Everfree Shire Ranch is an 11 acre estate nestled between quiet country houses and a very active horse ranch next door to the east. Rescue horses are also kept on the property in rotation. Much of the camping here is still a work in progress! So for now, a very private economical choice for campers! The central building has indoor lodging available and the side bathroom with indoor toilet / washer / dryer may be used by campers as well. A new outdoor shower is 95% complete and usable but swimwear is required because we have not finished filling in the slots between the wood fence panels. The RV Dump station is also ready for use as well as the new outhouse! If you forgot to dump on the way out or need to before arriving, please use the free dump stations on I-35 near Natalia on either side of the highway.

Gated property offers a glimpse of the country life while still being close enough to town. Get outside the hustle and bustle of San Antonio, and enjoy a family friendly stay at one of our RV spots, or our fully furnished 2 bedroom guesthouse. Set at the back of our 5 acre property, there are 2 RV sites that include water and 50 amp service. Septic available as well. Plenty of space to stretch your legs and stay a while. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. Pets that are self contained to your RV welcome. Dogs welcome if kept on a leash at all times. (We require this because we have free range chickens and turkeys, as well as pigs, horses, and our own dogs). We have a 2BR/1BA guesthouse that is fully furnished if your RV has to go in the shop or you have family that wants to visit. It has a king bed, queen bed, and sleeper sofa in the living room. Handicap accessible walk in shower. -------------------------------------------------------- We are located just to the east of San Antonio in Adkins. Just 14 miles to Randolph AFB, and 17 miles to Ft Sam Houston. Great spot for military PCS, TDY, and PIT! Although shorter stays are available, monthly+ stays do have priority. -------------------------------------------------------- A little about us... We live on site with our 4 children (and a gaggle of animals). We are both Air Force Veterans. After leaving active duty, we traveled the country full time from 2017-2021 in our RV with our kids. We hope to provide a space that our fellow RVers can relax and feel right at home. And for our fellow full time families, also a safe space for kids to run and play, and just be kids!

Learn more about this land: Come and enjoy a quiet, restful time on our 10-acre flower farm in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Big Oak Campsite is our biggest campsite. At this site Live Oaks tower above you and provide shade all day long. At night cozy up by the camp fire or turn on the solar lights for a nice ambiance as you roast marshmallows and listen to the wildlife around you. Expect to hear donkeys, chickens, peacocks and see lots of wildlife such as, white tail deer, axis deer and wild birds such as, painted buntings, scarlet tanagers, scissor tails and many more. It is just a short drive to Boerne, Bandera, Helotes and 40 min from San Antonio. The Hill Country State Natural Area is nearby where you can enjoy hiking and horseback riding, and if you are looking to get on the water you are only minutes away from Medina Lake for fishing, boating, and swimming. Feel free to explore the wooded campgrounds or explore the flower beds. Keep in mind that you are able to see our home from this campsite during the day.

Our stay at Tent Site #2 at Boulderdash Cabin & RV Park was absolutely wonderful! Carol-anne and Lyn were amazing hosts—friendly, responsive, and super thoughtful. They provided helpful tips before our arrival and made sure we had everything we needed for a great experience. The site was peaceful and well-kept, surrounded by nature and just steps from the Medina River. Even though it was a short hike to the bathrooms, we were well-prepared thanks to their clear heads-up and suggestion to bring a tent potty—especially useful since we were camping with our child. We appreciated the attention to detail, from the check-in process to on-site items like firewood and ice. The no-visitor and quiet policies helped make the space feel safe and relaxing for families. We made some great memories here and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend for anyone looking to disconnect, relax, and enjoy the outdoors!

We absolutely loved our stay! We spent the weekend kid free celebrating our 13 year anniversary & couldn’t help but talk about how much the kids would have loved it! Will definitely be back sometime soon with the kids! Plenty of areas to swim or sit in the water and enjoy the absolute peacefulness of the flowing water and watching the sunset!

We loved camping out at Boulderdash! The campsites were clean and well maintained. There are amenities like freshwater, WiFi, and electricity available if you’d like, but it doesn’t feel like glamping. If you forget anything, Carol-Anne and Lyn have it handy. The riverside sites are a short walk to wading in the Medina river. The kids and dogs had a blast. Campers who come here should abide by the camp’s simple rule; don’t be a jerk. We’re looking forward to coming back as soon as possible!

We love this place, it's close enough to town if you forget something but still a very relaxing stay. Ellie is a wonderful host. We've had 2 great camping experience here. It was a beautiful, peaceful spot. Highly recommend! Oh and the river is nice too.

Ellie was super nice to work with! The property is right outside Bandera, So it’s easily accessible. It’s beautiful land! The campsites are a short walk through the woods to the river (from the photos I mistakenly thought the sites were literally a few feet from the water- not a big deal, Just FYI). I had a great weekend and look forward to going back!

This is definitely one of the best camping spots we have been to! Access to the river was very easy, even from up the hill, and the water was absolutely perfect. The restrooms were nice and clean. We stayed in Spot 2 with our travel trailer and we were grateful that no one booked Spot 1 next to us so we had a good amount of space and privacy. There were plenty of other people there but everyone was respectful and we were pretty spread out so the noise was minimal.

This location has everything you need, restrooms, community sink, and amazing access to the river. The campgrounds are very clean, and the RV sites are perfect. Carol Ann and Lyn put their passion for camping and traveling into their property. And it shows. These people made us feel like we were family, and honestly just want you to have a great experience while you’re at Boulderdash. If I could give this place 10 stars I gladly would.
