Weekend Trip to Coyote Creek Farm

We absolutely loved this place! Regena was extremely kind and accommodating. The place was very well kept and the entrance was easy to spot in the nighttime. If you don’t see it, you didn’t go far enough lol. Do expect some donkey noises from time to time but you are with nature!

Nice experience with Lamas. Judy and other gentlemen were patient answering questions about the stay. Could have looked at the weather before going, had multiple times thunderstorms over the night. But that is not related to the camping experience. And also recommendations around places to see around the camping will also be helpful.

We LOVED llama land ranch! It was the perfect getaway from Fort Worth for the weekend. Our campsite was tucked away from the other sites on either side of us so we didn’t feel like we were near others. Judy was so welcoming and responsive. The bathrooms are “NICE NICE NICE” as advertised and pretty cool as they are in a silo. The llamas, pups, and cats around the place were so much fun to be around. It was such a peaceful retreat for the weekend. We will definitely be back! Very family friendly or if you want to keep to yourselves that’s easy too :)

Super cute place. Lots of space and not crowded. Outhouse restroom was clean. Campsite was nice with fire pit chairs, a picnic table & a jr size picnic table. Staff were very friendly & accommodating, though we didn’t need much. My only wish was that there was somewhere to deposit the trash at the exit, so we didn’t have to drive around with it searching for a place to dump it.

We camped here just one night as a test run for our youngest kiddo who had never been and it was perfect! We had a nice space with trees and loved that it was an easy walk to the fishing pond. Our whole family caught fish, even our 6 year old, so that was really great! Regena took him on a little scavenger hunt and he had so much fun doing that, plus it was a nice break for us adults while we finished setting up camp. I did think there was a main toilet area for all campers, but I was confused and instead we had toilet buckets at each campsite. Thankfully we had brought toilet paper and wipes…! So make sure you do that 😂 All in all, we really liked this space and loved that it was only a 40 min drive from where we live, which makes it a nice easy adventure!

The outhouse was kept clean and the new bathrooms were really nice. The llamas soo friendly. It was so nice we were checked in on. The various picnic tables and set ups are super nice! This is somewhere I want to keep coming again and make a tradition of. It was nice to see other families and kids having such a good time and still feel privacy at our spot Pond in the Pasture. Absolutely wonderful! Some of the best memories roasting rice crispies! Reading. Enjoying all the cool birds I have never seen. All the sounds. The woodpecker in the morning and owls at night!

Regena is such a sweet and accommodating hostess. Checked in late for the blood moon after a long day of work, and she was readily available to escort me to my campsite. The area is well kept and communication is thorough. Reasonably close to the more touristy things that Waco has to offer in addition to being perfectly tucked away. I will definitely be giving Regena another visit for more exploration in the Waco area!

1 night at Llama Land Ranch

So fun as usual! This is one of our absolute favorite little getaway spots. The weather was gorgeous and the llamas were so sweet. Much needed campfire and hammock chill time was had. Will absolutely return again in a few months!

Property has been in family since 1987. The land has a rich history of wild boars and other wildlife. There is a live creek that runs along one of the property lines and is 50 ft deep. Pastures are mowed three times a year and always look beautiful. There is some terrain that is rough and the land has not been traveled. Bring machetes and a compass (We are not a rescue team). The land is ready to be loved by our visitors. The llamas will come to greet you and so will many more things in this wonderful place. Established 1996, The farm is situated just minutes from Magnolia-Silos, the Dr. Pepper museum, Baylor University, the Texas Ranger museum, BSR Waterpark, the Waco Mammoth National Monument (US National Park Service), and plenty of magnificent restaurants. There are no power lines over the property so I invite you to bring a kite to fly! You may even see one or two of mine in the sky. The theme of Coyote Creek Farm is tranquility. It is camping without someone crowding into your space. It is freedom from the hectic pace of the city. There is a well maintained Compost Toilet on the property as well! Each individual campsite has a portable potty bucket provided. Nearly any spot you are on has an amazingly delightful view. You can see the sun rise over the trees or the sun set behind a gently sloping hill. You will have access to all of the 30 acres. There are paths to walk, a stocked tank to fish in, (bass, catfish and blue gill), and oak and pecan trees to sit under and view the clouds as they drift overhead. The noises you hear will be cattle calling to their little ones, birds singing, and in the evenings, coyotes howling.
