Weekend Trip to Coweeta Creek Campground

Great place to camp. Tent or trailers etc this place would work great for either. We had rain when we were there but thankfully Melissa allowed us to move sites to one with a large car port covering which worked out great. Otherwise we would have been stuck in car/tent all night! Instead we were able to hang out outside under cover. Creek view and creek sound is awesome. Bathhouse clean. Definitely plan to come back.

1 night at Russell's Ranch RV Site

Really nice place, they even had extra plumbing and parts in case you needed something to hook up, what a great idea to have that there for people that might have broke or forgot something. I love hearing the pig in the morning when it was feeding time for him and also the roosters.

1 night at Christopher Ridge Farm

We only stayed one night but we loved every minute of it and so did our pup! I would definitely recommend this place if you want a peaceful place to park your RV with full hookups.

Weekend Trip to Harmony Glen

June has a wonderful spot to camp or park a small rv. As an FYI, I have a tall roof long wheelbase Sprinter, and I wouldn't suggest trying to fit anything any bigger down the driveway.

They were such a welcoming host family. Very kind and accommodating. The rv spot is perfect, easy to get in and out. The location is so close to parks, restaurants in Easley (which were great) and greenville is about 30 min away. We will definitely be back and can't recommend David's land enough.

1 night at Wildcat Outpost

Very cool, secluded camp spot in the forest. Communication and instructions from the host were great, would highly recommend. Even had a short visit from the big, fluffy white dog, was friendly, sniffed around for five minutes then mosied back to the house. If you’re in a 4Runner, truck or campervan make sure you have a way to level out your rig. Thanks!

Our stay at Coweeta was peaceful and relaxing! We loved being right on the creek and enjoying the sound of the water. Our trip was cut short for a family emergency but we can't wait to come back. Next time we hope to make it a family camping weekend!!

We loved our camping experience on John’s land. It was peaceful, beautiful. We had all the privacy and seclusion we wanted while at the same time, John was available if we needed anything. we camped on the hill top and at first were bummed that we couldn’t be at the Riverside, but once we got to our campsite, we loved it. We could still hear the river and had a beautiful view of the sunrise. would definitely stay again.

Although Helene and subsequent storms left their mark the family and I had a great experience camping right next to the stream with two tents, a nice campfire and comfy hammock tucked away in the brush.

EXCELLENT property. Quiet. The host, John, is friendly and accommodating. Directions are accurate. Property/sites are easy to get to. Both tent sites are directly on the river and spacious. Plenty of trees for shade. If you are looking to fish directly from your site- chose Tent/RV site or there are fishing opportunities further down the bank. I will be returning!

The site was scenic right by the river and we'll set for a couple of tents. Awesome views and quiet surroundings. No camp sites were directly adjacent so you won't feel like you're in a group camping environment (like state parks). Super easy to get to. Thanks and I look forward to visiting again.

Weekend Trip to Barnhill Mountain in Fletcher, NC

The campsite was spacious, peaceful and accommodating. We utilized the fire pit down by the shelter while we read books and enjoyed the breeze through the tree tops as the sun was setting over the beautiful mountains. Enough room for a tent and hammock up on the grassy area where we slept under the stars.

Weekend Trip to Broken Oak Riverside Getaway

I absolutely loved this spot!! It was perfect for trying what I thought was going to be my first solo camping trip but my best friend came with me. We felt safe being just 2 female campers. It was peaceful and it’s close to town if you forgot something. We got site number 2 and it had a nice size-able beach area. There were spots in the shade under some trees but we chose to set up on the beach with our 2-4 man tents so we could hear the water all night long. I saw in some reviews where people complained about the traffic on hwy 25. We did hear some of the noise but it wasn’t over bearing. It didn’t bother us. We slept peacefully and just loved being able to walk around while walking her dog. She did a little fishing. The water is perfect for kids to play and splash for those that have children. The beach is sandy on one side and had lots of river rocks on the other side. The cute little bathroom was newly build and we could still smell the fresh wood from it. It was very clean, WITH HOT WATER for showering, and a regular flushing toilet!! Those are a huge deals for primitive camping. There was a water faucet near the entrance to our campsite with drinkable water. Definitely an area I would feel safe going alone. There were other campsites available but they were not too close together so u will definitely have your privacy. We happened to be the only campers at the time! Craig and Sarah are amazing hosts, quick to respond. I got to take home some fresh farm eggs. 😍

Weekend Trip to Pisgah Riverbend

Patrick is a wondeful and accomdating host. Site 2 was beautifully shaded just as the picture shows. There was a good amount of rain before and during my stay. The recommendation for 4WD is a fair one. It set and met my expectation, and met that expectation. It's of course relative to your comfort level. I had my minivan and was ok. Thank you for sharing your space with us.

We had an awesome stay! Louedith was such a sweetheart, and was very accommodating when the booking site gave us issues. Clean and quiet area. Clean port-a-potty for the site. Water was available, as well as trash disposal. There was a deck at our site, and an adorable barn down the road with games inside, and the mountain views were excellent. Also allowed pets so that was a plus. Price was definitely nice as well. Would definitely stay again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This RV site is on our property where we first lived in a mobile home. We love camping and thought what a great place for a quite retreat. So we made the site into a full hook up RV camp site. Beautiful location with a view of Table Rock located in the Historic Oolenoy Valley. Our property is located in Northern Pickens Co. of South Carolina. Plenty of trails, boating, biking in the area or just sit under your awning and enjoy the wildlife. Important please read! There is not evening shade in July and August, However, there are shady spots very close to the camp site that you can enjoy. Where your camper sits the Sun goes down at the front of the camper. It is typically not an issue until mid-July and August. If you need additional details, please contact me. There are two homes near the camp site. The one behind the site is our home. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway. They chose not to stay, and I refunded them. It is very safe here and secluded from the main road. Look at all of the pictures to make sure this is the spot for you. Thanks Sincerely SteveG

Coweeta Creek Campground has water, electric, and septic on Sites 1, 2, and 3 as well as a firepit and picnic table. The bathhouse allows for hot showers and flushing toilets. Site 4 is for tents or small pop-ups. Each site is gravel, shaded, and sits along the peaceful Coweeta Creek. The campground property has a large field for games (kickball, soccer, volleyball), as well as a flat 1/4 mile loop which you can view our mini homestead farm. We have chickens, bees, vegetable gardens, and a small fruit orchard. We recently added a 1/2 mile trail, called Turkey Foot Trail, through the wooded area. The campground is somewhat secluded (some neighbors across the creek), but only 15 minutes from Franklin, NC and 15 minutes from Clayton, GA with plenty of shopping/restaurants. Once you are at the campground you won't want to leave the beauty of the creek! Strong Wifi is available at all sites. Network password will be provided before arrival. Property History: Coweeta Creek Campground WAS a 20 site, thriving, family/church oriented campground from the 1970's that was later sold, then neglected. This property is situated on 50 acres, surrounded by private property with views of the nearby Pisgah National Forest and a 10 minute drive to DuPont State Forest. Campsites are adjacent to the French Broad River. Excellent fishing and boating. It is heavily populated by deer and other wildlife. For this reason, dogs must be kept on a leash. Please note that due to the campground being in low-lying land, the drive in is subject to being slick and muddy, 4WD is always recommended. Message us with any questions. Due to the property proximity to the river and situated in floodway, the sites are subject to flooding during heavy rain events. Voluntary and/or mandatory evacuation may be necessary during any reservation due to high waters or forecast for high water events. If evacuation is necessary, unused portions of reservation will be refunded. Campers are advised to be self-sufficient with water and shower facilities. We do provide a port a potty and firewood is for sale on site (Venmo, PayPal or cash). IF YOU ARE CAMPING WITH A RV OR TRAILER, PLEASE CONTACT US TO DISCUSS A SITE. All sites can accommodate smaller RV camper units. However, larger RV's have limited site availability. Campsites are situated along the river edge. Embankments are steep and near deep water. Although not prohibited, constant supervision for children is a must to avoid serious injury due to natural hazards. My wife and I moved to the area, from Boone, in the spring of 2014. Our dream was to own a house, preferably a cabin, on top of a mountain with long range views and a gradual winding road to the top. Living in Boone, this dream was definitely out of reach. When we began our search for a new home in the Asheville area, we discovered that the more affordable homes were in fact on the mountains. Perfect! In general I always have a pretty positive outlook on what’s possible, however, I was skeptical that we would ever find our dream home. As Jeannie began her Zillow browsing adventures, one particular cabin with acreage, that was outside of our budget continued to pop up. Jeannie would delete it and then it would come back. At some point the price began to drop, and drop, and drop. On our way back into town one weekend after attending a wedding, I convinced Jeannie to drive by the cabin just because we had the time. Immediately we fell in love and reached out to our realtor buddy. It was more of a shot in the dark but it couldn’t hurt, right? We held our breath for the next month totally expecting someone to get it under contract before us or the sellers not accepting our offer. It had already been reduced significantly so we knew our chances of a lowball offer were slim. We offered the most that we could get a loan for. They accepted! I still get anxious thinking back to that month, October 2014. Many years and two children later, here we are, just as excited everyday to make the long trek up our mountain as we were that August of 2014, and now we are happy to offer a similar experience to you, without having to buy the place. Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent in the grass on the tip top of the mountain or park your camper in the flat gravel spot with a fire pit just below the top with beautiful views overlooking Cane Creek. What you will not find is light pollution, traffic, and a desire to leave the mountain. Fall asleep to the calls of the hoot owl and wake up to the knocking of the wood pecker. Turgua brewery just down on Cane Creek road is only 6.2 miles from camp. Cane Creek Valley Farm as well as the Cane Creek Community swimming pool is also at the base of camp just in case the kids need a dip of ice cream or a dip in the pool. Justus Apple Orchard is only 10 miles down the mountain towards Hendersonville. We love taking our kids there. We are only 15 miles from downtown Asheville & Hendersonville, and 22 miles from Lake Lure. You'll be staying on our farm, which is a working horseback riding and equine therapy facility as well as a sanctuary for many other animals (including mini cows, turkeys, chickens, a pig, alpacas, goats, and a llama!) But don't worry, your campsite is surrounded by beauty and privacy. Enjoy walking through the woods, sharing a picnic while visiting with the animals, or just having relaxing in nature! We also sell farm fresh eggs by the half-dozen for $2, so you can cook your own egg breakfast if you would like! Our campsites are rustic. We do provide a port-a-potty on site as well as 7 gallons of drinking-safe water. There is a King Camp portable shower on-site, and we live on site at the front of the property in case of emergency. Each campsite has a fire pit, and a bucket of water is provided for safety. There is a convenience store and gas station 1/2 mile away, so snacks and fuel can be easily accessed. If you're looking for extremely quiet, we may not be the right fit, as our animals don't keep quiet hours so you may hear a moo or a crow at any time, but we think it's fantastic here!
