We have three camp sites on a 200-acre parcel of secluded, rural farm land. We are a working pasture based farm where you can see how grass fed beef, pork, chicken, and eggs are produced. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley!
When you arrive we will provide a complimentary carton of pastured raised eggs and you are welcome to visit our web site (redhouseranch . net) or store to order meats for your stay and/or to take with you upon your departure. We have a wide variety of grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, snack sticks for long hikes, and dog bones and smoked treats for your furry friends. Many of our items are well suited for campfire cooking. Keep in mind that all our products are frozen so be sure to plan for time to thaw. If you're not sure what that involves - we're here to help.
We are a working farm but, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, pasture-based, farming methods. Learn more about us and the history of the farm at our website.
As you roam the hills and forests you'll eventually bump into some of our animals. Please do not enter the animal enclosures or touch any of the electrified fence lines. If you really want to pet a piggie or hold a chicken - just reach out to Ike or Dave and we will gladly arrange this for you.
Red House Ranch is also the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. During your stay you may encounter eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, the endangered bobolink bird (its unique call sounds a bit like R2D2), deer, great horned owls, and many unique plants. It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night.
In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. The other three are smaller and are now primarily wildlife habitat. easily accessible with mown paths
If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices.
When skies are clear our area has very little light pollution and excellent star visibility. It's a great place to view the night sky during a meteor shower.

The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. I feel in love with this property as it had the perfect spot in the middle of the ten acres for camp, not to far from the house and driveway so very easy assess. A short walk up a trail. We have 10 forested hilly acres 12 miles from Ithaca. We’ve built a camp with a yurt with a foam floor that sleeps a family of 4. Bring sleeping bags and pads or you have an air mattress you can blow up inside the yurt that is fun. in the photo s you will also see a dry lean-to with a double bed platform inside to put your sleeping bags or air mattress or to put supplies off the ground to keep dry. Also lots of room for tents. The campfire has a grill to cook over a wood fire, 2 benches & Adirondack chairs, a hammock and a picnic table. There’s also a fun homemade swing & seesaw. There are many marked walking trails around our land to enjoy. There is access to well water. Dry cut Firewood is available for $7 a bundle at the property or you can add extras with booking for $7.70 per bundle. Portable toilet outside & outdoor hot water shower.
It is very quiet here. We are close to Treman, Buttermilk And Taughannock State Parks which all have swimming. Watkins Glen State Park and racetrack is half an hour away. 150 breathtakingly magnificent waterfalls in this area. Great hiking. We are 14 miles from Cornell University and 10 miles from Ithaca College. We are between two finger lakes, Cayuga and Seneca, there are 60 wineries and breweries around the lakes. Woman’s Rights National Museum in Seneca Falls, Corning Museum of Glass is fabulous. Ithaca has theatres, many museums & lots for kids to do. Or just hang out in our forest & enjoy our 10 private acres of trails. Bob is in the Ithaca Art Trail so check out his workshop if you are interested. With kids
We stayed at Red House Camp for the weekend with the grandkids. The kids loved exploring the trails and visiting the animals. Ike was very responsive and helpful with my questions before hand. Dave was there to guide us to the tiny house and checked the fuel in the generator multiple times a day. He provided guidance about visiting the animals and exploring the farm. He was so available to purchase some farm fresh meat. The tiny house was quite comfortable. They allowed us to bring our camper and park next to the house as our kids stayed in the house. The views were beautiful with the moon settling in at night and the sunrise with the fog rolling in and out in the morning. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Red House Ranch Camp
We had a lovely stay at the tiny house on Red House Ranch, we did not want to leave. Ike and Dave made sure we had everything we needed and the cabin amenities were plenty. Outhouse was clean and the shower was hot, temperature in the tiny house was optimal. There were plenty of outdoor chairs and firewood for our stay, the complimentary eggs were delicious and so were the meats that we purchased from their store. Could recommend this stay enough, especially if you like having morning coffee with the cows.

Me and my boyfriend loved this spot. Although we didn’t have a lot of time to explore as much as we wanted, we were pleasantly surprised about what we were able to see :) We also petted some really sweet kitties :,) The cabin was soooo cozy and the breeze all night made for an amazing sleep. I woke up not wanting to leave bed. We spoke with the land owner for a little, she is so sweet and welcoming. It seems like they put a lot of effort into their property to make everything perfect :) Definitely the highlight of my PA trip!!!

I felt that it was really organized and they had dotted all their eyes and crossed all their Ts. Also really appreciated the well water hookup that gave plenty of really nice flowing water in front of the cabin. And the cabin interior was very comforting and the bedding was really nice. Being a grandmother traveling with a grandchild I really appreciated being able to pull my car right up to the cabin and just get my things that I needed right out of the car as I needed them.

What a unique place ! Loved the rustic tiny house ! Quiet , private and peaceful. The bathroom was clean and well equipped. Lost power because of a crazy storm but was still good ! Would book the other tiny house or the rustic again . Got in the creek felt really good . You need water shoes :)

Weekend Trip to River Mountain Outdoors
What a cute setup. Stayed in one of the tiny cabins, equipped with a mini fridge, tea kettle, fan, and mugs. The bed was very comfortable and I slept great! My finance and I walked along the trail that goes over the mountain along the stream. Nice scenery and dipped our feet in. The campground has 2 clean bathrooms and a shower, the water was cold but fine for a summer day and they even had soap and towels like a hotel :) we had a great time. Very refreshing.

We [2 people and 2 dogs] enjoyed our little glamping getaway at the West Creek Campground, enough so that we would definitely do it here again! The Dwellings are close to one another, but far enough where you can still enjoy nature and your own personal space. Since nights were still a little chilly at the end of May (the time of writing this review), a small electric heater was provided that was enough to keep the Dwelling comfortable. The bathhouse is clean and modern, and it's exciting to see the development of future glamping options at this campground. Vanessa (camp host) was very friendly, helpful, and attentive to the guests' needs. 5/5

We had a great experience! The cabin was comfortable and thoughtfully equipped, with plenty of outlets and the flexibility to combine twin beds for couples. The bathhouse was by far the best and most modern we’ve seen at any campsite; immaculately clean with hot showers. The entire property was peaceful and beautifully maintained. Vanessa, our point of contact, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. While WiFi is available, we weren’t able to connect, but our phone service worked just fine.

What a great spot! The dwellings were so cute and had everything we needed. There was a cute welcome letter with fire starter and smores for each of us. There is touch lights and an outlet. The beds were so comfy and we stayed warm. We got two bundles of wood for the fire and the bathrooms were so clean! There is WiFi but we had enough service as well which was nice to touch base with love ones when we got back from hiking all day.
We were the only ones this week but we would love to come back again. It was such a lovely place to stay and close to Ricketts glen and worlds end state park. Thank you for hosting us!!

It was a wonderful experience and just the cozy vibe I was looking for. The hiking trail next to the river was beautiful, it was a pristine and breathtaking property.
