Camp is on 50 acres with a pink marked trail to Red Bank Creek on the western border and back up through a hemlock forest along south border. A small stream runs through the property and forms a rocky delta in Red Bank Creek. All camp sites are on the eastern border and close to the main road to access property. Hike, enjoy the sound of the stream tickling through property, stargaze, or rest, watch nature's critters, read or just relax in a hammock. No hunting on property but fishing permitted along "river" aka Red Bank Creek. Please keep fires in firepit and noise levels low. Set up to be most natural, minimal mowing, and sites meant to be more private. We let you know if you have others on property. No running water or flush toilets on sites unless in your self-contained camper. A compost loo provided. Lots of kindling can be easily gathered for a fire. Consider ordering some ahead of time if it has been raining though. There is a tarp and a wheelbarrow to collect logs and kindling and move to your site.

Hominy Ridge Cabins and Gift Shop is located in Cook Forest State Park, PA, USA. Situated on 7 private acres, we offer 6 cabins (4 smaller ones with hot tubs) that offer most amenities. However, we do not supply bath towels and toiletries. We also permit dogs, for a $15 per day per dog fee, in most cabins with the exceptions to Cabins 1 and 3. Cabins 1, 3, 4, 6, all have private hot tubs on the porches. We do provide all bedding, pots, pans and dishes and silverware. Complete kitchens with all major appliances. Also provided is toilet paper, bath mat, dish soap, dish towels, scrub sponge, coffee filters with brew style coffee pot. We have firewood set up at cabins for convenience but the cost is $5 per bundle. Also, there is air conditioning for a $25 cost per day.

It's in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest amd has access to close by hiking trails and great fishing streams as well as nearby the Allegheny River. The Hickory Creek Wilderness Ranch is very nearby for horseback riding.

Neighborhood description
Rustic Run is a secluded cabin located on private land surrounded by timber lands and the Allegheny National Forest.
Access to hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing fishing, hunting, geocaching, wildlife viewing, ATV and snowmobile trails are all within a short drive. A handful of golfing options are available within a 30-minute radius or less.
The bridge on the property crosses over the creek and provides access to the area timber lands and Allegheny National Forest. There is a cooperative agreement between the timber lands and ANF which allows for non-motorized, public use. Off trail-hiking is plentiful all around the cabin.
Chapman State Park is about a 10 minute drive.
Kinzua Dam; Jake's Rocks are 20-25 minute drive.

I loved camping at the tree house at Muddy Myst! The hosts were incredibly attentive to any questions we had during our stay and we were warm and cozy inside the cabin despite the chilly Temps outside. Our dog had the best time out of all 3 of us though! She was able to be off leash and run through the snow to her hearts content. We definitely will be back to make more memories here in the future 😊

This was the perfect little space to get away from life in the winter. The little propane heater was enough to warm up the space in the middle of the night and early morning. I didn't have the right gear to hike in the snow but I will be back to try out the trails in the spring! There was plenty of fire wood and a solo stove which we didn't really use but I appreciate that it was available. Also the hosts were very friendly and offered extra lights and things to make my stay more cozy. I will most definitely be back with better gear ❤️ Thank you again for making this quiet space available for people to get away from the busy world!

The loft in the trees was the perfect place to stay on a winter night but still be surrounded by nature. The outdoor mood lighting on the property perfectly highlighted the slow falling snow that welcomed my one night stay here. In the morning the land was peaceful with birds chirping and the creek bubbling slowly on my morning walk. The bathroom was Amazing!! Way better than anything I could have anticipated. This is a really well done Hipcamp and I would definitely stay here again. I appreciate Liam & Jolene for being so welcoming and for sharing such a wonderful space. My kitten loved being in the nature and away from cars and other people, thanks for having us!!

Fantastic property! We rented the tree cabin but the tent sites also looked great. All the amenities you could ask for while still being rustic and private. We visited for our annual fall leaf peeping trip, but we fully intend to come back in the summer--we are excited to take advantage of the cute little pond for swimming and kayaking.

I booked the tree cabin to surprise my boyfriend with a one-night-getaway for his birthday, and we absolutely loved our time here. Liam did an incredible job with communicating important info via Hipcamp messaging, and he created a beautiful, serene atmosphere at Muddy Myst that made our stay wonderful. Everything was clean, private, and beautiful. We really appreciated the bathroom & common area amenities. We had an amazing stay and absolutely will come back and recommend to a friend. Muddy Myst is the perfect relaxing getaway!
The treehouse was cozy and inviting. Even with all the rain at night, we slept peacefully with the windows open. The magnetic screen door was a nice addition to keep the critters out. There are clearly marked trails around the campsites and “Hank’s Hangout” is well stocked with complimentary coffee, tea, filtered hot/cold water and a nicely kept bathroom with a shower next door. Our dog loved the beds outside and inside the treehouse.
Thanks again for the wonderful hospitality, we cannot wait to make a trip back!

We had an amazing stay. Hosts were incredibly pleasant and inclusive. Our dogs also loved exploring and being able to run around. The pond is SO NICE and crystal clear. We would love to stay again!

3 nights at Muddy Myst
We had a fantastic weekend away at Muddy Myst! We were staying at the cabin site, and it was a wonderful experience! After reading some other notes left in their guest book, I saw a pattern of attentiveness and hospitality from the hosts reflected in our stay as well. They had thought of things we didn't even know would be helpful. We went hiking and exploring during the day and were able to relax in our home away from home the rest of the time. I hope to visit the same site again in the future!

Great amenities, the site was clean and well put together. Definitely had privacy even with the other sites just outside of hearing/seeing distance.
Pool has great afternoon shade.

Weekend Trip to Muddy Myst
One of the most beautiful camp we’ve ever been to in my 40 years Camping. It is completely secluded, but with all the amenities you could possibly want. We look forward to being back again this season. Everything was beyond clean.. For being so remote and having the bathroom the common area, the treehouse being as immaculate as it is, is truly incredible.
