Tom and Rhonda Fousek opened "A Peace of Heaven Log Cabins" in 2003. We love camping, RVing, and the outdoors and wanted to give families the same adventure we have had in the Texas Hill Country with the comfort of home.
Nestled in the Texas Hill Country is A Peace of Heaven. Come relax, swim, bird watch, hike, play volleyball, ping pong, build a fire and roast marshmallows. We offer catch-and-release fishing in our springs or go horseback riding nearby. Enjoy tubing down the Frio River in Concan. and don't forget to catch the Frio Bat Flight.
We have 3 fully equipped log cabins that sleep up to 7 persons each. 2 separate bedrooms & a day bed in the living room. Full kitchens with a stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker & coffee beans, and grinder. All dishes, cooking utensils, linens, and towels for bathing are supplied. All cabins have AC and Heat
3 10 x 12 luxury tents sitting on a 10 x 20 deck with a queen size bed, linens, wood stove, 2 Androick chairs, grill/firepit, 2 rocking chairs, picnic table with storage and food prep area, pots & pans, dishes, utensils, collapsible sink, campfire coffee pot, chemical toilet, solar shower, solar-powered charging port, water cooler, garbage can, first aide kit, clothesline, and fire extinguisher.

We had a great experience. Landers was very accommodating and helpful. Although people were close by, everyone kept to themselves, and the campsite still felt private. His two dogs were so sweet and respectful to our two dogs (and us!). We would absolutely stay here again :)

Great experience. Host was very nice and accommodating, providing firewood and his own fire starters. Kids enjoyed the plethora of activities (ie basketball, disc golf, feeding chickens, goats, etc). Garner State Park is not far if looking for top notch hiking trails. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Breathe Deeply
Perfect weekend getaway from apartment living! Plenty of privacy and an enclosed gate so our pup could wander while we made a campfire. Hot tub was such a wonderful treat, all water was temperature controlled and easy to use, compost toilet was clean, the bed was sooo comfy and grilling/cooking amenities were plentiful w/ options! Landers was an excellent host with clear direction and quick communication. This place is in an excellent location for travelers or those just looking for a nearby weekend retreat. Very safe. Love the ducklings on site. We look forward to visiting again very soon.

This trip and evening was very spontaneous, location and realivity to blanco led us here and it was perfect. Firewood provided, perfect lighting within the well secured canvas tent and incense for the best intimate evening. James's wild bill’s cabin was real cozy. The star gazing was great and so was watching some of the wildlife grazing around the property. Speaking of grazing their pizzas are delicious overall it was a great experience would definitely recommend staying overnight!

Absolutely everything is what you would expect. This was an oasis hidden in an unexpected place. I came for solitude and a menu for each meal, just to toss is out of the window and explored the eateries within distance (thanks Tamara!). I will definitely be back with the family and more, I want everyone to know, this is a place of peace and freedom. This was mine and my husband’s second time visiting the Seco Ridge Campgrounds. This year we stayed in the Bunkhaus. Our best friend and my cousin also joined us for the adventure. The Bunkhaus is nothing short of incredible. It’s more of a tiny home with an awesome patio area with fun lighting, games, and luxury lounging. A HUGE storm came in while we were there and the Haus had no leaks, nothing like that- it is a true experience. The interior is gorgeous with drywall and recess lighting. The bed was incredibly comfy. Owners Woody and Elaine were so very accommodating and kind. They got us fresh firewood and even fresh eggs from the ground’s chickens! In the Haus, there’s a microwave and large mini fridge for snacks and the grounds have a communal fire pit, swings, outdoor kitchen, running water, hot showers and toilets- I have to wear orthodics temporarily which makes it difficult for me to walk and Woody and Elaine set up a chemical toilet right outside the door of the Haus for me. INCREDIBLY accommodating. The Seco Ridge campground itself is the only place I have ever seen the Milky Way with the naked eye. I do astronomy photography and I was able to take some incredible photos. My family and I sang karaoke outside up to quiet hours time at 11, and had an overall BLAST! The Haus is air conditioned, heated, and has just the quaintest and most fun ambiance. It is a pleasure every year and we can’t wait to come back again soon! What a beautiful property! Kasey was so nice and showed us around, made sure we had plenty of wood, and made us feel right at home. The stars were bright and the tent was very comfortable! The bed in the tent was so nice and the sleeping pads she offered were great. The walking trail was really pretty in the morning too. It was very quiet and safe, we definitely recommend this site

Eastern & Northern Hill Country
If your camping trip through Texas Hill Country has time for an urban stop, put Austin on your list. The state capital marches to the beat of its own drum with the proud motto “Keep Austin Weird.” This marks the eastern edge of Hill Country. Close to town, McKinney Falls State Park is a must see, notable as a popular swimming hole. Pedernales Falls State Park offers views of the Pedernales River and a tumbling waterfall and over 20 miles of trails for mountain biking. Inks Lake State Park offers recreation on land and water. Colorado Bend State Park provides miles of trails and views of a 70-foot waterfall.
Central Hill Country
Central Hill Country centers around San Antonio and areas north. San Antonio is worth a visit, with the Alamo National Historic Landmark and the River Walk being popular stops. Head out to the smaller towns of Fredericksburg and Boerne to find wineries, live music, and unique personalities. Enchanted Rock State Natural Area is one of the most popular stops in Hill Country, renowned for the massive granite dome focal point. Climb to the top to take in the views. It offers tent camping and books well in advance. For easy access for tubing the Guadalupe River, check out Guadalupe River State Park, which has four miles of riverfront. Camping sites are available for both tents and RVs with hookups.
Western Hill Country
Western Hill Country gets farther from the urban centers. Bandera and Kerrville are small towns in the region. Located on the Frio River, Garner State Park is one of Hill Country’s most popular camping spots, with hiking trails and swimming holes.
