Situated on-site are over 100 undeveloped acres boasting numerous hiking trails, ideal for mountain biking or a serene walk amidst abundant wildlife, including trophy Whitetail Deer, Turkey, Armadillos, Hawks, and other captivating wild birds. WEST CAVE OUTDOOR DISCOVERY CENTER (2.6 mi) is open by reservation only for guided tours of the waterfall/cave-no swimming allowed. No dogs allowed at West Cave

Private primitive camping spot. You are able to park your car close. Shaded. Woke up to turkeys gobbling a couple mornings and my last morning there were cows crazing on the pasture property next to this campsite! :)
The shared kitchen was nice, and if you need to boil water to make food, note it took quite a long time for the pot of water to boil, so take that into consideration for any foods you may want to cook on the double burner.
Loved the private bathrooms. They are “outside”/open air- meaning there is no ceiling, but there is the large roof that covers the entire area. There’s also a fan for hot weather and a heater for cool weather to help make the space more comfortable.
I would definitely camp here again as it was a good location to access Pedernales Falls SP and other local hiking spots/state parks.

We loved Primitive I- it was very secluded and away from the other campers! The water spigot isn’t at the site, but instead, up at the community area. The bathroom and showers were also clean, but it was near the entrance, away from the camp site. We would camp here again!

Soooo many trees and such a beautiful property! We loved our stay and will definitely be back. The glamping set up is just perfect! Bed is super comfortable, camping cookware provided, electricity and unlimited firewood is a huge plus! Let’s not forget the coffee station and convenient location of the loo for all your bathroom needs. We had such a peaceful and relaxing time around the campfire, under the stars and moon. Exactly what we needed, a wonderful reset! The host is so friendly and responds quickly. Don’t hesitate and book this site, you will be in camping heaven!

Lovely place to stay with a lovely view. Lodging was clean and well kept, the host was kind and accommodating, and check out was simple. Our stay was quiet and peaceful, enjoying good views with coffee in the morning and stargazing with wine at night. This spot was perfect. Nice area, clean restrooms, simple arrival instructions. Stayed at site F, loved how secluded it was by trees for privacy. It’s a slight incline hill to pull in. Was lucky to catch the best wolf supermoon here! Not a good sunset spot unless you go to the top of the hill at the entrance. Respectful neighbors. Easiest location with pedernales falls Nextdoor. Can’t wait to come back.

What a beautiful spot to get into nature and relax. Sherri and Johnnie were very friendly, greeting us above arrival to show us to campsite #1. Which was terrific!! Nice tree coverage, picnic tables, grills and fire ring all ready to go. Site was spacious and private. We wanted to get out of the city without having to drive hours away and boy did this place deliver. We had such an amazing weekend and will definitely be back.

Amy and Ranch 3232 were incredibly welcoming for my weekend away, providing safe maintained spaces while still feeling like I was off grid in the woods. Easy access to potable water, plenty of sunshine in the mornings and shade in the afternoons, and super easy access to Pedernales State Park near by.

There is an option for everyone needing a place to make a home base in the hill country be it a house rental, an rv spot or a tent! We stayed in a remote tent spot and had a very enjoyable experience. The community showers and restroom space was really nice to have. An especially great location for Pedernales Falls State Park visitors. We’ll definitely recommend this place and hopefully get to come stay again sometime.

Had a rough night after leaving a previously booked site that we were not too fond of. Booked this property because we didn't want to drive all the way back to Austin and pulled into a tent site at night and was skeptical of the property due to the site's being so close. Oh what a surprise we got in the morning! Turns out that the tent and primitive sites are pretty dispursed. We have a pop up tent on my truck and we probably should have booked a primitive site but being close to the showers was awesome. Will definitely be back!

Sheri and Johnnie are the sweetest couple! We loved our stay, felt super comfortable and safe! You do hear donkeys for an hour or so early in the morning and evening during their meal time (cutest donkeys ever btw), once they get fed it’s pretty quiet! This was our pups first camping trip and she was SO comfortable the entire time. We live in Austin so this is a perfect quick, easy getaway!
