We were pleased with our weekend stay. The neighbors are close but not a bother to us, in fact we only had seen them out on one occasion. We loved the convenience of having everything close by to us. The owner was available to answer some quick questions we had and that’s always a plus in our book! All hookups work well. We will stay here again in the future. I give this little spot a 4 out of 5 stars!

Cute place! Small space under a Mesquite tree provides some shade for your tent (don’t bring a big tent). On the adjacent property there were some cattle nearby and we had the pleasure of watching them take a swim in a small pond. My daughter loved the Longhorn on the property and the chicken coop. Nice little farm great for novice campers.

I enjoyed my tent camping at this site. The host Cody is very friendly and communicative. The campsite is set up for RV with full hookups and there is an additional water hose available to use if you need to fill water jugs. There is an ant colony problem on the grass and are not fire ants small inconvenience. However it was great to have stay at the campsite. The location is great if you are visiting Rockport Texas. For camping recommend to bring a long extension cord at minimum 25 feet so that it can reach the power supply source. Highly recommend this campsite for your camping experience and relaxation.

We had a great stay near Port A! The site was clean and well-maintained, and we really appreciated the concrete pad — it made setup easy and kept everything tidy. It looks like the property is also an Airbnb, with two RV spots that both have full hookups, which was super convenient. The location was quiet and a perfect base for exploring the area. Would definitely stay here again!

We have a big rig that backed into space easily which is a blessing. The full hook-up (50 amp electric, water and sewer connection) worked like a charm.
The neighborhood is walking distance to the beach and some cool local hangouts. It was a quiet safe spot and we loved it.
Fulton and Rockport have cool tourist shops, a really great HEB grocery store and good easy access gas stations.

This South Texas spot was a hidden gem. We pitched on a lovely homestead under a beautiful tree with longhorns and pot belly pigs as our neighbors. The host, Aislynn was welcoming and full of knowledge and we enjoyed getting to know her. I definitely recommend this spot for all hipcampers.

This hidden gem should not be missed! Camped under a beautiful tree with easy access to electricity, water and outhouse. Great experience on homestead with incredible host, longhorns, pigs, chickens and beautiful vegetable gardens. We were close to stores and restaurants if needed and extended trip because we didn’t want to leave. If we could we’d stay even longer! Thank you Aislynn for an amazing experience we will never forget.

This is a nice spot within walking distance of restaurants, bars and the Fulton pier. Property was clean and well kept. This is a good pet friendly spot too, the Moondog restaurant is a couple of blocks away and allowed us to walk through and sit on their back deck with our dog, As well as a bar around the corner called lulu's.
We had a little issue with the lockbox for the power when we arrived later in the evening, but Patrick was very quick to respond and pleasant to work with, he came out and had us fixed up quickly.
We would/will definitely use this property again!

Where to go
Padre Island National Seashore
You might not expect the world’s largest remaining barrier island to be in Texas, but Padre Island is exactly that. That’s not the only unique aspect of this place: One part of the island is Laguna Madre, one of the saltiest lagoons in the world. Here, you can see over 380 species of migratory birds, and enjoy waterfowl hunting (if you have a permit). The island is also great for windsurfing, in addition to swimming, canoeing or kayaking, all just a twenty minute drive from town.
Mustang Island State Park
Under 30 minutes from Corpus Christi, this is a great state park for enjoying this stretch of Texas’ Gulf coast. Beaching, birdwatching, and boating are just a few popular activities at Mustang Island State Park. The 20-mile paddling trail offers the opportunity to see coastal birds and their natural habitats, or fish the shallow waters, and there’s plenty of room to adventure.
Goose Island State Park
For a shadier camping option, Goose Island has pines and greenery where you can have more privacy. Here, campers can book sites that have access to showers and electricity access, and reservations for these sites are highly recommended. Additionally, this is a popular spot for fishing and boating. Don’t miss The Big Tree, one of the biggest live oak trees in the United States and formerly the State Champion Coastal Live Oak.
When to go
You can go here year round, but late summer and Fall are the best times to visit Corpus Christi. For one, the weather is cooler during this time but the Gulf waters are still warm enough for swimming and boating activities. Additionally, you’ll find much fewer tourists and can enjoy less crowded beaches.
Know before you go
- The town of Corpus Christi has much to offer in the realm of restaurants and cultural activities, so be sure to stop by if you’re visiting and that interests you.
- Texas has a ban on public camping, so make sure you’re in a place that allows it before you pitch a tent.
