1 night at Peace Of Pisgah

I loved glamping on Vicki's property. We booked site #2. It was very secluded and had a creek running by it. Vicki was amazing and showed us around her beautiful property! It was so nice that the tent had an additional covering so we could stay dry in the rain. The site had cots, sleeping bags, and even earplugs for sleeping. It was conveniently located 10 minutes from Brevard and close to so many beautiful hiking trails. Vicki sent us some of her recommendations! I will definitely come back here!

Weekend Trip to Trails & Tails Waterfalls Retreat

Beth and Rob are wonderful! There property is secluded and the camp site was very clean and private. The outdoor shower was awesome and it was easily accessible. Beth and Rob greeted us upon arrival. Made recommendations for our biking adventures in Dupont and places to eat and visit in Brevard. We plan to visit again next month but I highly recommend for families, couples and mountain bikers

Weekend Trip to Field Trip Glamping Travelers Rest

While we didn’t get to stay in the dome due to a booking challenge, the host placed us in a super cute A-frame. The grounds were clean and inviting. The over the fire pit rack was perfect for some wood grilled burgers!! The hot tub/sauna/cold plunge was spectacular. There was always a wave to be had by the staff as they drove by. Future glamours should know that the in unit “coffee maker” is a French press, which in a unit with electricity, was a little disappointing, since the trek to get boiling water was at a coffee vending station. Otherwise, it served the purpose well for a beautiful outdoor getaway.

Beth and Rob were very friendly and helpful. The site was level and well maintained. There is an old greenhouse that is now space to eat, hang out, or use Wi-Fi, although the signal was actually pretty good at the actual campsite. Very convenient location that is both quite and woodsy, yet convient to trails, restaurants and shopping.

2 nights at Singletrack Shack

Great private and quiet relaxing spot in the foothills of the mountains. Was so nice having a hard roof vs my normal tent set up especially during the rainy seasons. I will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Trails & Tails Waterfalls Retreat

Beth and Rob are incredible hosts and delightful people. We so look forward to our visits to Trails & Tails. As avid camping cyclists with a dog, they have become our base camp for Pisga and Dupont forests. Always full of advice and suggestions. Their site is primitive but impeccably kept with a well maintained porta potty and delightful hot outdoor shower. We love hanging out and playing games in the green house after a long day on the trails or river. Can’t wait to book the next adventure. Susan, Chris, kids and Rey.

Weekend Trip to Ash Grove Cabins and Camping

The hosts were accommodating pre-trip when I had to change my booking. When I arrived, check in was easy, Mark provided maps and information on the camp and nearby attractions. Camp was well maintained, bathrooms were clean, hot showers! Great Campground!

Weekend Trip to Peace Of Pisgah

I just wrapped up a fun-filled weekend at Peace of Pisgah (Site 2). The location is great, minutes from the Pisgah Forest main entrance, as well as downtown Brevard. The layout with the sites is very accommodating and accessible, yet each site has plenty of privacy. The fact that the tent is just feet from a small flowing creek adds to the ambiance. Perhaps the most special thing about Peace of Pisgah are the owners. Vicki and her husband are genuinely nice people who went out of their way to ensure my visit was no less than stellar. The whole area, from the tent site to the shower and privy, are decorated with niceties from Vicki's artistic touch. Thanks for such a quiet and relaxing stay :)

We had a wonderful stay at the Teela Springs cabin! It was beautiful, peaceful, private and well-equipped with everything for a comfortable stay. It is a great space to disconnect and reset. Looking forward to staying here again soon!

Weekend Trip to Singletrack Shack

I needed a place to be alone that felt safe, was on a sizeable chunk of acreage so that I could take long solo walks, and had electricity. Christy’s place checked all the boxes. Three acres of trails! Very peaceful, and Christy and her husband were very close by, so I felt super safe. The cabin was very clean and stocked with lots of supplies. I am not a fan of outhouses, but this one was five-star! Really, the perfect glamping experience. Also: it is just about a 15-minute drive to DuPont forest, so on one of the days I drove there and hiked around. Gas station/ convenience store is less than 10 minutes away. But I felt like I was “away from it all.” Also: I got to find out what it’s like to sleep in a hammock, since there are hammock hooks on the walls. Highly recommend hammocking! And more than highly recommend this wonderful place! Can’t wait to return.

1 night at The Quack Shack

We had a wonderful stay at the Quack Shack. Lovely river views. Nick was a kind host and made sure we had everything we needed. The sleeping arrangements were comfy and the place was well maintained. Easy walk from your car to the spot. Weather at night was in the high 40s and we slept comfortably with doors closed, blankets, and warm clothes.

My wife and I stayed in the treehouse for a few days following our wedding. It was the perfect oasis providing us beauty, tranquility, and a unique experience only living in a tree can provide. Every detail was well thought out and much was provided for the treehouse stay, even similar to a hotel. We so loved our time here and look forward to more stays in the future!

The Quack Shack

Located on the grounds of the Duckpond Pottery, The Quack Shack is a secluded treehouse perched along the banks of the French Broad River. The structure is an 8x10 A-frame that transforms via a hinged wall into an open-air cabana with a charming deck that affords spectacular views of the French Broad River and surrounding countryside. The interior of the Quack Shack, with its vaulted 11-foot ceiling and earthen plaster walls, provides a warm glow in a rainforest environment. It is furnished with a comfortable seating area surrounding a coffee table that can be easily converted to a full-size queen bed at night. On the outside deck are beach chairs and a chimenea available for use. The quack shack has electric power (1 outlet only). Amenities include a bathroom located a short walk away at the main building as well as an open-air on-demand shower located off the bathroom on a deck overlooking the French Broad River. Morning coffee and tea is available at The Tea Hut located just a hop, skip, and jump from the treehouse. Enjoy the working wood burning stove, play a game, or read a book. Have a bonfire or soak in the large hot tub. This is an all electric home with the energy provided by 21 solar panels. Guest access There is a digital lock with an entry code. Other things to note Note from a Guest: Great property for family, couple, or small group This unique farmhouse style home is a great choice for travelers and an excellent venue for gatherings by local residents. It has easy access but the property has abundant trees and is secluded from nearby roads and homes for privacy. The interior, baths, and kitchen are updated but maintain a pleasant farmhouse feel. The host had it perfectly clean and well stocked. It has a bonfire pit and a smaller fire pit for outside gatherings and the hot tub was immaculately clean, heated, and ready for use when we arrived. Kids can enjoy swings and slides. We used it for a small gathering where about a dozen guests gathered during the day and six spent the night. Could not have been happier with property or hosts. Fireworks are legal and permitted within reasonable hours. Horses are welcome.
