The cozy A-frame cabin sits beside the creek and offer tons of charm. Three rustic, historic cabins have been thoughtfully restored to preserve their old charm while adding modern comforts. Each cabin features either a roll-down cover or glass doors that open you to the outdoors, plus the amenities that make camping easy. We also offer two tent sites and a lovely bathhouse with two private rooms (each with sink, shower, and toilet), plus an outdoor shower in the warmer months.

I first saw this property in 2009 and fell in love with it.
The property is gorgeous and the land has a magical feel.
Situated in the foothills of the Blueridge Mountains we are in horse and wine county!
The area is also part of the isothermal belt so the weather is always better than the rest of the South or the Mountains.
The land is about 1/2 pastures and the remainder are beautiful forests with trails, creeks and even our own waterfall.
The animals and equines living here make the place even more special.

We are just over 20 minutes to Saluda with awesome kayaking and tubing on the Green River, hiking, biking and ziplining too.

2 nights at Cold Spring Basecamp
I was looking for a place to disconnect and do a little writing and couple of days at Bill's Cabin did the trick. If you don't mind limited electricity and cell service as well as fetching your water from a spring, this rustic cabin is the perfect place to escape and enjoy some downtime. Hartwell was extremely accommodating and with a good sleeping bag, it was plenty warm in late November. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed the quaintness of Bill‘s cabin. It was really neat having the open air feature because we could sit on the bench between the bunks and watch the fire and relax from inside the cabin. Very peaceful and relaxing space where you can enjoy nature, and still have the luxury of an actual bed and cabin instead of roughing it in a tent. We went with our three young boys just for a night and it was perfect. They woke up excited to explore the property and the cold plunge was really neat too. We will definitely be back again, and probably will bring friends next time too. It was a great experience!

We were so pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our stay in the Teela Springs Cabin. We have previously tent camped and this was so much fun easier and less stressful.
Great amenities provided- cooking utensils , propane, charging port, and solar lights were so helpful and added to the cozy atmosphere.
We will def return and hope to try out a few more spots!

Wow what a lovely camping experience! The cabin itself is outfitted with great mattresses, which means we all rested well after a day in the woods in Western NC. The camp kitchen has everything you need. The site is very private, and it really felt like the best parts of camping along with the privacy of backpacking.

Fabulous place that's easy to get to. Marshall has thought of everything. We camped with 3 generations using the bunks in Bill's Cabin, tents, and a teardrop. It was clutch to have to cabin for shelter to play, cook and hang out sorting some rain storms. We will be back.

Our family loved everything about Bills Cabin! The primitive adventure of the open air but the comfort of their camp mattresses was the perfect mix. The kids enjoyed heating up by the wood stove and cooking over the open fire. Gathering our drinking water from the creek was also a very cool experience. In the morning before check out we were able to explore some of the trails and my husband and I both attempted the cold plunge. We’ve already talked about coming back and can’t wait to check out the tree house for the views.
