We stayed in one of the cabins. The bed setup was perfect. We were surprised that a mini fridge, mirror, etc were included. The host also had a indoor/outdoor patio area near the main house that had treats for kiddos and drinks for adults. The host were very accommodating and available to answer questions. Their farm hands were very helpful and gave some lessons on animal keeping to my kids which was Sooo kind. I would recommend this farm for families.

Site 2 - Double Rainbow Farm
I think we were one of the last people to stay at the farm before it transferred to the new owners. We first found the farm at the start of covid and it was love at first sight. One of my girls has autism and Milton was so patient and understanding.
Coming back a second time---the girls made themselves at home. They rode horses, swam and kayaked in the pond, played with the barn cats, and even did some farm chores. We made smores by campfire, wandered with the horses when they grazed and went into town for ice cream.
I wish the new owners best of luck and I hope they keep it as welcoming and comfortable a place as it is now. We will certainly be back again. It truly is a special place.
It IS a farm with rustic-ish amenities. There is dirt and bugs and an outhouse. All of that just adds to the experience.

We had a wonderful time at Milton’s place. My family of four, kids 4/6, felt right at home on the farm. Interacting with the animals and spending time at the pond was second to none. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing time here! My dogs, fiance and I all enjoyed everything this place had to offer. The owners of the property are such awesome and wonderful people. I highly recommend staying for at least 3 nights if you can.

This farm is among the loveliest places on earth. We rented both cabins and camped with six kids ages 4-13, they frolicked in the pond (in late May), kayaked, ran wild and free, fell in love with kittens, rode horses, and we went to town to see fireworks at night. Milton was so welcoming and warm. Everything was perfect.

Milton and George have a mighty fine place! With TLC written all over throughout the property. The cabin was quaint, comfortably warmed by a space heater, the bed fantastic, and the mini fridge and Keurig coffee a treat and bonus. My only complaint is that we budgeted only for a one night stopover - more time would have been well spent here! Thank you! Views are beautiful and the barn stables and animals were all amazing.

It was amazing! So eager to return. It was a magical experience on this farm. Milton is a gem and everyone there is so pleasant. The animals are well mannered and so beautiful and sweet. I had a short stay but felt like a $1,000,000 when I left! Definitely planning a return trip.

Got cozy in the cabins, got to horseback ride, and hung out with all the friendly animals around a nice fire pit. Would highly recommend if you're into the farm setting! Can't forget to mention the beautiful view overlooking acres of trees and land!

We are a family of 4, with two girls ages 4 and 6. We came across this camping experience and decided to give it a try as our kids love animals, and we live within an hour’s drive. We had a lot of fun, and the kids wanted to move in! Many animals roam around freely, so be ready to get comfortable having a large pig standing beside you as you cook breakfast, or having a horse join you for dinner. Very whimsical, and very relaxing. We canoed on the pond, fed the ducks, rode horses, played with the dogs and cats. Everyone was very friendly and kind; we even brought our dog and he just blended right in with all the other creatures. This is a very unique experience, and we loved it!

Everything about our stay was amazing. Milton and crew were so welcoming and we did everything we could on the farm. Horse riding, fishing, stargazing, playing with the dogs and cats and goats and chickens (and MORE!)…the list goes on. We felt so safe and supported at this family farm and hope to come back! Thank you for having us! We had such an incredible time with the horses, donkeys, goats, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, and Milton! The hosts were very gracious, and let us groom, ride, and give treats to the horses. The cabin was quite cozy-- It was a cold weekend (we got a bit of snow), and the heater inside kept us nice and warm. There is also a small fridge and a Keurig with k-cups and mugs. The view from the window was stunning, and we had a nice sunset on the first night. The bathroom is an outhouse, and there are no showers, but there is water available. Milton is quick and responsive via Hipcamp's messaging, and was a fantastic host! Best Hipcamp ever!

Milton, the staff and the animals at Double Rainbow Farm all are a pure delight. We were given riding lessons and encouraged to explore the property and get to know the animals. My 12 year old was in heaven. The cabin stayed plenty warm (we visited in October), and I set up my camp stove and a small folding table in it. Water was not far away from a hose in the barn. The grounds were very muddy, and being a farm, there is a lot of animal poop all around. The cabin itself had a rugged floor that could withstand the farm muck. We opted for shoes on at all times. The cabin was adorable but definitely needs a thorough cleaning. There were a lot of cobwebs and dust. Hopefully that will be remedied before the next guests. The pit toilets were very clean.

Absolutely amazing!! Miton was so friendly and very nice! The property is gorgeous and spacious! Animals are unbelievably well taken care of and loved. I cannot wait to come back, it was very hard leaving. Can't wait to make more memories there!

So much fun! Milton was gracious and welcoming. The cabin was quirky (books and Knick knacks everywhere!), but also comfortable and has everything we needed. Being surrounded by so many animals, sitting in front of the campfire, and looking at the stars (goodness, there were so many) was good for my soul.

Upon arrival to the farm, we pulled in, horses and dogs walked around freely. We rolled down our windows to ask where we should park and one of the dogs (Dash) jumped right into the car onto our laps - when I turned my head a horse had its nose in the window to say hi. It was a welcoming and magical entrance. My partner and I were very tired from a long week and mostly laid around and slept but there was kayaks and canoes available to us - we were free to walk around the farm anywhere (and did) Milton was very nice and answered our questions. We were even able to ride horses if we wanted. The place is lively (64 horses, 9 dogs, 2 cows, 30 cats, several pigs and goats, chickens etc.) we had a very restful stay which is what we needed. This was a unique experience and our only regrets were not having more energy to engage with what surrounded us.

Staying with Milton and the folks at MLW was fantastic. There’s so much wonderful animal life all over the ranch—ducks, geese, cattle, horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, plenty of dogs. It’s pretty magical. If you’re looking for some solitude, the stable is a short drive from Allegheny National Forest.

One of the best cabins we've stayed at through hipcamp. A double bed, bunk beds, and a cot gave enough room for all 6 of us to sleep and we met so many friendly animals and people around the farm. Milton and George were great hosts and even started a fire for us to sit around in the evening. The stars were amazing even on a rainy weekend. There was so much to explore on the property including the pond, which we swam and canoed on. We had a great stay and would definitely return!

We LOVED Double Rainbow Farms. We really enjoyed talking to Milton and getting to know him. Our cabin was super cute and cozy, the bed was really comfortable. This place is also an animal lover’s dream! Goats, pigs, dogs, cows and 60 horses (including a few donkeys and mini horses). There is also a very clean pond for swimming. The weather wasn’t right for us, but we’d love to come back and swim. Highly recommended!

Everything here is what a kids dreams are made of (and the kids at heart) Milton is such a genuinely kind person and the whole farm just feels happy. Double Rainbow Farm is such a magical place. We were only there for one night but it felt like we had spent many days there by the time we left. The pond was lovely, the horses were magical, and the cabin was so cozy. Milton started a huge bonfire for us in the evening and gave us free reign to explore and make ourselves at home. The rainbow flags throughout the property were so cheerful as were all of the fairy lights and art installations. We will definitely come back!
