I recently acquired this property that has been in my family for over 100 years and my original home place until around 1980. My wife and I initially made this site for our own RV use, but we want to share it for others to enjoy and also to help finance our constant improvements. The original house that I grew up in is still located on the property but is currently uninhabitable (for now). My fondest memories of the property are of playing and catching crawdads in the creek that located on the property when I was a kid and riding horses and flying kites in the fields. I am working hard to restore this property to the way I remember it and trying to make it enjoyable for those that come to visit. A majority of the property is still being used as a hay field during the summer months and two to three times a year the hay is usually harvested.

Off the grid, out of the way, rustic 10 acres where you can pitch a tent, take a hike and enjoy a campfire. Mostly wooded with nearby sites to explore, a few swings for fun (swings have recently been removed due to trees falling) and a fantastically cold SEASONAL mountain creek for cooling off.
Always improving our place, we recently removed the 'cabins', which had become unsuitable for use.
The property is part of a community, which you may notice on the way to the campsite. Site 1 (The Swings) will be first left after you turn into the driveway. It is a U shaped drive, at the bottom of the U, park and walk 15 feet to site. Site 2 (Main Container) is at the end of main driveway, next to container. Drive to end of driveway, park and walk 10 feet to camp. Both are equidistant to the outhouse. There is a trail (tagged with red) that goes all the way around the property, a top half and a bottom half that will take you by the creek. Please look through all of the listing information.
The SEASONAL creek at the bottom of the slope is wonderful and there is a spot for two adults to sit down into the crisp water and plenty of room for lots of feet. If you follow the path in the middle of the property, a 30 minute walk (therefore not on our property) will take you to a beautiful swimming hole. It's cold! There is no power or running water at the property so it's an ideal place to get away from daily life and truly relax. We hope you will enjoy it as much as our family does!
Please note that even though some pictures show buildings, there are no longer cabins/shelter on The Land. We are unable to remove pictures Hipcampers post. It is raw 10 acres so, yes there are ticks. Cover up and spray as you see fit, just be aware. Also, since it is 10 acres of trees, there is plenty of firewood. We don't leave any bundles, just find down limbs and presto, firewood. DO NOT USE THE MAP LISTED OR GOOGLE MAPS; it will take you straight through water. We send detailed directions to you once the day before your booking. Please plan to travel in with daylight, it is incredibly difficult to navigate to our space in the dark. We are conveniently located close to East Ridge, Ringgold, and Fort Oglethorpe, with downtown Chattanooga only 25 minutes away.
NOTE: Driveway access is paved and curving on an incline. It is a little steeper near the end as pictured. It’s 12 feet wide and a little wider around the curves for extra room. We have pulled trailers and a 20 foot uhaul up through there with no issue. 5th wheel campers may have difficulty not having enough width for turns.
NOTE: Our two dogs are free range when they are let out of the main house. This is why we aren’t pet friendly for bookings. They are quiet and harmless, but if you are averse to animals around be aware.

Off the grid, out of the way, rustic 10 acres where you can pitch a tent, take a hike and enjoy a campfire. Mostly wooded with nearby sites to explore, a few swings for fun (swings have recently been removed due to trees falling) and a fantastically cold SEASONAL mountain creek for cooling off.
Always improving our place, we recently removed the 'cabins', which had become unsuitable for use.
The property is part of a community, which you may notice on the way to the campsite. Site 1 (The Swings) will be first left after you turn into the driveway. It is a U shaped drive, at the bottom of the U, park and walk 15 feet to site. Site 2 (Main Container) is at the end of main driveway, next to container. Drive to end of driveway, park and walk 10 feet to camp. Both are equidistant to the outhouse. There is a trail (tagged with red) that goes all the way around the property, a top half and a bottom half that will take you by the creek. Please look through all of the listing information.
The SEASONAL creek at the bottom of the slope is wonderful and there is a spot for two adults to sit down into the crisp water and plenty of room for lots of feet. If you follow the path in the middle of the property, a 30 minute walk (therefore not on our property) will take you to a beautiful swimming hole. It's cold! There is no power or running water at the property so it's an ideal place to get away from daily life and truly relax. We hope you will enjoy it as much as our family does!
Please note that even though some pictures show buildings, there are no longer cabins/shelter on The Land. We are unable to remove pictures Hipcampers post. It is raw 10 acres so, yes there are ticks. Cover up and spray as you see fit, just be aware. Also, since it is 10 acres of trees, there is plenty of firewood. We don't leave any bundles, just find down limbs and presto, firewood. DO NOT USE THE MAP LISTED OR GOOGLE MAPS; it will take you straight through water. We send detailed directions to you once the day before your booking. Please plan to travel in with daylight, it is incredibly difficult to navigate to our space in the dark. I had a great time tent camping on Billy’s land. There were plenty of camping sites to choose from. This was a beautiful campground and well maintained and had really nice fire pits made from stone to use. Only thing of note is I would recommend a vehicle with clearance for the trail to the campsites. We made it, but it was rough in a sedan. Others with a low car might have issues.

Five stars! If you're looking for a peaceful and secluded getaway, this is the perfect spot. The setting is absolutely beautiful, highlighted by a gorgeous, serene lake that made the trip so relaxing.
We were thoroughly impressed with the accommodations. The cabin was spotless, and the shower area was just as clean and well-maintained. On top of that, the entire facility is incredibly well-equipped, making the stay easy and comfortable. You get the beauty of nature without sacrificing any comfort. We can't wait to come back!

This site is a slice of heaven with the beautiful pastures, huge trees and quiet country setting! We took our reactive dogs, but the cows kept their distance so we didn’t have any issues! There was also enough service to FaceTime in for a family party we were missing! Julie was accommodating letting us hook up to their shed as a back up source of power. Highly recommend staying here!!

The drive up to the Campground was fine in our 20' trailer.

I love how we can just pull into our spot with hookup being easy. Most places you have to back into them. This was easy peasy and a friendly place. Great location, super convenient to all the major sites in Chattanooga. The gem panning right next to the campground was a huge hit for the kids. The staff were super welcoming and friendly. Beautiful area, nice picnic tables/fire rings on each campsite and private outdoor shower is a nice touch. Also having the barn incase of weather is nice. I will say theres no cell service up there for At&t which was nice. I do want to make mention there were some kind of kenneled dogs off in the distance barking randomly and is pretty loud, wasn't a big deal, just wanted to mention. VERY peaceful and beautiful.

Janna was the perfect host! My grandson loved camping near all the animals, and was thrilled to be invited to bottle-feed the Highland calf! He met donkeys, goats, cows, mini horses, bunnies, and chickens, and loved having the farm dogs follow him around. The site was perfect, although unlevel (bring lots of leveling blocks), with 30 amp electric, water, and sewer. A fire pit and picnic table completed the beautiful site under the magnolia tree. We can't wait to go back again, and highly recommend this farm campground!

Was a great remote spot to chill and wind down after some long days in chatanooga only complaint is some of the paths are quite rough I have a 2wd truck and I made it just fine no problems but would not advise for small cars a buddy of mine who drives a Subaru outback recommended the spot to me and he also was able to make it just fine.
