This hill has been called "healing hill" because of how peaceful the sunsets are. You literally melt away when you sit out on your lawn chairs and watch the sun go down. Coyotes yap and howl a little out in the distance, and a rabbit is sure to come darting across the yard when the Texas sun begins to set. The cabin sits on 5 acres, but we ask that you stay at your campsite. The site is located with other cabins and houses, so you will not be alone, but everyone is polite and friendly. Hiking is not available on the property, but there is plenty of outdoor activity near by: Hill Country State Park, Bandera City Park, Medina Lake, Medina River. Garner State Park and Lost Maples State Park is a reasonable drive away to make a day trip. The property is available for glamping and the cabin features a walk-in bedroom with spacious bathroom. You are welcome to pitch your tents and have access to the cabin as well. The cabin sleeps two people, but if you pitch tents, you can have more registered guests for an additional fee of $10 a person. Please ask first, so I can adjust the guest limit BEFORE you arrive. This is South Texas, so occasionally burn bans come into effect. Please be aware of this and with each booking I will keep you alerted to whether or not the fire pit is available for use. In the case of a burn ban, you may choose to stay without fire or find another spot (burn ban in one location is burn ban in all the county). Please feel free to ask questions.

You have your private designated area, but there could be guest at the cottage and the river is not private. Please respect the neighbors by observing quite times from 10 pm - 10 am. Also, the river is yours to roam, but venturing very far off the river might be trespassing, unless of course, you are on the Labyrinth. You do not have access to the cottage yard area. Camp Cold Springs is a newly renovated RV park situated on 14 acres along the Frio river with approximately 450 feet of Frio river frontage. Located 2 miles north of Garner State Park at 1101 Cold Spring Ranch Rd Concan, TX, we offer 50 full hookup RV sites with 30 and 50-amp connections available at every site. We have pull-through and back-in sites that either live in the shade or soak up the sun. There are two private river access points on the property for guests that lead you down to the cool, refreshing, gorgeous Frio River. Boulderdash is quite amazing! We usually camp in tent campsites because we have a tiny camper, and we don't like to be among huge RVs. Boulderdash is a quite small campground but the design is great and RVs do not face each other and are not lined up, so everybody has privacy. We stayed for the first two nights in the RV site 3, and for the last night we moved to tent site 1 by the river. The tent campsites are the best for who likes nature. While they don't have water or power at the campsite itself, they have a great outdoor washing area with potable water, electricity and a picnic table. There's a port-a-potty besides the bathrooms on the hilltop. Our campsite had a fire ring, a grill, a great picnic table, and you're steps from the river. Water was pretty low but it was running because there are some springs that feed into it. Everything at Boulderdash is well thought out, the bathrooms are super clean and cute, shower is FANTASTIC! Every picnic table has a flower arrangement and a jar of corn to feed the deer, and a small shop. Wi-fi made camping bearable to our teenage daughter. Also fantastic are the hosts: Carole-Anne is super friendly, and received us with a pumpkin bread that she baked to all campers who were there on thanksgiving. That really set the tone right. She was super accommodating to our requests, and is just an overall nice person. Their dogs and cats are super sweet, as are the deer that come every day to get sone corn. We had a wonderful time!

My fiance and I stayed in Forest 2, it was our first time camping and we loved it. The spot was secluded and felt quiet, not far from the restrooms either. Deer would occasionally be around the site at night time while we slept, we didn't mind, but recommended to have food stored away properly and have the trash thrown. We also went fishing by the river and saw some nice fish, the water was nice and clear. Overall awesome experience.

Amazing hidden gem on a beautiful river!!! Great facilities and accommodations. We stayed at Forest 2 secluded camp spot. The camp was full while we were there with about 90% occupancy but we still felt pretty secluded. River access is unbeatable. Some local stores nearby and close to Bandera for restaurants and shopping. Would definitely return.

Cool spot near tons of Texas’s beautiful nature spots to explore . This camp has cool accommodations and shared community spaces. We stayed at campsite 1 and felt secluded and loved the clean tent pad sites. We also added firewood to our reservation and it was piled up nicely at campsite upon arrival. Great host.

We love the campsite. We came back the second time. It has a lot of space for all our equipment to spread out. The river right next to the cliff is crisp and clear. While we were there, other campers caught decent-sized fish. The shower and restroom facilities are clean and available.

Seco. campgrounds was so cute ! they have Wi-Fi with in the communal kitchen . The bathrooms are nearby and there are cute chickens and goats. Woody greeted us upon arrival and made sure that we were comfortable. I would def recommend this for a campgrounds close to Lost Maples
