Loved the space and ability to explore and camp where we wanted to! There are a variety of areas with fire rings and clearings to set up camp but even in my Prius I had no issues accessing any part of the property. The cedar outhouse is phenomenal! Seriously it’s the nicest outhouse I’ve ever had the please of using lol. The available map was helpful to orient myself when I arrived. We enjoyed seeing lots of wildlife (deer, hogs, birds, etc) horses were in the front pasture as we drove in. My dogs loved exploring the property! There were a couple other campers we saw in the distance but there was more than enough room to spread out and have privacy. It was a great place to stop on our roadtrip.

Super great place!! I was by myself and felt safe and enjoyed the tranquil scenery with tons of birds and wild life. The creek was perfect! Host were available if I needed anything. I will definitely be going back!!

Easy to find, wide open spaces, plentiful wildlife, plenty of privacy. For me, I honestly don't think I could have asked for more. This is a great spot, you won't regret staying here. I'm already wanting to be back!

Jody's hideaway was a great spot. Easy to find. Gate has a clear sign on it. Just inside the gate is a mailbox with a nice handrawn map of the property for reference. You're free to camp anywhere, but if you go to the back section where the wooded area is are several spots to camp. Campers are free to explore anywhere and even drive the property, just stay on the perimeter of the hay fields. I definitely recommend this hipcamp.

Nice quiet spot on the river. Brought us firewood on Friday that lasted until Sunday morning. Great spot if your looking for a no hassles, no frills place to chill.

Camping at Geronimo's land reminded me of camping as a Boy Scout in my early teens. It was awesome to share the nostalgia with my daughter as we roasted marshmallows over the campfire. We were able to enjoy all that the place had to offer, like the rope swing into the frigid Colorado river, fishing poles available at the riverside, the strategically placed hammock providing a peaceful, relaxing view of the water and even the little old play park. Our stay was uninterrupted, except for the welcomed firewood delivery on the first night. This facilitated the great Daddy-Daughter Camping tradition we have come to enjoy annually. PS. This is not glamping, this place is for REAL CAMPERS (you know yourselves).

6 of us camped out right by the river. The host crew was extremely accommodating making sure we had enough wood, and offering us the fish they caught! It felt secluded and like our own little slice of paradise. We will definitely be returning as soon as we can!!

1 night at Happy Hideaway - Near COTA

Love everything about this place. We got a fire pit, a grill, and a picnic table right behind the tent, and the way they place it makes it feel exclusive. The communal bathhouse is 50ft away, which was nice. Jeff, the groundskeeper, was very responsive and helpful! We appreciate him a lot! There are still rooms for improvement but since they’re working on renovating the whole camp, we would definitely come back to check it out again.

Weekend Trip to Happy Hideaway - Near COTA

We absolutely loved staying in the Lotus Tent, great option for far more affordable accommodation yet still very close to Austin city. The tent itself is well set up and comfortable, and the showers are great. Very peaceful especially with the Lotus tent tucked away at the back of the property. Highly recommend for anyone looking for cheap and peaceful accommodation within a short drive of Austin.

Our family loved the privacy, creek, pizza oven area and large stones around the firepit. The cows were so cute and the family was helpful in bringing some extra firewood for us. We definitely look forward to coming back again! There is a bit of a slope down to the creek but the rope to climb back up was especially helpful for our son.

Weekend Trip to Country Glamping By The Pool

Everything was great. It was quiet and we had privacy. Bathroom and shower were amazing, we loved how it was set up. Huge plus that the yurt has heating and cooling. Our dogs had a blast roaming the land. Plenty of activities to keep you entertained. Some amenities could use some upgrading, but still a great stay. Would go again.

Swim, kayak, or canoe...but there’s no better way to beat the legendary Texas heat than by grabbing an inner tube and enjoying a calm, steady float along a river known for an abundance of fossils and its wildlife. Bring your own tubes, kayaks and canoes, we are currently replenishing our inventory. Or perhaps you prefer to fish the shady tree-lined banks. Either way, you'll see a variety of birds while you relax on or beside the cool waters of the Colorado River. We're kid and dog friendly (leashes mandatory) and we love musicians. Bring an instrument and join us for an impromptu jam session in our special events room or around the campfire. Cook dinner on our BBQ pit. Firewood is available onsite A few rules... 1. Check in is before sunset. We ask that all Hipcampers wait at gate for staff to guide you to your location for safety reasons. Contact us if you arrive ahead of schedule. 2. No wondering by the upper level cabins (these are private property). Showers are behind these cabins. Please respect staff spaces. 3. If you have an extra vehicle, please park it with your other vehicle. 4. If you have a 3rd extra vehicle, let us know and we will direct you where to park it. 5. Please be courteous of other campers space and road access. 6. All kids are free. If your kids are 17 and under do not add them or it will charge. 7. This is our family farm, though you probably will not see us much. The campsite is located on a corner of the property on Cummins Creek and once you get there you will feel secluded in nature. Matt grew up here swimming, fishing and exploring in this creek...the creek has taught him more about life than anyone ever could. I hope that you too can understand why we always walk alway feeling like this is a very special spot! Enjoy pizza oven, grill, fire pit, picnic table, hot tub, swimming, fishing, exploring and knowing your party is the only people that you be on this site. Update: Off the grid hot tub is back!!!
