3 nights at Deer Trail Cabin sleeps 6
This place is awesome. The interior is like a luxury cabin with all the amenities and comforts you have at home. Excellent air conditioning, amazing waterfall shower, WiFi, and so many other great features to the cabin make it the best cabin we have ever stayed at.
The host Tanya was friendly and had very fast responses to any questions. The location is in an RV park that has charcoal grills, players for the little ones, and great open areas to run with the kids or dogs. It was extremely quiet in regards to neighbors. There are some animal noises from geese and a few dogs but we felt that added to the country feel.
A mile or so down the road is one of the best lakes in Texas and since it’s a state park it’s extremely safe and a pristine environment.
A few minutes down the road in the opposite direction is a Dollar General for all the items you forgot or want some extra snack or drink.
We will absolutely be coming back in the near future.

My friend and I truly had the whole place to ourselves! Our room was perfect and the bed was super comfy!! Love that it was a king bed!! Great experience, high recommend!!

3rd time staying on the campgrounds and it was just as amazing as the first time. Hollis and Beaux are just so amazing and very great hosts! Brought my daughter this time and she also enjoyed life under the stars away from the city. Such a great hidden gem!

4 nights at Happy Hideaway - Near COTA
Check in and out was very easy and simple. The bathhouse and showers were clean and taken care off. The cabin itself was clean and the mattress was so so comfy. After spending all day at ACL, that bed was like laying on a cloud.

Weekend Trip to Happy Horse Camp & RV Getaway
The Happy Horse Hotel had everything we could ask for; from the cozy cabin, clean horse pens, nice outhouses, and onsite trails, to the nearby attractions such as the McKinney Roughs Nature Park, the Bastrop Museum, and the various local shops. The trip was so relaxing and I loved the scenery in the early mornings. The camp house was really comfortable and had ample supplies for a welcoming camp weekend. We also took a Harmonica class with Hollis and had a blast learning from such a talented musician. Can’t wait to come again some time!

We visited Austin for the weekend and loved our stay at Brent’s place. It’s exactly as pictured and we had everything we needed to be comfortable for the weekend. There are so many small touches that make this camper a quintessential Austin place to stay. Complete with a list of great recommendations for and it’s in a great location too! Would definitely recommend!

The stay at the Happy Horse Bungalow was an enjoyable, relaxing weekend for us. We loved the outdoors and closeness to nature. We would definitely stay again. Had numerous trails. Even had a scavenger hunt. The bright stars around the campfire at night were quite relaxing.

It was a beautiful space with well thought out details. We spent a night before flying out. The location is convenient but didn’t feel too in the city. The outdoor shower was fun. There are many fireflies in the backyard which felt magical. The space was comfortable and the decor was really fun. Thank you for a great stay!

I would highly recommend staying at the Happy Horse Camp! The cabins have a lovely, quaint vibe and are clean with a solid set of amenities. Showers and bathrooms are available, and the on site nature walk with the scavenger hunt is very fun.
Beaux and Hollis went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. I proposed to my fiance and they helped set up the proposal location on the nature walk. My fiance was very suprised and it made for a magical day:) Huge thanks to Beaux and Hollis for their help and responsiveness.

This is the perfect country retreat along the Colorado River! We stayed in the fancy river shack and the accommodations were absolutely amazing. The 1st night I used the outdoor grill which was perfect along with a fire pit evening. The host delivered two bundles of firewood immediately upon request at $10 a bundle. The second night was too windy for a fire but it was still great. The River Shack is just a short walk down to the river bank and there are two tent and camping sites close to the shore with their own amenities. All sites are peacefully and perfectly placed to provide a woodsy country private and tranquil get away feel. The River Shack itself is so attractive and the kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom are perfect and modern, and can be compartmentalized with sliding doors. Three flat-screen TVs across the jacuzzi room, living room, and bedroom were great, along with a desk area for your laptop with wifi. Last and of course, the jacuzzi room lets you know you are "Glamping" in ultimate style and country grace! I literally watched the morning news with coffee in the jacuzzi! Why not! With nature watching I saw 10 deer total throughout my stay and a Cow! My Lady and family will return one day and get some fishing done!

Weekend Trip to Urban Hideout
We've stayed at Brent's cabin twice now and had a great experience both times. It's a tucked away piece of calm nature with easy access to central Austin. Brent has everything stocked from towels to coffee. Check-in is simple and the place is easy to find. We love the outdoor shower under the big oak tree!
