Peaceful, quiet, luxurious, historic, wine country experience. Tara Winery offers a unique vineyard and winery resort style experience. Discover Tara and the myths surrounding the secrets of the vines. TARA was named after the sailboat TARA, pierce family started the vineyard in 2006 and opened the winery in 2007. The historic Murchison mansion is an iconic structure in the midst of the vines. Onsite tasting room and restaurant with share plates and full meals. In 2023, we have added a beautiful 50 ft pool with lovely water features, there is an activity fee to use the pool. Please plan to arrive before dark, so you can get settled in the daylight. If you would like a beautiful view of the winery property, ground camping throughout the vineyard is available and most popular ! I4 acres with spring-fed creek, just a few minutes from Lindale restaurants and supplies. For more info about the tiny house or yurt rentals, please inquire. It has extended acreage with multiple ecosystems. I just found a spring and will be doing livestock. There is yurt and tiny house for rent. There is an RV plug, electricity (extra fee), and a water hose. The site is close to downtown Lindale (5 minutes) restaurants and shopping. 15 minutes from tyler. It is country living but still close to city action. The lower parts of the property require 4-wheel drive, but the top has water and electricity, so any car is fine. As this is an outdoor area, there are bugs and critters. I have never had a problem, but this is notice that you agree to assume all liability and responsibility for your party by camping at this property. NEW: Starlink Satellite Internet! Unleased Pets are added fee. If they are in a structure other than your own, they must be in a crate, or we have a fenced dog park area.

Weekend Trip to Tara Vineyard & Winery estate

Had an awesome tent camping experience here at Tara Vineyard and Winery! First of there are adorable animals 💜. Secondly the bathroom amenities were super clean! Note that the shower is an outdoor shower so be sure to bring a bathing suit to shower in. The shower water was lukewarm, but honestly didn’t bother me. Overall had a great time camping here. Sadly, we didn’t make time to try out the winery, but guess we’ll have to come back and try it out! The charcuterie boards looked amazing though 😍!

Pros: - Joe and Joe Sr. were so friendly and welcoming. They were the best part of this site. - They made every effort to accomodate our needs. - Beautiful land, very quiet. - Joe Sr. took us on a tour of the property, including his ATV area. - Lots of hang out spaces under covered areas, so could accomodate very large groups. Cons: - The Electrical box malfunctioned and we were not able to hook up our 50 amp. We tried the 20 amp but that ended up failing too. We ended up having to run our generator, but the hosts covered our gas. They felt so badly about this and were trying to fix the unexpected problem. - The bathrooms were very rustic. The women’s door was locked, and the men’s bathroom had flushing troubles. The inside bathroom was fine, but with 8 in our party, it was inconvenient to only have one bathroom/shower. There were no sewage hookups. - Spaces need updating - Price was high for partial hookup and out-dated, poorly functioning spaces

The space is beautiful and always improving. There is a dog park almost finished, and a beautiful creek at the end of the property along a sandy wooded area that is a bit of a trek through some wetland, but will soon be a nice dry walk. The animals roam freely and the land is bordered by two farmlands with wide pasture and forested hill...and no farmy smells! If youre looking to learn how a homestead can be built, this is the place to come. You can wander the forest, forage for wild edible plants, check out how the spring has been tapped, and soon bathe in spring fed pools! We love it and have been here for three months, planning to stay longer 😀

Every time I come through, the coyote campground is my hip camp of choice. The town is bustling only 6 miles away, the campsites are spacious, and there's even a dog park being fenced in for camping pups! The free roaming mini goats are the best 😀

Perfect location, not too close and not too far from town. Beautiful land, clear skies, and a magical white cow roaming the forest, so absolutely wonderful that we extended our stay! Thank you so much for allowing our mobile homestead to camp out for a while, and for having an affordable rate, we will definitely come back if we are ever traveling through again 😃❤️👍🙏🙌
