We are 14 miles from Cornell University and 10 miles from Ithaca College. We are between two finger lakes, Cayuga and Seneca, there are 60 wineries and breweries around the lakes. Campfire ring, water spigot (private drilled well) and electric available on the property. Neighbor cottage partially visible, but our property is pretty secluded and private. Picnic tables and chairs provided. Well behaved pets okay, leashes may be required. Mostly level terrain, ample parking area. Very peaceful here. My favorite place to relax, with a guitar and a glass of wine! Choose your own campsite; spots are reasonably private and secluded. Mowed paths throughout camping section; both sunny and shady spots on both sides of stream. The lake and dock area and the boats, the gazebo, and metal fire ring and picnic tables, are communal. Parking is in a large gravel area behind cottage. Campsites are located across a small stream, easily accessible (less than a 3 min walk) from the parking area. Path immediately next to parking leads to a nice camping area alongside stream. Truck and car-top tents in the parking area may be allowed upon request. We ask that cars stay in the parking area, but there is a wheelbarrow for use in transporting your gear to the spot you choose. There is no bathroom. (Cottage is private.) You must pack it out, or bring your own portable toilet with disposable liner bags. Trash and recycling cans are provided. No shower, but the lake is great for swimming - even in FALL!

This cabin has been in my family for over 40 years, and we love to share it's charm with the world! Sleep like a log in our one-room charming cabin on a small private lake lot with non-motor boats only. Little Elk Lake is 43 acres. Queen bed with linens provided, plus 2 adult cots with pads and sleeping bags. Rowboat plus 1 youth kayak, two adult kayaks and a canoe are available for your use, and we have life jackets in many sizes. We are sorry but the pontoon boat cannot be used by guests. The fishing is EXCELLENT and bring your binoculars - BALD EAGLES frequent the lake! We want you to have so much FUN during your visit, but we are not a party spot. The lake is rural and quiet, and so we must request low noise levels after 10 pm in order to keep our neighborhood HAPPY! :) We welcome everyone, including the LGBQT community and folks from all ethnicities. You'll feel like you are coming home to a safe haven and all guests will be treated with kindness and respect here at Sunset Shore! Don't waste one moment of lake time! Enjoy BEAUTIFUL, fall camping at our mostly private and very spacious lake property with dock and boats. The mild October weather still provides a great opportunity to camp and enjoy the lovely foliage around the lake! Our folks bought this family property in 1953, and it is used and maintained now by our family. We feel blessed to be able to share it with our own children and grandchildren today, and offer it to others to enjoy who may not have such a peaceful and serene spot to relax and unwind. Stay on 10 beautiful acres of rustic, private land with many good camping spots to choose from in grassy areas with lots of trees. Enjoy boating/fishing/swimming. We have a gazebo at the lake shore, and an anchored swimming float. Kayaks, canoe, rowboat, and peddle boat are available. Lots of wildlife around the lake to enjoy. Campfire ring, water spigot (private drilled well) and electric available on the property. Neighbor cottage partially visible, but our property is pretty secluded and private. Picnic tables and chairs provided. Well behaved pets okay, leashes may be required. Mostly level terrain, ample parking area. Very peaceful here. My favorite place to relax, with a guitar and a glass of wine! Choose your own campsite; spots are reasonably private and secluded. Mowed paths throughout camping section; both sunny and shady spots on both sides of stream. The lake and dock area and the boats, the gazebo, and metal fire ring and picnic tables, are communal. Parking is in a large gravel area behind cottage. Campsites are located across a small stream, easily accessible (less than a 3 min walk) from the parking area. Path immediately next to parking leads to a nice camping area alongside stream. Truck and car-top tents in the parking area may be allowed upon request. We ask that cars stay in the parking area, but there is a wheelbarrow for use in transporting your gear to the spot you choose. There is no bathroom. (Cottage is private.) You must pack it out, or bring your own portable toilet with disposable liner bags. Trash and recycling cans are provided. No shower, but the lake is great for swimming - even in FALL!

Weekend Trip to Paper Mill Pines Glamping Getaway

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Allen and the kids, and had such a pleasant experience. He drove out belongings and some of us down the the glamping site and was kind and welcoming. The tent was clean, comfortable and warm. We had all the firewood we needed, cooking supplies, composting toilet in the outhouse, water. My husband and I had a great time with our son and teenage nephews. Highly recommend the beautiful surrounding scenery of the lake and woods and wildlife. I didn’t get to meet Donna, but she is very friendly and communicative. Thank you for a great stay!

This glamping tent was PERFECT!!! Donna, Alan, and Tyrion 🐱 were perfect hosts. The heater in the tent was great for the colder nights and my puppy loved the land to sniff around. Very close to Rickette’s Glen state park and local to some cidery’s and winery’s. We even checked out a drive-in movie when we were there. If you’re looking to unplug and to have some privacy, this is perfect :)

The serenity of the wind and trees, tranquility of the pond, the sight of the crackling campfire, sounds of birds chirping, roosters crowing, and critters scurrying about in the fallen leaves - and the calm of morning, with stillness sitting all around you. It is just so peaceful. Being in nature feeds your soul. We will absolutely be back! 🍂

Had such a lovely stay with Jackie and Chris. Not only were they super accommodating of our last minute booking, they moved our campsite to one safer and dryer in the weather. We spent a beautiful cozy night despite the rain, we even got to have a little fire before it got too wet! Wood bundles for purchase are large and generous. Got to meet both Chris and Jackie and felt like we'd known them for years. Highly recommend this sweet little spot-- we'll be back!!

we had the best weekend at paper mill pines. as people who don’t usually camp, we felt so safe, welcomed, and totally looked after. the hosts were incredible, so kind and genuine the entire time. the site had everything we could have needed, even after overpacking. the coleman bundle was a must, the bluetooth speaker somehow lasted the whole trip, and the firewood supply never ended. the bathroom was spotless, and the 4x4 drive into the site made it feel like a real little adventure. just a heads up for t-mobile users, there’s no service, so download your playlists ahead of time. our group of five left with full hearts, full stomachs, and so many good memories. can’t recommend this place enough

This was our second visit to the cabin, the first being in 2020. It is peaceful and cozy and our weekend was so relaxing. There is all sorts of wildlife in the area. We saw deer, bald eagles, turkey and chipmunks! A great weekend overall!

Susan's land was beautiful, remote, yet a short drive from great hikes at Ricketts Glen State Park. Most of the camp sites are far enough away from other campers and was a true primitive experience. Susan was incredibly helpful with anything we needed or had questions about.

New yurt instead of teepee totally dry with a skylight so you don't have to bring a tent if you don't want to, just the bedding.

We had such a great experience camping here! The site itself was beautiful — peaceful, clean, and surrounded by nature. We camped with our two-year-old, and it couldn’t have been a better fit for our family. Everything we needed was right there, which made the whole trip so much easier with a little one. It really felt like the perfect balance of comfort and the outdoors. It’s not always easy to find a campsite that works so well for families with young children, but this one truly exceeded our expectations. We’re already looking forward to coming back and would absolutely recommend it to anyone, whether you’re camping with kids or just looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

Susan has been an excellent host. She checks in on us and makes sure our needs are met. Heaven's Peak has been a great place for my group to camp at. It is more than enough space for our group of 12 people. Would highly recommend for anyone who value space and seclusion. Susan already had firewood, water, two picnic tables, and a port-o-potty set up at our campsite before arrival. Definitely recommend.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Greg's site. The photos don't do justice to the beauty there or show the extent of the amenities offered (looks like the inside of the tent has been updated since they were taken), everything we needed and more. Just to set your expectations straight, it is not secluded. But still worth it. There were neighbors who made noise when we were there (talking into the night, operate machineries during the day) But surprisingly, it didn't bother us. We couldn't see them and still felt like we had privacy in our own world. There were some boats on the lake but people were friendly and passed by quickly. Some highlights: kayaking, serene morning with the mist covering the lake lifting ever so slowly, lying on the dock looking at the night sky, sitting on the swing watching leaves dance. We also appreciated the clean bathroom just steps away, comfortable bed, Greg's attention to details and especially that he kindly let us check out late. We've been raving about this place to everyone and would return in a heartbeat.
