1 night at Circle C CampGrounds

Circle C CampGrounds was a convenient location for me to spend a night while hiking a short portion of the Lone Star Hiking Trail (LSHT) The campground is spacious and peaceful, and just steps away from the trail. I enjoyed the comforts available such as the lighted pavilion with sockets for charging my phone, potable water for drinking, and a flush toilet and outdoor shower. This campground is a nice option for folks who want to backpack but are not quite reading to rough it overnight at a primitive campsite along the trail. I had the entire place to myself on a Tuesday night in April. I did not meet Terry in person but we had great communication via the app and by text. I would stay here again, and would recommend it to others.

Circle C was a great place to camp, I was very comfortable, I love that he provided firewood free of charge, Terry was very accommodating and helpful. the hiking trails next to the campground were really nice. the campground itself was kept up very nice as well as the bathroom, shower area, it was nice that there was available hot water and electric in the common area if I needed it.

I love camping here, it is very peaceful, everything is clean and organized. Hollie and Davey are very nice and always checking on you. Favorite part their Director of guest services (their lovely dog Shasta) is beautiful and very friendly. I will keep coming here, totally worth it for a getaway camping.

We had a lovely relaxing weekend camping at Circle C! On arrival we were met by the owner Terry who showed us to our spot (4) in the corner and stopped for a chat. Very nice guy! The campsite was great, all sites nicely spaced out, firewood and fire pits provided. We enjoyed a days hiking on the various trails which pass the camp gate (including the Lone Star Hiking Trail). There is a pavilion with toilet, shower and cooking area available for use, it was always clean and well stocked with the needed. All in all a great trip, we will be back for sure- thanks Terry!

1 night at CAMP JOY - RV / TENTS CALDWELL, TX

We loved staying at Camp Joy! The land was beautiful, the bathroom was clean and the shower was really nice. The view of the water from our tent was so beautiful and it was so peaceful. There is some road noise but it wasn't overbearing. An abundance of firewood was already provided at each campsite as well which was great! We did have a puppy come visit us that wandered onto the campsite from across the street. We didn't mind and he was super friendly. We actually really enjoyed the little guy, haha. We also saw the cat Duchess that lives on the property who was sweet as well. Overall it was a trip full of animals and beautiful views. Will definitely want to come again!

We loved our stay on Terry's land! It was such a beautiful area and had great amenities. The toilets are clean and there is a sink and picnic table area you can cook and clean up in. We enjoyed the hiking trails that were accessible right from the site. Terry was very accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be returning!

Everything we needed and more! We were met at check-in to make sure we had everything we needed, including firewood. Peaceful spot with plenty of space, located conveniently right on the trail. We had a great time.

After weather conditions ruined our area Ms. Dana accommodated us to a cabin! We had a great time! Such a great space for the kiddos and fur babies to run around. Even got to meet Miss Chica 🐈‍⬛ Would definitely recommend!

3 nights at Wild and Boujee Ranch

This was a nice spot with lots of open spaces, both up by the RV site and down by the river. We were close to Bastrop State Park and downtown Bastrop for shopping and restaurants. The new pad sites overlooked the river below. Please note that there are electrical hookups at the pads but water and sewer are by the front entrance of the property.

I am a 58 year old woman and stayed in the cabin alone for 3 nights. I loved my time there. Terry provided everything one would need for a stay including coffee, creamer and sugar! . But, he also went above and beyond paying attention to the smallest of details to create an amazing experience including leaving a walking stick by the door as there is direct access to the Lone Star Trail. I enjoyed a fire in the pit including the wood and starter. Terry checked in with me twice to make sure I had everything I needed. The cabin is spotless and beautiful adding to the vacation experience. I can’t wait to go back and bring my grandkids! Thank you Terry

Terry has an amazing piece of property for camping! Clean toilet/outdoor shower! Terry provides the fire wood, outdoor games and just a great experience. We will be coming back!

Also recommend visiting "Washington on the Brazos", the birthplace of Texas and is where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed. It is also a State Park. The "Aggieland Wild Animal Safari" is outside of Bryan College Station and is a great place to take the kids to interact with all kinds of animals. Offers a drive-thru in which you can drive thru as many times as you want, as well as a petting zoo and gift shop. And, if you like shopping, there are lots of antique shops and wineries at Round Top, another scenic drive about 45 minutes away. And all the ice cream lovers must visit the home of "Blue Bell" in Brenham, TX which is only open to the public during the weekdays, not weekends. While in Brenham, kids love to skate at the historic "Silver Wings Ballroom", known as one of the best skating rinks in Texas! Check for local events happening all around such as Aggie Football Games, Snook ChiliFest, Market Days on the Square in Caldwell and much, much more! Our Campsites are set up along the LSHT between Trailhead 3 and 4, in the Pole Creek trail area. We have 6 campsites and 1 campsite with a yurt and 1 cabin that sleeps 4. The campsites all have fire pits. There is a pavilion with a summer kitchen and BBQ pits for cooking meals. Shower (with hot water) and restroom are available for campers.
