OUR NEW CABIN IS OPEN MAY 24, 2026!!!! Located on one acre of our 10 acre hobby farm, which includes 2 peacocks, chickens(only 1 rooster now, so it's much quieter!) AKC registered Show Collies, cats and a goat named Pickles. While we are still working on the outside, the interior is ready to give our guests very unique getaway. Our tent was fun, but a cabin was always the dream, and we are very excited to have our first cabin guests! A spacious 16 x 18 cabin built on the rocks for a very unique, relaxing, peaceful and comfortable off the grid experience. Situated on one acre of our property, you will be provided with queen size bed, comfortable daybed, reading space, game area and a coffee station. Plenty of battery candles and lighting, with a large Yeti battery for charging or electric needs. We also provide water for drinking and washing up. We have a cedar outhouse with composting toilet, no showers, as the cabin is completely off the grid. Firepit with plenty of seating to hang around in the evenings, pretty wooded views from the cabin to wake up to in the mornings. The cabin will accommodate 4 adults, and we do allow you to bring your own tent if you choose to do so, as we allow up to 6 campers per night.
REI BRAND tents for rent for an additional fee. We provide plates, utensils, cups, and some pans for cooking, and there is a gas grill provided. You will find a coffee maker with supplies for coffee, hot chocolate and tea. Lots of solar powered lights and string lights around the trees for a wonderful ambience in the evenings.
Our extras include firewood at $10/night, as well as homemade cookies, breads, fresh eggs, muffins, and even cupcakes or cakes can be ordered if you are celebrating a special day. Quarter Spring Farm is located in Liberty, TN on the western edge of the Cumberland Plateau. It comprises 63 acres of wooded ridges and hollows with exceptional hiking and distinct landscape features. Smith Fork Creek, which feeds Center Hill Lake, is visible from the campsite. Quarter Spring Farm’s history is murky and still being discovered. The house is over 100 years old. There are stone property walls that may predate the civil war. We believe this site was a Mississippian period settlement because of the large amount of artifacts we have found.
Please note: there is no electricity at the dome. There will be a battery with a light and the option to charge your phone. There is no parking at the dome. The walk is uphill and takes about 5 minutes or so. This is still a tent, the dome is not insulated and is not 100% sealed. Bugs do get inside from time to time. I will also provide you with water for cleaning and at least a gallon to drink. Just let me know if you need more. If you can get here before it gets dark, that is the best. If you can’t, that’s ok, we’ll just be hiking in the dark. Luckily I know my way around pretty good.

My kids and I had the best time at the GeoDome! A much needed break from the city. We played games all night. But first enjoyed our hiked in dinner on the patio with the sunset. The rainstorm sounded lovely as it put us to sleep. Accommodations were comfortable. And the visits from the goats were a delight. We look forward to coming back in the fall. Hopefully to make use of the wood burning stove.

Weekend Trip to Quarter Spring Farm
We cannot possibly recommend thunder dome any more enthusiastically! Our weekend was so relaxing. Heather greeted us upon arrival and helped us get everything to the dome. The dome itself is perfectly cozy and quaint. Wood stove was so nice and warm on a chilly spring night, and the bed was comfy. This is THE definition of glamping. And the property is gorgeous with several trails into the woods. Last but not least, their goats are absolutely adorable, and one even bonded with us and followed us back to the dome. Absolutely perfect place for a weekend getaway in nature!

This place is exactly what I needed to recharge in nature. I stayed there to take a break from the high-stress period of life I am going through. It was the best decision I made. The land is so beautiful. Staying at and around the hut for 24 hours was like being hugged the whole time. There is a beautiful trail around the land that was stunning, the view of the hills was great, and seeing signs of spring was so joyful.
I had beautiful conversations with William. He showed me around his art gallery and all the beautiful pieces he has made. It was truly inspirational to see how living a simple life is so rewarding and motivated me to continue pursing living a simple life that’s in tune with nature.
No matter how much I will describe my stay, one needs to experience this land and camp for themselves to see the beauty, magic, and whimsy it has to offer.

I had a great time with my 4 year old son! Upon arriving we hiked up to see what gear was available, before bringing up any of our own , and I left about 80% of what I brought along in my vehicle (I tend to overpack). All I needed was our bag with a change of clothes and our small cooler with milk and eggs to make pancakes. With water, blankets, and all cooking essentials provided, you could almost walk up with nothing but yourself and whatever food you’d like to cook (there is ramen, pancake mix, syrup, tea, and a few other things up there left behind by previous guests. (Bring paper plates to use for food but also kindling for the fire)
I loved using the wood stove, it makes you feel like you’re living in another time; and it’s just one more aspect of getting away from any semblance of city life. The temp outside at night was about 40 degrees. I had filled up the wood stove one last time around 8pm and it was almost too hot in the loft, but by 4am I was cold. I had to make another fire so we could get another couple hours of sleep.
If you have dog allergies, this isn’t the place for you as rocket and Beue (two amazing hound like dogs) will be your guide, but they will also expect payment via sausages.
Finally, a great host named William! He was friendly and made sure we had all we needed. On the morning of our last day he even took my boy on a four wheeler ride around the property and I think it unlocked a core memory.
