Weekend Trip to Golden Curls Ranch
I'm grateful that Angela and her family opened up their place to us. We had an amazing time just relaxing on the farm, watching the animals, and enjoying nature. The horse ride was great and it was awesome to learn about the specific breed that Angela has there. I only stayed one night, but it was such a peaceful and relaxing experience! The owners are onsite, friendly, very helpful and responsive to any questions I had before and during my stay. The location was easy to find in the daylight (I arrived mid afternoon), and everything was just as described. GPS gets you to the right spot but note it will be very dark at night as there are no street lamps which makes for amazing night sky/star gazing.
I had my Great Dane with me and the other dogs onsite came to meet him and they all got along well.
I stayed in the smaller camper, and it was cozy, clean, and comfortable—the bed was great, and I slept really well. The A/C worked perfectly, which was a lifesaver in the Texas heat. There’s a small deck with an awning for shade, and a shared grill if you want to cook outside. I brought most of my own supplies, so I didn’t use the kitchen gear, but everything you’d need seemed to be there. Fridge and freezer worked well.
The camper is located close to the horse barn, which was a bonus—I enjoyed walking around and even got to meet the horses. There are also shared bathroom facilities in the barn if you prefer a regular shower over the RV setup.
It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway, especially if you love animals and want a quiet, rural escape. It’s a good location to explore Mineral Welsl, Granbury and Weatherford areas. I’d definitely stay again!

Convenient location with farm animals and horses, the host is flexible and friendly, she walked with us and showed the property.
It was freezing and raining during our booking period and it’s hard to stay indoors in the small space, we wish climate was better
