Also, on the way to Fall Creek Mennonite community is Fall Creek Falls Riding Stables. They provide a guided horseback tour through the woods. It normally takes an hour.

You'll be surprised at how cool the tents stay under the forest canopy in the heat of summer. Then in the colder months we have various heating options to keep you cozy in 3 of the dwellings I hope you come to share this with us, it's an amazingly peaceful area.
Nearly 3 miles of hiking trails to enjoy during your visit. Take a spur trail off the main trail loop and there is a prayer shelter with a fire pit inspired by Luke 6:12 in the back corner of the property. Located at the edge of the prarie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill.
A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer!

BBA guests frequently camp with a tent, vehicle, smaller camper, hammock tent, roof top tent, pop-up camper and similar styles. Most photos in this listing are taken onsite. Please keep in mind this is primitive and wild Tennessee landscape that may also contain poisonous plants and wildlife in or around camp.
Access to fresh water fun is a short down-hill hike for all guests, with the exception of our hike-in campsites which are positioned alongside the river. Each spot has been strategically selected to provide as much privacy as possible, and comfortably accommodates groups with two vehicles. We provide a rock fire pit and heavy-duty, cast-iron grill grate. You provide everything else, including drinking water and personal toilet waste bags if you plan to use our system. The hike-in sites come with extra seating. Every guest must be included on your reservation, and adult guests may be required to provide identification. Thank you!
COMMUNITY COMFORT STATION: There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower stall for hanging your own solar shower bag. The comfort station also includes a changing room which doubles as a private place to use your portable camping toilet. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided but guests will need to use their own waste disposal bags, available at most camping supply stores. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires.
OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS: Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or some muddy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. Vehicles with low ground clearance or low-profile tires are no longer permitted to use the off-road drive and must park at the entrance. If you want a campsite with the shortest walk from the entrance parking area, you will want to select campsite 5, 9 or 6. When the road is open during unusually wet periods, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. We are continuously working on improvements for our off-road drive.

Expect nothing short of 360 degree views of relaxing nature, privacy, and spontaneous adventure when recreating at this agritourism location. Central to the most beautiful middle Tennessee destinations, BBA is the perfect home base for hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing excursions to at least 10 nearby state parks and lakes. The Property:
Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek.
We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. We have other listings that are spaced so each of our guests has privacy. Please see aerial photo for an overview. We sometimes have small events (birthday parties, ect) at the pavilion. Please feel free to message us first, if you would like to see if there are any events during your stay.
There are 2 restrooms centrally located at the pavilion. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well.
We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion.
Quiet hours are 10pm-8am.
Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property.

The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, extra blankets & essential cooking gear. There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink!
Primitive Camp Site:
The rustic camp site is DIY. It is 300' from pavilion, and 600' from Tent in the Trees. We provide a picnic table and fire pit You bring all the rest of your gear. Typically, you may park next to your campsite.
No RV's, converted vans are permitted. If you have a very small camper, please message us to see if we can accommodate. There are no hookups, and no loud generators allowed.

Really nice well kept spots, well spaced, most of them very private. I choose site three and after viewing the others I think I choose the best one. All of them are nice tho and I did not view the hike in spots as they are private to those who reserve them. The hiking trails were short , which worked well with my limited time there, but most led to a nice private stream. Had it been a bit warmer I can only imagine how nice it would have been to shower under the little waterfall (soap free of course). There is a nearby highway, it is distant enough that it is not bothersome at all, but if you're looking for that dead silent but for the sounds of nature night, you won't quite have that. Nice custom cooking grates for the fire rings.

The campsites were very nice and conveniently located near the nature center of fall creek falls. Each site has large rocks to sit on and fire rings made of stacked stone. Some sites have shelters and there is a very clean port a potty. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful camp site! It was secluded and had a perfect flat area for my tent. The hosts were wonderful and attentive and had the sweetest pups! Great trails around the property also! I would love to stay again and highly recommend

Christine’s land is so special. I had a great experience and I left so restored- exactly what I needed. I hope to suit up with lighter gear and camp but the river sometime in the future. Spending my afternoon there was truly so peaceful, but I loved my site (no. 6) and its blanket of green trees and incredible birdsong and butterflies. Truly can’t wait to visit again! Absolutely beautiful campsite, with everything I needed! It was secluded and had a great level spot for my tent. There are also great trails on the property. The hosts were wonderful and attentive and had the sweetest pups! I loved it so much, I extended my stay a few nights. I certainly hope to return!

Very nicely spread out campsites, very private. Great place to hang out for a few days in nature. Chris was very nice and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Great place to camp! Quiet and secluded, and we loved being right on the river-such a peaceful spot. It was also perfect for letting our dog explore off leash. We briefly met Chris, and he was very nice and seemed accommodating if needed.

My friends and i absolutely LOVE staying at this campsite. Chris is kind and down to earth every time we come see him. The woods are very beautiful and private, yet not far from help if anything happens. We love walking along the river, and exploring around a bit to see what we can find. We will continue to visit every year!

I loved camping on Alice's land! We were greeted with such kindness, the view was absolutely beautiful, playing in the waterfalls was SO fun, and our site was very private. Cannot recommend enough!

This was by far one of the best camping experiences we have had as a family.
There is SO MUCH SO CLOSE to the campsite
You pull into parking and there's a wrapping trail that follows the creek starting at the top looking down off a 50-100 foot cliff (rough estimate) going around to the bottom where on the opposite side your looking up a 50 -100 foot cliff
Creek is right next to the campsite so you get to listen and hear the water all day and night it was amazing. The Water was lower when we went which was better for us as we had a toddler that could play with her life vest. There was two swimming holes i didn't get to check out in that bend that I can't wait to next time
Next jus a lil further down at their venue there is two water falls and a amazing wrapping cliff.
We played in the larger waterfall for one day and it was a blast
We got some pics and there's others on this site but truthfully the saying pictures don't do it justice really has never been more relevant. Alice was a amazing host and super helpful Thanks you so much for sharing your land with us and allowing us to experience this we can't wait to come back
