Come stay in our sweet semi off grid cabin just between Austin and Marble Falls Tx. Near beautiful Lake Travis. Upon arrival you can park in the flat dirt driveway in front of the boat. The trail up to the cabin begins right there. There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection. It also had Bluetooth capability. Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. Weekend Trip to Ranch 3232

We were looking for a quick hill country spot specifically for Hamilton Pool and some other things in the area. I like tent camping but we also prefer real bathrooms. This campground was a great option - we used it as a home base for Hamilton Pool, Pedernales Falls SP, LBJ historical sites and Blanco SP. The bathrooms were reasonably clean and well maintained. Most had fans and space heaters, though we did not need them this time of year. Specific to campsite I, it was quiet and there was no one in the campsite next to us. I chose it because other reviews mentioned it being shady and it is. We have a Ford Explorer - a larger vehicle may have a hard time backing in under the branches. It’s a 3-5 minute walk slightly uphill to the bathrooms, manageable for our elementary aged kids. Overall, we would stay here again. There was a slight snafu on firewood - I asked for and paid for it last minute (totally on me!) so it wasn’t there when we got there. They offered a refund or gave me a choice to keep it before I even asked about it, nice customer service.

Weekend Trip to The Outpost

This place was so great in every way - the deck was perfect for coffee, a cocktail, and a dip in the hot tub. Jessica was so responsive and helpful, the trail on the property was awesome and we explored all over. There was so much attention to detail here and it’s an outstanding place to stay. So eclectic. Still close to everything, but sitting on the deck was quiet and full of nature. Even enjoyed peeping some chicks with the chickens that were roaming around 🥰

Weekend Trip to Brown Chicken Brown Cow Ranch

The brown cow Ranch, as well as Michelle and Chad, were absolutely wonderful. We had a magical time at the ranch, could not have been happier. We stayed with the intention to visit Enchanted Rock, and it was perfectly suited for that. This is a must-see camp, and the only place to stay if you’re looking to camp this area. A little visit from the Longhorns really put it over the top! Do not miss a chance to stay at the Brown Cow Ranch.

Weekend Trip to Camping Near Hamilton Pool

We had a fantastic time on the property! Campsite was very well equipped with a grill, hammocks, a fire pit, private toilet, and picnic table. It was also nicely secluded, nestled among the trees. Sheri and Johnny were lovely hosts. They were extremely accommodating when we had a last minute schedule change, and they met us when we arrived to show us three different campsite options. We even saw an armadillo stroll by our tent, which is definitely plus points. Would recommend.

We were in town for an event at Garrison Brothers and this site was perfect for it. Annie's Spot is almost level and is easy to back into if you come in from the driveway. Make sure you have two sewer and fresh water hoses. We needed them for our very short trailer. Our electrical cord was long enough, but it wouldn't hurt to have an extension. It's just a 50 amp plug, so make sure you have an adapter for a 30 amp rig. Looking forward to staying here again soon.

We had an amazing stay at Hye Table! It was a great, spot on a lovely property. Such a great location to visit all the Texas Hill Counrty has to offer. We were lucky enough to meet the Host and she gave us several suggestions on wineries and eateries! There is no doubt that we will return again for another stay!

This was a lovely spot to camp. The land was beautiful and very convenient to Enchanted Rock. Michelle was very hospitable and kind. The portable restroom was exceptionally clean and convenient. We only interacted with the cattle when Michelle invited us to feed them. Cell service was strong on the property. We unfortunately had severe weather in the middle of the night, and we appreciated that she reached out during the storm via text to check on us. There were unfortunately ant hills throughout our campsite, but it is their home after all. They did bite, so I’d advise wearing closed-toed shoes. We would have appreciated clearer signage marking our campsite, as the map was only marginally helpful and we felt the need to confirm with Michelle that we were in the right spot before unloading. Overall, Michelle was lovely to stay with.

Loved our stay on Sherrie and Johnnie’s property! Beautiful spot and a quick drive away from Hamilton pool and Reimer’s ranch! We were the only ones camping there for the weekend so Johnnie let us have our pick of the campsites. They have such a charming property with hammocks and tables and even an outdoor shower with warm water. Very hospitable hosts, Johnnie checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was going well. We will be back!!

Awesome experience! The “tucked away” campsite is perfect if you’re looking for a bit of solitude. The views are beautiful, and the hosts were warm, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. A special highlight was the four longhorns on the property—they were gentle, entertaining to watch, and added a really unique charm to the stay. Would absolutely come back!
