The Redwater Revival Campground joined Hipcamp and was open during the 2020 summer season. Herb met and accommodated many wonderful guests and had a blast doing it.
The red bluff in the background was a very strategic vantage point for early Indigenous Americans for hunting game that roamed the creek bottom.
The rest of this exciting story will have to be heard when you get here.
The Redwater Creek is full of Brown and Rainbow trout. They are sneaky little buggers that can actually hear your footsteps when you are fishing along the bank.

Camping here was a breeze. Beautiful shaded area to setup tent, quick 2-3min walk across grass to bathrooms/showers and laundry facilities. Quiet even though near a “main” road, we were almost the only ones, with only one other camper nearby but we didn’t hear each other. Would stay again if passing by!

We absolutely loved our time here a perfect little hidden oasis, but not far from town either. We missed the turn initially, and ended up going up the road quite a bit, which was pretty rough, so just keep your eyes out for it and use the gps pin. We can’t wait to come back!

What a wonderful stay. When my dog companion and I pulled off the main road into Daniel's property, we were immediately excited by the vast forest in front of us. We had loads of space to explore, views to take in, and plenty of spots for our camp. We were the only ones on this part of the mountain, and we LOVED the solitude! I hope to return again. Thanks Daniel, for sharing this wonderful piece of land in a magical part of our country!

We loved camping in our Airstream at June's. The large concrete pad, pavillion, 50amp power on either side of the pad, and a fresh water spigot were key for us to enjoy the indoor/outdoor experience. We were there over July 4th (250 birthday of America) and it was very quiet and peaceful! We did need our A/C and you do need to plan for the Black tank management.

We were in desperate need of an escape into nature and this place couldn’t have been a better decision! My one heads up: trust the reviews that say low clearance cars won’t make it! I ignored the warnings and decided to take my Honda Fit up; we shockingly made it but would have gotten stuck with any rain so we did have to cut our trip short, to no fault of the hosts. Calvin and Kat were super communicative and the directions to the site were easy to follow. We will absolutely be back when we have a car that can handle the road!

An amazing rural setting with wide-open spaces and hardly a soul around. Herb is a great, generous, and communicative host, and we were made to feel welcome. Sites 1–3 had some nice shade trees, but #4 was set off by itself alongside the creek, and had a nice level spot to park our campervan. Access to I-90 is quick and easy, and Spearfish is only about 15 minutes away. I’d definitely go back next time I’m up that way.
