We hunted, fished, made mud pies and played outside for hours, as long as we were in shouting distance for supper time! I am so fortunate to be the daughter of two amazing parents, who had a dream to build a working farm from nothing more than a logging trail in the woods. They built a 3 story, 10,000 square foot house by themselves- while raising a family! Wild turkey and deer roam free all over the farm, coveys of dove fly out from the pastures and trails, and coyotes howl in the night. Take a nature hike through the trails that meander through the woods around the park. Our newest venture is to offer primitive camping and some cabin rentals around our 60 acre Agripark!
For those wanting to step it up a notch, we have erected a large concrete floor, covered event barn (for parties, family reunions, weddings, cowboy church, etc..,) and also a huge petting zoo barn with an area behind it for pony rides and 4-h/FFA functions. Also, a greenhouse is being erected next, that will teach people about aquaponics and hydroponics! Many things are on the immediate horizon for this special property. While we are under heavy construction at the moment in some areas of the park, many amenities are currently available. Why not unplug from the daily grind and spend time with those that matter most? My goal is to make this land as magical for your family as it has been for mine!

The Santee State Park has many water activities, picnic areas, and hiking trails. There are several golf courses nearby, and a local restaurant/bar within walking distance which often offers trivia, karaoke, pool tables, and live music. Just be careful as you will be walking on the side of a main road as well as over train tracks.

It so peaceful out there. With the beautiful stars above you and the lights hanging on the oak tree. My boyfriend and I enjoyed swinging so much. We both felt like kids again. Even our husky enjoyed himself. We walked the trails . We even met Tom and he is an awesome guy . Can't wait to come back and see all he's adding.

The owner is an example of a Gentleman and an American.

In the dictionary under” Hipcamp” is Michael’s property! He went above and beyond to help me enjoy my stay. The site was flat, quiet and the stars lit up in the night sky. The old house gave it unique charm. I stopped here on my way to the Florida Keys and would for sure stop here again!

Great spot, secluded within a wooded area. Nice fire ring. It would be nice to have some signage for self check in. Hipcampers like myself enjoy the self sufficiency check ins if possible.
Otherwise a nice little location to camp for the night while traveling.

The lake was amazing to wake up to. Very well kept grounds and amenities. We tent camped and loved it. Not a huge campsite so it was very quiet. 10/10 recommend!

I absolutely had a wonderful time camping at Debra’s place. She was so kind and welcoming. You really don’t meet people that nice anymore. I am bikepacking the Palmetto Trail and her place was the perfect stop along my route. It’s also a short walk to a bar and grill, bonus! Would recommend to anyone looking to primitive camp. Very private too! She also runs a shuttle service for anyone interested!

Weekend Trip to Camp at The Farm - Outside Inn
Bring your boots because farms can be muddy! The animals on the farm are well cared for, more like pets and family. It is South Carolina swamp area so be prepared. Plenty of area for fun for the kiddos. The guide was very well constructed. The trails were great, I just wish there was about 7 miles of them. If you forget milk and such, Dollar General or Food Lion is just down the road. The cleanliness was perfect for me (the microbiologist)! The accommodations were a little tight. All in all I would highly recommend this site to others!

We only spent one night coming through to visit Congaree National Park. We loved the spot Michael picked out for us. There was wood all set up for us in the fire pit ready to light when we drove in. Also it was great to be able to use the little cabins facilities for the bathroom! Thanks for a great stay a bit chilly but still was an adventure. Would definitely stay there again if in this area.

I had a great five nights day at Big Creek. It was very cozy and wooded. Nice places to walk my dogs. The shower and bathroom facilities were warm and well kept. Would definitely come back!

Wow! I am so enamored with this place. I staying int the glamping tent. It was really cute and cozy. I was coming in late and they made a fire for me before I arrived. And even put out a water bowl for my dog. I highly recommend checking it out.

We really enjoyed staying at Debra's. They let us put our tent up back in the thick stand of trees. It was nice and private and we even were able to park our RAV4 back there. They were super hospitable. We will definitely stay there again next time we go through!

Weekend Trip to Sweetwater Lake Campground
The tent is great and spacious with an inflatable queen size mattress, fresh sheets and blankets, a heater and electricity. There are hammocks and other trees close enough for you to set up your own if you prefer. There is also a fire pit and they will give you firewood if you’re in need of more for free. The bathhouse is also great with a shower, sink and toilet. We didn’t use a ton of the stuff available due to some bad weather but overall we had a great time and enjoyed it very much. We will be back!
