Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping.
There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

Clayton Geneva Camp Ground began as a retreat for our family since the 70's. My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family.
Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile.
Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy.
Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

Weekend Trip to Clayton Geneva Memorial Camp Ground
Staying on Amber's property was phenomenal! We stayed in Jewel's Covered Wagon, and the glamping factor was TOP NOTCH. A cute and cozy covered wagon tiny space, including a dehumidifier/cooling unit (yay for cool air!), a small coffee maker, bench seats for sitting inside, small table and chairs on the deck....and an AMAZING host, Amber! She was prompt in answering our messages through the HipCamp app, and accomodating any and all of our requests. We knew going in that we were in for a rain filled weekend, but, it was PERFECT. A bundle of wood was there for us to use, a firepit, a picnic table, and a small iron grill. 2 EXTREMELY CLEAN port-o-potty's to use for bathroom needs, also right arctic across from our site. She does have showers also, up by the RV area. The site is just a 2 minute stroll from the Cumberland River, which was so peaceful!
Absolutely a FIVE STAR experience, and we'll definitely go back again, for rain or shine camping! Thank you, Amber! 💚

This has to be one of the absolute best places to go camping! The hosts are wonderful people. They go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful time when you stay with them. Not only are the facilities exceptionally clean and nice, it's a very safe and welcoming environment. I can't think of a single negative comment to make about this place other than that I wish it was closer to where I live so I could go more often! In a world where it seems people care more about making money than being nice and doing what's right, it is so refreshing to run into such admirable people. I came away from my trip not just feeling more relaxed and refreshed, but also feeling more optimistic about people in general. Thank you both for such a wonderful experience! I will definitely be going back to camp at Patrick's Point River Camp. One regret I have is that due to some significant allergies, I can't enjoy the Costa Rican breakfast that Angelica makes. I would say if you're able that is a must try! Once again, thank you for such a wonderful experience!

This was our second visit to River Tree and the same as the first visit it was amazing. I cannot say enough about the hosts. they are amazing and the friendliest people I have ever met camping. Constantly checking to make sure you need anything and always giving advice on things to do.
The camp sites are just perfect. I would not change a thing about them. Beautifully laid out, well cleared and clean waking to views of the river. The bathrooms are extremely clean and a hot shower at the end of a humid day was a relief.
It rained a good portion of the time we were there but with the wild life, we did see two bald eagles fly by our camp, it was still perfect.
To end it all an amazing Costa Rican breakfast from Angelica was a dream.
This place is perfect. Do not miss it.

I stayed at the secluded riverside cabin and it was awesome! Patrick was so friendly and accommodating. This Hipcamp had so much to offer…bathrooms,showers,kayaks and so many styles of “roughing it”. Also close to a variety of outdoor activities and parks. I would definitely stay if I ever am back in the area

This is a great RV camp with a plethora of other accommodation options. We loved our two nights there but it would be a great location for a reunion! Those with RVs could camp but there are ‘Tree House’ cabins, retro campers, glamping tents and more!
The pads are all concrete and level. Everything is well maintained. The showers are AMAZING! The facilities are clean and have a nice vibe. We even got to play a game of ping pong outdoors. We didn’t try the pool but it too was very clean and would be a great addition for many. Yes, there is some road noise but we were in a teardrop with the windows screened and the vent on. We were not bothered a bit. Couldn’t recommend higher!
Also, there is a trolley to Gatlinburg if that is your thing. Parking there is crazy expensive so this is an added perk at Camp LeConte Luxury Outdoor Resort among many, many perks!

We had a wonderful family camping trip here and truly enjoyed every moment. The campground was peaceful, well-maintained and perfect for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was river tubing in the creek behind our campsite. Our kids absolutely loved it!
The host was incredibly kind and flexible, graciously accommodating our request to shift our reservation by a day due to some travel logistics. That level of understanding and hospitality made the experience even better.
Everything on the property was clean, organized and working exactly as expected. We would absolutely recommend this campground to anyone looking for a quiet, family-friendly escape in nature.

I was happy to find Patricia’s Hipcamp so close to my cousin’s place. It is definitely convenient to just about anything you might need! I enjoyed watching the horses across the creek… one of them was actually splashing around in the water next to my site when I arrived. It is a very pretty spot, and everything was as described. The directions were clear, and the site was easy to find. I was, however, glad I brought bug spray because there were a lot of mosquitoes.

This place is my new favorite campground! Both Patrick and Angelica are very hospitable and even let us set up camp closer to the river than the site we'd originally booked! The campground is well maintained, but still gives the 'untouched natural beauty' vibe we were looking for. The night skies are just GORGEOUS and I truly cannot say enough nice things about our hosts. We opted for a costa rican breakfast the morning of our departure and I've got a new favorite snack(cinnamon sugar fried plantains!)
This campground is close to national parks and plenty of outdoor activities- we're going to have to come back and explore more, because 4 days was not nearly long enough!

We had a great stay at Low Meadow Farms Hipcamp on Site 10. The creek wrapped around two sides of the campsite, and hearing the cool water flowing over the rocks made it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Since Site 10 is a group site, there was more than enough room for our small hiker camper, a tent, and still plenty of extra space for additional campers if needed.
The campground was super quiet, and all the other campers we met were very friendly. We also appreciated the little touches like the solar shower, pavilion with picnic tables and a grill, and the beautiful prairie area to walk through and enjoy nature. There’s a water spigot available, but no electrical hookups — which was perfect for the kind of simple, unplugged camping experience we enjoy.

Where to go
Anderson County
Campgrounds are scattered along the shoreline beside Norris Dam, which sits at the southwestern edge of the lake in Anderson County. Small towns with camping, glamping, and RV sites include Rocky Top, Norris, and Andersonville.
Norris Dam State Park
The 19 cabins built by the Civilian Conservation Corps at Norris Dam State Park merge Depression-era history with modern amenities. The sprawling lakefront park also has two campgrounds, both with tent and RV campsites. A marina and a Southern Appalachia museum are bonus highlights.
Big Ridge State Park
Lakeside campsites accommodate tents and RVs at Big Ridge State Park, another Depression-era park constructed by the TVA and the CCC. Watersports are popular here, but hikers have plenty of options too, with 15 miles of trails exploring the forests, hollows, and ridges. Campgrounds are also scattered across the towns of Maynardville and New Tazewell.
Knoxville
Tennessee’s capital and the home of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville is a convenient launchpad for campers looking to mix urban adventuring with paddling and fishing at Norris Lake. In Knoxville, ride the elevator to the observation area atop the soaring Sunsphere, then check out the quarry and the nature center inside the Urban Wilderness, a network of parks and multi-use trails scattered across the city. Campgrounds surround the downtown area.
