2 nights at Pisgah Forest Glampin' School Bus

This schoolie was way more comfortable than i could have expected. There were 2 options of showers, we preferred the outside. There was an incinerator toilet that was easy to use and well explained. The bed is a dream and we slept so well. Mini kitchen with oven and stove top. There was a fire pit and picnic table to eat on. Close to many state parks and gorgeous hikes My favorite part was waking up to their sweet collie outside the door. I always miss my dog when traveling and he was a sweetheart. We will definitely be staying here again

Weekend Trip to Trails & Tails Waterfalls Retreat

Beth and Rob are wonderful! There property is secluded and the camp site was very clean and private. The outdoor shower was awesome and it was easily accessible. Beth and Rob greeted us upon arrival. Made recommendations for our biking adventures in Dupont and places to eat and visit in Brevard. We plan to visit again next month but I highly recommend for families, couples and mountain bikers

Weekend Trip to Field Trip Glamping Travelers Rest

While we didn’t get to stay in the dome due to a booking challenge, the host placed us in a super cute A-frame. The grounds were clean and inviting. The over the fire pit rack was perfect for some wood grilled burgers!! The hot tub/sauna/cold plunge was spectacular. There was always a wave to be had by the staff as they drove by. Future glamours should know that the in unit “coffee maker” is a French press, which in a unit with electricity, was a little disappointing, since the trek to get boiling water was at a coffee vending station. Otherwise, it served the purpose well for a beautiful outdoor getaway.

We had an amazing time and will definitely be coming back!! gorgeous location that feels very secluded and safe. Only about 15 minutes from travelers rest! Overall a great trip and I can’t wait for next time!

3 nights at Trails & Tails Waterfalls Retreat

Beth and Rob were very friendly and helpful. The site was level and well maintained. There is an old greenhouse that is now space to eat, hang out, or use Wi-Fi, although the signal was actually pretty good at the actual campsite. Very convenient location that is both quite and woodsy, yet convient to trails, restaurants and shopping.

Beth and Rob are incredible hosts and delightful people. We so look forward to our visits to Trails & Tails. As avid camping cyclists with a dog, they have become our base camp for Pisga and Dupont forests. Always full of advice and suggestions. Their site is primitive but impeccably kept with a well maintained porta potty and delightful hot outdoor shower. We love hanging out and playing games in the green house after a long day on the trails or river. Can’t wait to book the next adventure. Susan, Chris, kids and Rey.

The hosts were accommodating pre-trip when I had to change my booking. When I arrived, check in was easy, Mark provided maps and information on the camp and nearby attractions. Camp was well maintained, bathrooms were clean, hot showers! Great Campground!

Another great trip to the Creekhouse! This is our kids favorite place and they talked about it nonstop since our first visit, so we had to return. We can’t wait to come back again soon, Damon is a great host. This place is magical. So glad we discovered it through hipcamp

Weekend Trip to Emberglow Outdoor Resort

We had a great experience at Emberglow. Their staff was friendly and helpful, the campground had a ton of amenities, was perfect for our young family and is very well taken care of. We plan to return soon!

3 nights at Field Trip Glamping Travelers Rest

The place is thoughtfully laid out. Love the multiple housing options. We stayed in the yurt, decorated with intention. The lights at night in the trees made the evening feel warm and inviting. Bathrooms were clean. When entering the address in the gps be sure to put in the city Travelers Rest, address defaults to Greenville which is a residential area. Great stay, definitely want to try out another house perhaps the A frame house. :)

Weekend Trip to Trails & Tails Waterfalls Retreat

This was my first camping trip on HipCamp, and I couldn’t have picked a more perfect place to bring my elementary-aged son and dog! The property is gorgeous and the SportGo was clean and super spacious. My son loved looking out the tent windows each morning and playing in the creek. Beth & Rob were so kind and anticipated my questions before I had them. As a single mom, camping is not always for the faint of heart but at Trails & Tails it felt like a true getaway. Brevard and DuPont were easily accessible and we had a blast hiking, playing at the foot of High Falls, and exploring Brevard.

3 nights at 3 Creeks Camp and Nature Preserve

This was such a delightful place to stay, and we're already making plans to come back. The Creekhouse is the perfect blend of roughing it with access to basic amenities. My kids enjoyed playing in the creek and exploring the property, and I appreciated the quiet freedom to let them roam. Damon is a wonderful host, friendly and very responsive. When the temperature dropped suddenly, he made sure we had heaters and warm blankets for sleeping, and we stayed cozy. My favorite part was falling asleep to the sound of the creek directly below us.

Great place to camp. Super cool place super pretty inside! Everything was tidy and clean upon arrival and host was super nice making sure we had good kindling and wood for our fire! Our girl is one incredible aluminum land yacht that we've christened "Silvia" after a hit song of '72 - Silvia's Mother" by Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show, and because, well, she's silver. She's been well cared for over the past 50+ years, and only the things that really matter have been updated - bathroom, larger instant water heater, new AC, microwave, fridge, Keurig coffeemaker, memory foam mattresses with latex toppers, dedicated WiFi, surge-protected USB outlets – but as far as everything else, from the '70s vintage cookware, utensils, linens, books, games, puzzles, and many '70s music CDs to discover, you'll really dig her vibe. GUEST ACCESS Guests have a gated private double entrance/exit driveway. The entire guest area is fenced/gated, guests have access to the lower property where the ponies are, seating on the bridge for a. m. coffee or p. m. libation. Beware though - the ponies may come begging for a sip. If you do enter the lower property to hang out with the ponies or check out our mini farm, PLEASE REMEMBER TO 1) close the gate behind you, 2) make sure the kids and pets are always under your direct supervision. HOST INTERACTION WITH GUESTS We live in the house on the property, but unless you need us for something you won’t see us at all, and we won't disrupt your stay. Other things to note Note from a Guest: Great property for family, couple, or small group This unique farmhouse style home is a great choice for travelers and an excellent venue for gatherings by local residents. It has easy access but the property has abundant trees and is secluded from nearby roads and homes for privacy. The interior, baths, and kitchen are updated but maintain a pleasant farmhouse feel. The host had it perfectly clean and well stocked. It has a bonfire pit and a smaller fire pit for outside gatherings and the hot tub was immaculately clean, heated, and ready for use when we arrived. Kids can enjoy swings and slides. We used it for a small gathering where about a dozen guests gathered during the day and six spent the night. Could not have been happier with property or hosts. Fireworks are legal and permitted within reasonable hours. Horses are welcome.

Campers can enjoy the best of lake livin' with a stay at our waterfront campground. With over 40+ RV sites, including full hook-up and partial hook-up sites, and access to free wi-fi, fire pits and picnic tables there are so many ways to camp *your way*. Our campground also features a Tiny Cabin Village with 6 new cabins. Each cabin accommodates between 4-6 guests and includes kitchen/dining areas, bedrooms and/or lofts, full bathrooms, and a porch so you can enjoy a family vacation or an escape with friends. In addition, our property boasts a variety of top-notch amenities that are available to our guests. Spend a day on the water with our selection of watercraft rentals, which includes pontoon boats, kayaks, paddle boards and hyrdobikes. Rentals come equipped with all necessary safety gear and are available to rent for the full day or a half day, so you and your crew can explore the lake at your leisure. Visitors can also enjoy some family-friendly fun at Splash Island, our newest recreation area with access to the Wibit inflatable obstacle course as well as lounge areas set on our sandy waterfront beaches. Big Water Marina & Campground provides campers with a lakeside getaway + gorgeous views and full access to our ship store, boat ramps and docks during each stay.
