Your stay in the treehouse is off–grid, thoroughly insulated and heated by a wood-burning stove, also we do supply you with a Jackery 1000 lithium battery generator to power the shower, or to charge your phone or laptop. We are a working blueberry and flower farm near the town of Tunkhannock, in the Endless Mountains Region of Pennsylvania.
We also have nature and some fun recreational opportunities both on property and close by.
On our property we have an 18 hole disc golf course (more info can be found on Udisc or Facebook page "Campsite Disc Golf"). The course has all PDGA approved chain baskets with wood chip or grass tee boxes. We are constantly upgrading the course, it gets better every year!
We have some beautiful places for walks (or easy hikes) including walking the course even if you don't play disc golf....it makes for some nice clear trails through the woods.
There is a 2 1/2 acre pond where you are welcome to kayak, canoe or paddleboard. A 10 acre swamp, a small creek (that does often dry up in the summer....it's beautiful in the spring), and bountiful wildlife.
Nearby are many more recreational opportunities. Within driving distances varying from 5 minutes to an hour (most things within 20 minutes) are a river, two creeks, several lakes (all with public boat access, some with swimming), hiking and biking trails, wineries, brewery, restaurants, a movie theater and shopping (grocery stores and the small downtown are less than 10 minutes).
We can provide more information and directions for any activities you are interested in.
Our private road which leads to the areas available for camping has only one resident who lives past (with access rights to use the road to get to his property) so it is secluded with no traffic. It can be very dark on moonless nights which is fantastic for stargazing. Intrepid winter campers will find the sky is most crisp clear and incredible in the winter....but the summer is still quite spectacular.
Blueberry season is all of July and spilling into August (although winding down by then). During that time the Grassy corner site is more out of the way and quieter. The Most Convenient Woods is close but separate, no one except a passing disc golfer can easily look into your site. You will hear activity in the blueberry field during the day. Possibly including a noise maker that makes a periodic boom in the mornings to keep the birds from stealing all the berries (we are looking for quieter bird scaring options for the future). We try to keep that to a minimum especially if campers are present but can't promise silence. The noise maker is turned off as soon as customers are present so it is just a little while in the morning.

As you roam the hills and forests you'll eventually bump into some of our animals. Please do not enter the animal enclosures or touch any of the electrified fence lines. If you really want to pet a piggie or hold a chicken - just reach out to Ike or Dave and we will gladly arrange this for you.
Red House Ranch is also the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. During your stay you may encounter eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, the endangered bobolink bird (its unique call sounds a bit like R2D2), deer, great horned owls, and many unique plants. It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night.
In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices.
When skies are clear our area has very little light pollution and excellent star visibility. It's a great place to view the night sky during a meteor shower.

If you step back in time a few owners, the Kitchen family with 8 boys and a girl farmed the land that surrounds the little tributary to Montour Run. We have 10 forested hilly acres 12 miles from Ithaca. We’ve built a camp with a yurt with a foam floor that sleeps a family of 4. Bring sleeping bags and pads or you have an air mattress you can blow up inside the yurt that is fun. in the photo s you will also see a dry lean-to with a double bed platform inside to put your sleeping bags or air mattress or to put supplies off the ground to keep dry. Also lots of room for tents. The campfire has a grill to cook over a wood fire, 2 benches & Adirondack chairs, a hammock and a picnic table. There’s also a fun homemade swing & seesaw. There are many marked walking trails around our land to enjoy. There is access to well water. Dry cut Firewood is available for $7 a bundle at the property or you can add extras with booking for $7.70 per bundle. Portable toilet outside & outdoor hot water shower.
It is very quiet here. We are close to Treman, Buttermilk And Taughannock State Parks which all have swimming. Watkins Glen State Park and racetrack is half an hour away. 150 breathtakingly magnificent waterfalls in this area. Great hiking. We are 14 miles from Cornell University and 10 miles from Ithaca College. We are between two finger lakes, Cayuga and Seneca, there are 60 wineries and breweries around the lakes. Woman’s Rights National Museum in Seneca Falls, Corning Museum of Glass is fabulous. Ithaca has theatres, many museums & lots for kids to do. Woman’s Rights National Museum in Seneca Falls, Corning Museum of Glass is fabulous. Ithaca has theatres, many museums & lots for kids to do. Or just hang out in our forest & enjoy our 10 private acres of trails. Bob is in the Ithaca Art Trail so check out his workshop if you are interested. In the open at the fire pit, near the fence line where the horses come up at night sometimes. We pitch our text in the trees though I've seen people pitch at this site in the open area. We had an amazing time as always.

I spent two nights camping with friends and family on a disc golf course. How could it not be excellent?
The owners are friendly and attentive and the course is well lyed out with some custom made bonus baskets.

Fantastic place to camp. Susan is the best host. Really takes care of the land, maintains the campsites, and makes sure you have everything you need. This site in particular was tucked back in the woods just enough to feel secluded, but you still had an awesome view out over the open field / hill.

Went to Catherine and John’s property middle of October and had a great camp. Catherine greeted us and made sure we were all set. Threw a couple of fun rounds with friends, cooked some nice food, and had an overall great experience. Will be back soon to check out some fishing on the Susquehanna. Cool camping spot.

We had such an amazing time here! My boyfriend, my roommate and her partner, and our dog all came up for the weekend — it was absolutely gorgeous. The site was spacious and private; we couldn’t see anyone else around, which made it feel so peaceful and perfect for a quiet getaway. It did get a bit chilly at night, but that just added to the cozy campfire vibes.
Dave and Ike were incredibly hospitable and welcoming — and the fresh eggs were delicious! Would 100% recommend this spot to anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy some beautiful open space.

We stayed at Red House Camp for the weekend with the grandkids. The kids loved exploring the trails and visiting the animals. Ike was very responsive and helpful with my questions before hand. Dave was there to guide us to the tiny house and checked the fuel in the generator multiple times a day. He provided guidance about visiting the animals and exploring the farm. He was so available to purchase some farm fresh meat. The tiny house was quite comfortable. They allowed us to bring our camper and park next to the house as our kids stayed in the house. The views were beautiful with the moon settling in at night and the sunrise with the fog rolling in and out in the morning. Highly recommend.

Camping at CSDG for the second time, and it was just as great as the first. We had the chance to play a round with Cathy, John, and Dave, and we had such a fun time that we played an additional 8 on the older course with the makeshift baskets—definitely awesome!! You can tell Cathy and John love what they do, and they radiate nothing but warmth and kindness. Communication was great, bathroom was clean, and the camp site was private and stocked with wood. Can’t wait to come back in the spring!

Our group had a great time at Fairie Tale Farms - Moondance Retreat and would highly recommend! Susan was very welcoming, showing us to our campsite and checking on us during our stay. We enjoyed walking around the property checking out the lake and watching the horses. During our stay we did a casual hike at Ricketts Glen State park and checked out a community fair.

This was our second time staying at Red House Ranch and once again we loved it. We had a wonderful weekend enjoying the beautiful views and the peaceful setting. The kids loved the swing at our site and spent most of the weekend taking turns on it. We really appreciated how accommodating Ike was and the ease of communication with him. The eggs they gave us were delicious as well. We enjoyed spending some time fishing at the pond and caught quite a few! There is something so special about this farm and we hope to come back again and again.

Susan's land was beautiful, remote, yet a short drive from great hikes at Ricketts Glen State Park. Most of the camp sites are far enough away from other campers and was a true primitive experience. Susan was incredibly helpful with anything we needed or had questions about.
