Here, you can enjoy an “off-the-grid” experience without giving up convenience: food delivery is still just a tap away, and last-minute essentials are an easy drive.
At Camp Moondog, our philosophy is simple: provide a carefree, clean, and natural environment for a relaxing camping experience. If we’re available, we’re happy to use our ATVs to help transport your gear to any of the campsites—just give us at least a day’s notice so we can plan to meet you.
Because the property naturally offers ample deadfall for firewood, we do not provide or sell pre-packaged bundles. Please keep this in mind if there has been recent rainfall, as the downed wood may be damp.

We are on 3 acres at the base of Paris mountain, only 2 miles outside Travelers Rest, but it feels like you're in the middle of no where. 15 minutes to Greenville, 6 miles to Furman University, and right on one of the main bicycling roads. We have an on site private workout studio with plenty of equipment, including bike trainers (in case it's raining). There are lots of chickens on site so you can have free range eggs.

Fishing and Tent Camping on a beautiful privately owned naturally spring feed 2.5 Acre pond. Pond fully stocked with Catfish, Yellow Carp, Buffalo Carp, Bass, and Brim. We do allow eating size catfish under 5lbs to be taken from lake. Large catfish and all other types of fish are catch and release only. No fishing license required. Typically caught fish weigh in at 20lbs plus. Some catfish as large as 80lbs. Enjoy peacefully fishing all night with your friends and family on a lighted fully stocked pond. Each campsite has its own fire pit so you are welcome to bring firewood and enjoy cooking out or having smores by the fire.

Learn more about this land:One can expect a wonderful wilderness experience at Earthganic Farm’s riverside camping. The path down to the sites is drivable in a truck, SUV, or van. There’s always the option to park up at the house and walk down (it’s a ten minute walk from the house to the river) and if you let us know ahead of time, we can bring your camping stuff down for you. We have two single kayaks that we rent for $15/day and you can put them in right on property and kayak up and down the river. There is not evening shade in July and August, However, there are shady spots very close to the camp site that you can enjoy. Where your camper sits the Sun goes down at the front of the camper. It is typically not an issue until mid-July and August. If you need additional details, please contact me.
There are two homes near the camp site. The one behind the site is our home. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway. They chose not to stay, and I refunded them. It is very safe here and secluded from the main road. Look at all of the pictures to make sure this is the spot for you. Thanks

Loved our stay at the Bend. It was very quiet & private. No issue with noise or disturbance (even on a Saturday evening). Our hosts were extremely quick and responsive and wanted to ensure our stay went well (which it did). Fun to be camping on the river, but still just a few minutes to downtown Greenville. This was an excellent spot. It was very private since it was the only spot and secluded. The host was excellent. Bring you own utilities but it did It have a good clean pit toilet. There were plenty of tables and a large fire pit with a good view. I would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to 3 Creeks Camp and Nature Preserve
Damon was a nice host that offered assistance when needed. I stayed in the Creek Campsite and it was a joy! The property is beautiful and he has a web that was nice to sit on and look at the stars. Easy to navigate in and out of the site (even with a little sedan). Only stayed for one night, but it just so happened to be a night full of music and a light show.

Second time staying at Camp Site #2. It’s become our favorite place to be with our family of 4. We love the privacy of the site, the level space for our large tent, the river that’s a perfect mix of stones and sand, and the closeness of having the bathroom/shower building. It fits the bill for our family! Craig is always so responsive so that adds peace of mind should anything come up. We always use a sound machine to sleep so if there was any road noise, we aren’t bothered at all. Can’t wait to go back again!

We booked the hillside campsite at the last minute as we were driving south and were so impressed with the property! It was quiet, secluded and perfect for our overland rig. There was even a clean and well built pit toilet close by. We explored all the other campsites by he river and were blown away! John has created the perfect family spot and thought of everything! Aleah and Mark were friendly, kind, and made our hipcamp experience even better. Aleah gave us great recommendations for both Greenville and Travelers Rest. The site was secluded and clean. It had a fire place, and was a 2-3min walk from where our car was parked. The canopy of trees around our visit was beautiful, the creek was nice- we found tiny fish and frogs. We initially booked 1 night and decided to stay another.

The camp was large and very private. The tent site had room for a large tent. The outhouse was clean and very usable. There is. access to the trails directly from the camp. The surrounding background noise is very low, but if you are sensitive, a battery operated fan would probably cover the sound.(I always wonder about the noise level).
This is one of the best campsites ever.

Directions to the site were clear. I had a nice time solo camping. John was very friendly and delivered firewood right to the pit. The site was big and well kept. You cant get in the water from the Riverbank site, but there are a couple of boat ramps that you can use. I was the only one out camping so it was extra quiet and peaceful. On my last morning I discovered my truck battery was dead. Luckily I caught John in time before he left for work and he gave me a jump. Nice guy. I will be back.

This camp site was fantastic! It’s a little bit of a hike back into the woods, but not terribly far. They provided a wheelbarrow for us to cart our stuff back and we had three large tents and a galley kitchen all set up in no time. The creek is so peaceful. The fire pit is great. Even though it’s accessed through a neighborhood, we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. Incredibly peaceful. 10 out of 10 would camp again!
