At the designated tent camping sites, you will find oak groves that provide opportunities for shade. The RV sites are in a picturesque field that provides excellent views of the sunset. The field leads down to incredible cypress trees lining the Medina River. We also have a primitive camping area down by the river that requires you to park in a parking area and walk to your preferred camping spot.
If you are looking for solitude and untouched nature, this is the place for you. The comforts of Bandera are conveniently only a 5 minute drive away. We are located less than 2 miles from Bandera City Park!
At this time, all sites are completely dry. We do have porta-potties available. RV sites are boondocking only (no water or electric at this time.) Guests may stay at Memmie’s Farm for a maximum of 6 consecutive nights.
Our slice of land on the Medina River is truly gorgeous! There are beautiful cypress trees that are magical year round, and there are often small rapids. If relaxing in the shade by the river and dipping your feet in is your thing, our property is perfect for that! However, this is not a swimming hole. The Medina River is generally not considered safe in Bandera, TX, due to consistent low flow. Swim at your own risk.

Our property features a shared, covered outdoor patio with a games court for corn hole, checkers, and bocce (checkers, boards and balls provided), gas fire pit, and a gas grill for those cooler nights. The patio is lighted with cafe lights.
One of the RV slips is covered, while the other is nestled under a charming burr oak tree. On-site, we also offer a rental cabin. The covered RV slip is equipped with 30 and 50 amps, the other hookup is 50 amp, both have their own water and clean out connections.
Both RV slips are on grass/dirt, and the entrance/exit is grass and dirt.
*****IF IT RAINS heavily while you are here, please use the paved driveway to exit the property as you may get stuck in the grass at the big double gate.*****
Our property uses rain water recapture. Please conserve water when you can when cooking, washing up and cleaning. No washing of cars or RVs is allowed.
Please note that there might be other guests staying on the property during your visit. Kindly be considerate of noise levels and how it may impact the experience of fellow guests. You may also be sharing amenities such as the grill, deck, outdoor kitchen, and games court.

1100 acres of gorgeous natural land at the headwaters of the Medina River. Crystal clear and clean spring feed water. Fourth-generation family owners. Remote camping. About 2 miles as a crow flies from Lost Maples State Park. You drive through a 13,000-acre ranch to get to us. We are at the end of a dead-end road with one way in and one way out.
NO FISHING
As our topo map shows we have a wide variety of terrain ranging from steep cliffs with huge views to shady canyons. The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around.
We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails.
There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful.
We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch.
Every camp spot has access to all the swimming holes except the ladder when it is booked. The main swimming holes are--

We currently have two campsites privately set aside from our 25 acre homestead that each include their own personality. The stars out here are INCREDIBLE. Tom and Rhonda Fousek opened "A Peace of Heaven Log Cabins" in 2003. We love camping, RVing, and the outdoors and wanted to give families the same adventure we have had in the Texas Hill Country with the comfort of home.
Nestled in the Texas Hill Country is A Peace of Heaven. Come relax, swim, bird watch, hike, play volleyball, ping pong, build a fire and roast marshmallows. Incredible piece of property just outside downtown Blanco, but far enough away to feel like you’re truly alone. William was an awesome host and very responsive to all our questions. The property, camp site and restroom were clean and easy to find. Easy hikes and we didn’t even get to see all the property! We will absolutely Be back to enjoy all that Williams property has to offer. The only thing I could ask for would be a proper picnic table in the oak grove instead of the small metal table, but we made it work. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this site, or any of the others in the future! We will be back!

I have camped at this property before but always at the Live Oak Vista. This was my first time camping at the hill side live oak Grove, and I loved it! The views were amazing, and it felt very private. The site itself was so sprawled out, and just overall a perfect campsite. I also feel like I heard and saw more wildlife at this location which I loved. i will always keep coming back to this property, I have camped at several other hipcamps and this one is still my favorite. Also Blanco is my favorite Texas town.

Great spot with awesome view. Very relaxing. Lots of deer. Coyotes howling in the distance. Was worried we wouldn’t make it up the short drive pulling a small high clearance camper due to one small section, but after a few attempts was able to make it with a Subaru. Will be back for sure. It’s also close to town if you want to run out.

I stayed at the Rough Ridge. It had awesome views and was very secluded. The road getting to it from one directions is very easy. The other road is a little more challenging (fun) but would recommend 4x4. Fritz was a very gracious host and there was great communication from him after booking. I looked at all his sites and you can't go wrong with any of them. Thank you Fritz for sharing you place with everyone.

Grapevine Springs is the ultimate getaway, with emphasis on getaway. The views are breathtaking from top of mountains to the valleys below. Endless hiking opportunities and photo shoots around every corner. This is our second trip here and it was as exciting as ever. We did not camp, but the campsite is well thought out and everything you could imagine is provided. Wilson has added a cover over the campsite which is a wonderful addition the property. Wilson is the ultimate host and guide. You do not have to worry about being off the grid because Wilson is very attentive and keeps an eye out if you don't get out by dark. We broke down half way out and Wilson came out of the blue and helped get our vehicle running in no time. Do not hesitate to book this peaceful, serene piece of the beautiful hill country. Stress will be left as soon as you enter this sanctuary.

This Hipcamp spot is hands down one of the best we’ve stayed at. The property is massive (around 1100 acres), which makes it perfect for overlanders who want space, privacy, and the freedom to truly choose their own camp spot. There are plenty of trails to explore, and the terrain keeps things interesting without feeling crowded or restricted.
Warren, the host, was outstanding. He checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He was also incredibly kind with our kids and even let them play together, which made the experience feel more like visiting friends than just camping.
If you’re into overlanding, off-grid camping, or just want a wide-open Texas camping experience, this place is hard to beat. Easily one of the best spots in Texas and we’ll definitely be back.

Super clean, high quality amenities. The sauna was awesome, love the smell of cedar. We tent camped, i would say if you come after a rain like we did, be careful on the road to the tent camping area as we had a Subaru forester that still slid around quite a bit in the mud. Overall I’d definitely recommend the spot, especially to tent campers who want to get away from everyone else while still having good amenities

This spot is absolutely amazing! The pond site is beautiful, very private, and quiet. I drove in with a RTT on my 4runner and made it easily to the property with plenty of room to set up. The written directions were spot on and Fritz was very welcoming upon arrival. Plenty of great views to hike around and see as well. I’ll definitely be back!

This campsite was absolutely beautiful. The night sky was full of stars, and the site itself felt very private and spacious. Everything was ready for us when we arrived; the compost toilet was clean and freshly prepared, and the land looked recently maintained. You can tell the host really cares about the space. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at site 2 (Stargazer) -- plenty of room for my 4Runner, easy in and out. I was by myself, but there's ample room for several tents, easily, if you're in a group. As the name suggests, the view of the stars in this spot is awesome. Wimberley is a verified Dark Sky Community, meaning there is little light pollution, so you'll notice a mammoth difference in what you can see compared to a city environment. Directions were easy to follow (just make sure you go in the correct gate; there are two at the spot where GPS leads you. It's the one on your left). The site was completely free of any trash or other debris; if it wasn't for the fire ring you wouldn't necessarily think it was a campsite that a lot of people use day in and day out (which is a good thing). Kudos to the owners for designing it and maintaining it so well. Speaking of which, I got the chance to meet Bud when he happened to drive by on the way to his house elsewhere on the property. Great guy, talked at length with me about the land and gave some advice and ideas for exploring. Very nice of him. Site 1 is fairly close by, but not so close that you can see it from where you are. You would definitely hear your neighbors if they're noisy/rowdy but the guys that pulled into Site 1 on my second night were not like that at all. I can't recommend this place enough, and I'll definitely be back.
P.S. Look for the bear -- he's pretty tame and will even let you take a selfie with him. ;)

This was truly a remote spot that felt like you were nowhere near civilization although it was only a 1.5 hour drive from Helotes. We loved the views, river crossings, and hiking. It was so nice to be able to let our small dogs hike with us off leash- and feel so safe! The campsite was clean and had a picnic table as well as great trees to hang your hammock. Communication with host was punctual and friendly. We will definitely be back and try out different spots on the property.
