Learn more about this land: We have water, septic and electrical hook ups (50 amp).  This is a back in site. If you are not comfortable backing in, this is not the site for you! If you are staying over the colder months, we do not allow the use of space heaters. You must be using propane to heat.  This is a farm and you are free to roam about in the front field around the camp site and watch the sunset, relax and simply enjoy nature. We are less than an hour drive to 4 different Tennessee State Parks and about 40 minutes east of Nashville.  We do not typically allow dogs for long term stays We have had some confusion come up because people aren't reading the site specifications, so here is the most important.  It is a gravel site, so it is not level. We do have cinder blocks at the site to help with leveling.  The site is going to accommodate rigs 35 to 36 ft max   However, you MUST be comfortable backing your rig.  In the winter, it is dark here by 4:30-5. So if you arrive at that time you will be setting up in the dark.  Make sure you are reading the rules and safety for what is allowed here.

You may also see wildlife, such as deer and turkey, strolling down the meadow on the lower part of your site. Strands of lighting and battery candles provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in the evenings. Coolers available if you need one. You can bring up to 2 extra tents for families looking for an out door experience . We will also have tents available for rent for families. Learn more about this land: Situated just outside of Columbia, TN (one of the state's most up-and-coming cities) and right on the same road as our 11th President, James K. Polk, once lived - Peekaboo Meadows & The Big Red Barn are waiting to welcome you! Pull in, drive down the grass road and over the small creek, put it in park at the barn and go stretch your legs on the 4o+ acres surrounding. During the day, feel welcome to walk the serene meadows or take a cleared trail up the ridge to the treehouse! Don't be surprised to be greeted by all kinds of wildlife including deer, turkey, foxes, or our goofy, fun-loving Golden Doodle named "Shme." If walking isn't your thing, you are welcome to drive around (4wd recommended) to go scout out where you'd like to set up camp for the night. If you prefer more peace and privacy, there are two beautiful meadows to choose from which both reach deeper into the property. If you'd prefer the comfort of additional shelter, you are welcome to park and/or set yourself up at the barn instead (which is a little closer to the main road). There is power to the barn - providing light, 30AMP power for RV hookup, as well as an electrical receptacle that you can run your extension chords from. For the extra adventurous - you may want to take a hike up "Thornbush Trail," which follows the ridge right up the middle of the property and has beautiful views of both meadows to either side. Or, for a more direct route, take a walk right up our dirt access road to the upper ridge, where you can peek through the treeline for beautiful elevated views eastward toward Columbia. Our treehouse (in progress) is located right at the top of the access road. Though the treehouse has not yet been completed, feel free to climb the 20' ladder up the inside of the hollowed out trunk and pop your head out the top! It sure makes a great photo! Come back to the barn area in the evening to lounge in the hammock, hang out around the picnic table, or cook dinner and roast some marshmallows over the wood burning fire pit with cooking grill attachment (fireside tools & 1 bundle of firewood provided). One filtered and cooled 5 gallon portable Igloo water cooler will also be provided and placed on the picnic table outside the barn. One rolling 96 gallon covered trash bin will be placed inside the barn (please bag your trash). "Luggable Loo" portable compost toilet is also available for use inside the barn. Tho cell & wifi are spotty here on the farm, we will provide one walkie talkie during your stay for direct communication with the main residence, should there be any issues or needs that arise. On the flip side, privacy is respected and use of the electronics is completely at your discretion! For recreation (each within 15-20 minutes of the farm):   1. Williamsport Public Fishing Lakes for fishing or kayaking   2. Stillhouse Hollow Falls Trail   3. Maury County Park with paved walking trail   Yummy food:   1. Puckett's Grocery and Restaurant (Also check out Hattie Jane's Creamery right next door for dessert!)  2. Shaffer Farms BBQ  3. Buck and Board Eatery 4. South Ahan (Thai) 5. China Chef (Chinese) If you're still itchin' for things to do or food to eat, we're certainly glad to provide further recommendations! Quarter Spring Farm is located in Liberty, TN on the western edge of the Cumberland Plateau. It comprises 63 acres of wooded ridges and hollows with exceptional hiking and distinct landscape features. Smith Fork Creek, which feeds Center Hill Lake, is visible from the campsite. Quarter Spring Farm’s history is murky and still being discovered. The house is over 100 years old. There are stone property walls that may predate the civil war. We believe this site was a Mississippian period settlement because of the large amount of artifacts we have found. Please note: there is no electricity at the dome. There will be a battery with a light and the option to charge your phone. There is no parking at the dome. The walk is uphill and takes about 5 minutes or so. This is still a tent, the dome is not insulated and is not 100% sealed. Bugs do get inside from time to time. I will also provide you with water for cleaning and at least a gallon to drink. Just let me know if you need more. If you can get here before it gets dark, that is the best. If you can’t, that’s ok, we’ll just be hiking in the dark. Luckily I know my way around pretty good.

The family we bought the farm from owned and farmed it since 1900. They built a cabin then and built a house around the cabin in 1920. We bought it in 2018 and have been renovating it to build a retreat center for first responders and others who serve unselfishly. To that end, we've cut hiking trails and campsites as well as filling the farm with livestock to help people slow down and de-stress. We're located in the beautiful green hills about an hour east of Nashville, Tennessee. Learn more about this land:Drift off to sleep with the sounds of a year-round creek just outside your campsite. Wake up to a beautiful meadow surrounded by green hills in rural Tennessee. Campsites are located on a 120 year old farm under restoration, which is family owned and operated. Get some time away. You'll have privacy as you explore the farm: wade the creek, sway on the tire swing, visit the farm animals (goats, cows, pigs, and chickens), pick wild berries, and sample farm fresh produce and eggs when available. Hiking trails are also available on the farm through tranquil woods.Property is easily accessible from Nashville. In addition, day trips are possible to several lakes, rivers, waterfalls, historic sites, civil war battlefields, state parks, and national wildlife areas.

We discovered this small homestead 18 years ago. It was built by a man preparing to go off grid, but he never did. In the intervening time, we became enthralled with growing vegetables, raising ducks, grazing sheep and hiking the hills behind us. Then Nicole discovered permaculture and began the process of changing the land using these practices. With our three dogs, cats, goats, sheep, rabbits, ducks and chicken (there is only one chicken), things can be pretty merry around her. There are aquaponics and hydroponics to check out for fun. Plus, Nicole is one of the region's only craft coffee roasters, so you are in for a treat if you come visit and like coffee because she tends to make coffee most mornings. Learn more about this land: Hang your hammock or pitch your tent in the back acres of a small homestead integrating permaculture practices. Hang out in our land for your whole visit checking out the holler we live in, dunk in the creek by the road, or drive over the hill to Center Hill Marine, or across the dam to Edgar Evins State park, or canoe the Caney Fork River! Sorry - No dogs please. Kayaking and fishing is also so close you can almost hear it - but you can't. Which is good.  Our property has a composting outhouse and the outdoor shower attached to the house has hot and cold water. We also have a nice, outdoor kitchen area to share that has a big sink and blackstone griddle. There is Wifi in the kitchen area and a plug for recharging devices. The camp site is a two-minute walk from the driveway and outhouse so be prepared to carry items in and take your morning constitutional walk.  We sometimes have homestead-produced items for sale. This is a functioning homestead, so we may be hosting an open house event, processing animals, or some other fun homestead happening activity during your stay.

Accommodates up to 2 adults (25+) and 2 children under 12. Nestled on five peaceful acres near Arrington, Franklin, Nolensville, Murfreesboro, and Nashville, this cozy barn retreat is the perfect escape to relax and recharge. Designed and built by a husband-and-wife duo, it blends rustic charm with thoughtful touches—featuring a king-size Casper bed, a cozy loft with a double bed for kids, and front porch rocking chairs ideal for morning coffee or evening sunsets. The kitchenette includes everything you need to make a hot meal—cookware, dishes, utensils, and a small refrigerator/freezer that can be pre-stocked with your favorite drinks upon request. There’s also a cooler on the porch and a small bar top that doubles as a workspace with a view. Guests can enjoy outdoor amenities including a fire pit, a stocked fishing pond, and fresh eggs upon request. You’re welcome to stroll the property, but please avoid the main residence’s deck, pool, and front yard. Fishing poles and tackle near the grill area are free to use—just return them after. Children must always be supervised around water. Please park on the gravel driveway only. Chickens roam freely during the day, and while they’re friendly, the rooster can be protective. Our dog, Petty, may wander by to say hello—let us know if that’s an issue and we can make arrangements. The tree swing and swing set are for children 12 and under. The barn accommodates two adults, and the loft is for up to two children. Please use caution with the ladder and never leave children unattended. Guests must be at least 25 to book. Your unit is part of a larger barn; the remaining space is used as a personal workshop that owners may occasionally access. These areas remain securely locked. This charming space offers a peaceful country retreat with the right mix of comfort and adventure. Whether you’re roasting marshmallows by the fire, fishing in the pond, or simply rocking on the porch, you’ll find plenty of reasons to slow down and stay awhile.

I love hosting and decorating, so the interior of the tent is constantly changing. Also features cedar outhouse with composting toilet, cedar bridges built across rocks, as well as two chair hammock area, picnic table and gas grill. Firepit has natural log seating and several more folding chairs, pillows and outdoor blankets stored in waterproof chest. We will provide drinking water and extra water for washing up. We supply all linens and dishware needs. First Aid Kit is provided, but we are just a short walk through the woods if you need anything. Nestled on 1 acre of our 10 acre hobby farm, which includes Peacocks, chickens, 4 cats, 7 Collies and a Weimaraner named Maggie, including a very friendly dwarf goat named Pickles. Hidden Timbers Homestead is a 7 acre campground retreat just 25 minutes outside the city of Nashville. With its open space and tall trees, it’s a private getaway still close to the action. The easy access and gravel roads give way to covered camping spots and quiet slips. The property also serves as a working homestead in its early years of development. On any given day you may be accompanied on your walks by our farm dogs or a chicken or two. Here you’ll find peace. It’s our goal that you leave revived and refreshed after hiding away for a few days on the homestead.
