You'll be surprised at how cool the tents stay under the forest canopy in the heat of summer. Then in the colder months we have various heating options to keep you cozy in 3 of the dwellings. Nearly 3 miles of hiking trails to enjoy during your visit. Take a spur trail off the main trail loop and there is a prayer shelter with a fire pit inspired by Luke 6:12 in the back corner of the property. Located at the edge of the prairie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, Blackstone grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill.
A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer!

Camp Chet was founded with the purpose to help people encounter God through outdoor experiences. It over 900 acres of private forested land on Whitwell Mountain, which is part of the Cumberland Plateau in Southeast Tennessee.

We loved our two night stay at the Beech Tree House. The Tree House is an admirable and creative construction nestled on the edge of a cliff right next to a Beech tree. It was fun to stay on the futon bed which is under a roof but on the edge of being 'outside' - so one could listen to night sounds, watch the night sky, and drift in and out of dreams. The night sky was incredible with so many stars!
The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook. There was also a grill and a firepit. The shower was strong and warm.
Our daughter who loves art and drawing enjoyed the sketches and paintings guests have left in the Treehouse. She added to the collection.
This was our second stay at The Falls at Sewanee Creek. The first time we stayed in the Trampoline Tree Tent - also fun, but more bare bones than the Tree House. We love the grounds, the opportunity to wander down the gorge at the base of the water fall, and all of the creative dwellings and whimsical art that are around the property.
Grant and Becky are fantastic and thoughtful hosts. Check in and check out was easy and quick, always coupled with an interesting conversation with Grant.
We came back for a second visit because we loved everything about The Falls at Sewanee Creek, and because there are great hikes nearby with beautiful old growth forests and rock formations (check out the Fiery Gizzard Trail).

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Acres at TNcampground
Loved staying at this spot for one night while on a road trip. Host was very responsive and provided helpful directions to find the campground. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. We used our own sleeping bag and pillows, we had lanterns but didn’t really need them since there were lights in our area as well as the shared bathroom. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our first time in the treehouse and we loved it! It was a magical experience and the land was gorgeous. The amenities were very convenient and made our stay super enjoyable. I especially loved the AC in the loft after a long hot day. Would definitely recommend staying here.

One of the first things you notice is how quiet it is! We stayed in the windowed cabin, and it was an experience. With no lights on you could see the moon and stars looking out of the ceiling, all while enjoying the sound of nature. The host was warm and welcoming, as well as accommodating. If you’re looking for a quick getaway to disconnect this is the place to go!

Weekend Trip to The Falls at Sewanee Creek
Beautiful piece of property with multiple sites to choose from. Our site sat right along a really cool waterfall just a few steps away. Unfortunately the heat wave dried up the creek during our stay, but I can imagine how awesome it would be if it was flowing. We stayed for one night to catch a show at the Cavern. Would have loved to stay longer. Grant was great to speak with and gave us some good recommendations for food!

4 nights at The Falls at Sewanee Creek
This is our second time staying at the Beech Treehouse. What a magical place. Its quiet, calm, a perfect place to recharge. At night, fireflies come out to light the treelines. Deer can also be sleeping in the field in front of the tree house at night. The cooking setup is quite nice also, if you want to cook your own meals. The AC in the loft is a nice touch during summer. Such a wonderful experience.

The Glamper at Miller’s Falls was great. Hearing the falls from the tent was so relaxing and the craftsmanship is beautiful of the structure. The property is very beautiful and feels very safe!

3 nights at Spacious Skies Belle Ridge
Really beautiful little campground. The swimming hole was lovely, the waterfall and fishing hole hikes were beautiful. The small cabin I stayed in was clean and cozy and in good working order. Staff was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean but had a funky smell... I have a suspicion another camper was vaping in them while I was there. It should be noted that the interstate is not far away. Though not loud or obtrusive, you could hear the hum of traffic 24/7
