This space is perfect for any family celebration, reunion, birthday party, ect! It is tucked away at the bottom of the property so you get the space to yourself. Guest access When you arrive at our house you will park in our circle driveway and walk through the double green gates down the hill to the glampsite. (To the left past the house) The road is slippery/steep so please use the steps. Backpack recommended for easier up and down! You can roll a cooler down the (steep) road! What’s the difference between our 4 tents? At Talula Mesa we offer 4 glamping tents, each 100 to 300 ft apart for privacy, all with great views of the hill country. Three tents are large (Grand), and one is small (Mini). The 3 Grand tents are nearly identical, with slightly varying decor. The main difference is in the tents’ locations on our property and corresponding view. - The Grand Aztec: Provides the most open view of the lake and hill country. Located central on the property near the main fire pit and common areas. - The Grand Arrow: Also has a lake view, but with more trees, less open than the Grand Aztec. Located closer to the entrance of our property, farther from the common areas. Adirondack chairs and a hammock area is just out back (lakeside). - The Grand Tesoro: Private hill country view across the properties ravine. Located closest to the bathhouse, very central on our property. Also near the common areas. A private chiminea fire area under a grove of trees is nearby. The price for Grand tents is based on double or triple occupancy. A fourth guest is welcome for an additional fee ($50/nt), which you’ll see at booking. The Mini Aztec: Located between the Grand Aztec and Grand Arrow tents, with a private view of the lake and hills, and a private chiminea area. For younger children (age 8+) who want to sleep in the mini tent, we recommend the Grand Arrow for the parents because the mini is within view of the Grand Arrow porch. The Grand Tents have a maximum occupancy of 3 guests. We may allow for a fourth guest upon request for an additional fee ($50/nt). This space is perfect for any family celebration, reunion, birthday party, ect! It is tucked away at the bottom of the property so you get the space to yourself. Guest access When you arrive at our house you will park in our circle driveway and walk through the double green gates down the hill to the glampsite. (To the left past the house) The road is slippery/steep so please use the steps. Backpack recommended for easier up and down! You can roll a cooler down the (steep) road! Other things to note Each of the four bell tents are equipped with an AC unit, beds, heater, pillows, sheets, blankets, towels, electrical outlets, twinkle lights, and a lantern. We really enjoyed our stay! Just a few notes for future guests: the yurts are located in the owners’ backyard, so there isn’t a ton of privacy, and the bathroom doors don’t fully close since they don’t lock. The property has lots of fun animals, which adds to the charm, though a few did get out during our visit (a chicken, the dog, and even the pig) — a little stressful since we had our own dogs with us, but admittedly, waking up to a rogue pig was pretty thrilling. Last note, the heater in yurt 4 doesn’t work. 7/10

Wow. What a great place. Exceeding expectations for sure. So many nice touches that didn’t have to be there. Everything was clean and tidy. Love the fire pit and the hot tub and the outdoor bathroom. The camper itself was perfect. Very warm and cozy. A lot of effort was put into making this a great experience. I highly recommend the Laa Lodge!

Wonderful location, beautiful view, peaceful day and night. During our stay the area was hit by historical flooding. Despite this situation being outside of Laura's control, she constantly provided updates regarding weather, the restoration of power, and kept us apprised of road conditions and provided us the best window of time to make our exit and return to home. Fortunately, given the location, we were at an elevation that ensured our safety and piece of mind. I highly recommend a stay at this property and we will definitely be back. P.S. - Note - Laura at Loving Heart Retreats even provided a place to stay at the retreat to a gentleman that was stuck on the mountain due to flooding. This furthers my confidence that this truly is a loving heart operation! Thanks for everything, Laura.

Great hospitality! They are very accommodating, and welcoming. Will definitely be returning for future stays in Hill country. Just such a cute little place. Beds are VERY comfortable, slept like a queen. Bathrooms were all very clean.

Michaela’s site is so cozy and thoughtfully laid out - all the comforts of home (air conditioning, toilets) while out in nature. She gave us bottle to feed the baby goats which was our highlight. It’s a perfect spot for getting away from the city and catching up on reading. Definitely recommend.

Michaela's campsite was very well equipped and maintained. The yurts were clean, had amenities such as space heaters and ACs, and extra blankets. We loved using the jacuzzi! She let us feed the baby goats, which was a wonderful perk. We'd definitely come back.

Wow! We stayed in the Vineyard cabin and it was beautiful! The cabin had everything we needed. The bathrooms, kitchen, linens, everything was spotless. The hot tub overlooking the creek was such an amazing touch. We were even able to go see the ponies! I would highly recommend and will definitely be back!!
