Great views! Went as a solo female camper and overall felt safe. The host was really nice and occasionally would see the neighbors on the other side of the waterfall.
They provided firestarters, hatchet, sticks and other useful things I didn't expect. I saw a beaver wandering around a couple of times. Would visit again!

We recently stayed at this beautiful Hipcamp site with three families (kids ages 4 to 10), and it was an incredible experience for everyone! The location is stunning—nestled right along a river with large, flat rocks that are perfect for wading, exploring, or just lounging by the water. The waterfall is amazing!!!
There’s a great mix of shade and sun, and the sand made a perfect spot for the kids to play. We loved the setup for cooking and hanging out—it felt like a little beach picnic right in the woods.
The kids especially loved visiting and feeding the goats and chickens. It was such a unique and memorable part of the trip! The animals were friendly, and the host was kind enough to let the children interact with them up close, which made it feel like a mini farm adventure.
This site had everything we needed: plenty of space for tents, nearby nature to explore, and a clean porta john to use. Everyone—kids and adults alike—left with smiles and great memories. We’ll definitely be back!

Super amazing and just peaceful. Exactly what my family needed.
There is a family living near by, and they own a little section of the sand bar so you have to stay to the one side. We still had a blast and you stl have access to the waterfall, but they were down there the majority of the time we were there so less “private” yet still peaceful.
P.s the big rock the cliff towards the water think the lion king had 6 water occasions curled up in the crack (easily visible!) so be very vigiliant and scout the area before letting children go off.

We booked sites 4 & 5 for Easter weekend for our family of 4 and my parents. The property has so much natural beauty, and breath taking views no matter where you stand! Both river accesses offer different experiences for us and the kiddos! The bathhouse is so well maintained! Jud the owner came by every day to check on us making us feel right at home! I wouldn’t pass this gem up!!

1 night at Private Oasis In The Forest
We loved it! Amazing spot for our dog to roam, lovely but short trail around the lake, a little row boat we didn't use but would have been a fun little adventure - we set our tent up inside because the windows are wide open so just to keep bugs off us though we didn't notice many the night we were there - great experience especially for the price!
We were tenting and it was calling for a thunderstorm and we couldn't have asked for a better spot to watch watch the rain come down and listen to it on the tin roof!

We loved camping here! Very quiet, private, well spaced campground. The owners messaged us morning of our trip to let us know our site was vacant the night before and we could arrive early. Definitely follow the directions provided and you won’t have an issue. There are multiple river access points which is very nice. The owner stopped by to tell us about watching the sunset from the ridge (on the property) and this quickly became the highlight of our trip. Gorgeous views and nice, clean campground!

Scott had fast response time. He was very nice! Feeding the chickens and goats was such a nice little addition! I have a 9,4,3,2 year old and let me tell you they had a blast. This was our first time camping and they were so good. We initially were just gonna spend one night but since they were so good we decided to stay another night. Luckily the night after wasn’t booked because he was booked up for the rest of that month. Our car also died because I was charging my phone and Scott quickly came to help us out! 10/10 stay

It was such an amazing first time experience. The views are breathtaking!!! I love the gravel trail down to the river it was so peaceful and easy to get to, I just know in the summer the river would be so good to get in . I also love that this location has a trailer with two bathrooms and a shower which by the way are super clean !!! I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back in the future. Thanks to jud for driving Erick around the area to see what more it had to offer. You definitely won’t regret booking here !!

This campground was excellent! Beautiful mountain views, a river to walk to, and spectacular sunsets.
Each site offers full hookups and a fire pit. There is a nice and clean bath house and wood already chopped.
The owner stopped by to bring us the cutest gift of fire starters with a picture his kids had drawn. We thought it was such a nice, personal touch and we love supporting family businesses.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and the dogs loved it as well!
We will definitely be back!
