to go in the shop or you have family that wants to visit. It has a king bed, queen bed, and sleeper sofa in the living room. Just 14 miles to Randolph AFB, and 17 miles to Ft Sam Houston. Great spot for military PCS, TDY, and PIT! We live on site with our 4 children (and a gaggle of animals). We are both Air Force Veterans. After leaving active duty, we traveled the country full time from 2017-2021 in our RV with our kids. We hope to provide a space that our fellow RVers can relax and feel right at home. And for our fellow full time families, also a safe space for kids to run and play, and just be kids!

During your stay, you are invited to relax or roll out your mat for yoga on the shaded deck or sun deck, in the Yoga Barn in the AC, and book a private Yoga/Meditation class or Mindful Forest Bathing Experience from your host who is an instructor in both. Enjoy strolling through the trails on the property and touring the food gardens viewing chickens roaming on the way. There is a full bath in the Barn and a private hot/cold outdoor shower to use to cool off during the day and has a lovely view of the stars overhead at night. There is outdoor seating on the deck of the Yoga Barn along with a ping-pong table and gas grill. Meals are outside on the deck. You can bring your own food or visit a neighboring restaurant. Your hosts are Foodies and happy to help you find something. We are 5 minutes from McKinney Roughs Nature Center, Zip Lost Pines, and Hyatt Lost Pines. Located-10 minutes from Canyon Lake -20 minutes from Wimberley, San Marcos and Blanco. Wynona’s is perfectly situated to some of the sweetest towns in Texas! The space We love camping so much we decided to make our own Glamping experience in our backyard! The rental includes your yurt, but you get to use the common space!! In total we have 4 bell tents. Two tents have one queen bed and two have two queen beds. We provide two air mattresses to sleep total 16!! There are AC units in each of the tents to keep cool at night. Please note that the hot tub is only included if all 4 tents are booked. Our common areas include 2 showers, 2 toilets, 1 extra large sink area connected to the bathrooms, 2 grills and 4 large picnic tables, a bar and coffee station, a fire pit, hammocks and a rope swing. This space is perfect for any family celebration, reunion, birthday party, ect! It is tucked away at the bottom of the property so you get the space to yourself. IMPORTANT! There is an additional $25/yurt if you want to use the hot tub during your stay. Guest access When you arrive at our house you will park in our circle driveway and walk through the double green gates down the hill to the glampsite. (To the left past the house) The road is slippery/steep so please use the steps. Backpack recommended for easier up and down! You can roll a cooler down the (steep) road! Other things to note Each of the four bell tents are equipped with an AC unit, beds, heater, pillows, sheets, blankets, towels, electrical outlets, twinkle lights, and a lantern. Light switch to main Edison lights are located on the side table near hot tub outlets.
