Enjoy BEAUTIFUL, fall camping at our mostly private and very spacious lake property with dock and boats. The mild October weather still provides a great opportunity to camp and enjoy the lovely foliage around the lake! Our folks bought this family property in 1953, and it is used and maintained now by our family. We feel blessed to be able to share it with our own children and grandchildren today, and offer it to others to enjoy who may not have such a peaceful and serene spot to relax and unwind. Stay on 10 beautiful acres of rustic, private land with many good camping spots to choose from in grassy areas with lots of trees.  Enjoy boating/fishing/swimming. We have a gazebo at the lake shore, and an anchored swimming float. Kayaks, canoe, rowboat, and peddle boat are available. Lots of wildlife around the lake to enjoy. Campfire ring,  water spigot (private drilled well) and electric available on the property. Neighbor cottage partially visible, but our property is pretty secluded and private. Picnic tables and chairs provided.  Well behaved pets okay, leashes may be required.  Mostly level terrain, ample parking area.  Very peaceful here.  My favorite place to relax, with a guitar and a glass of wine! Choose your own campsite; spots are reasonably private and secluded. Mowed paths throughout camping section; both sunny and shady spots on both sides of stream.  The lake and dock area and the boats, the gazebo, and metal fire ring and picnic tables, are communal. Parking is in a large gravel area behind cottage. Campsites are located across a small stream, easily accessible (less than a 3 min walk) from the parking area.  Path immediately next to parking leads to a nice camping area alongside stream. Truck and car-top tents in the parking area may be allowed upon request. We ask that cars stay in the parking area, but there is a wheelbarrow for use in transporting your gear to the spot you choose. There is no bathroom. (Cottage is private.)  You must pack it out, or bring your own portable toilet with disposable liner bags.  Trash and recycling cans are provided. We loved our stay here (again)! Catherine is the sweetest, most communicative host, and her property is just magical. The lakeside is calm, beautiful, and full of life—we spotted birds, fish, snakes, and even some fancy bugs showing off. The communal area is spotless, perfectly set up with boats, games, and plenty of room to relax. Our first trip was with a group of four and this time it was just me, my partner, and our dog, and both visits were equally wonderful. Whether you come with a several people or just a plus-one (or pup), you’ll find space, peace, and good vibes. Thanks again, Catherine!

Cathy’s property is wonderful. She gave us clear instructions to get there and pick out our spot to camp. There’s multiple areas to pick from close to the lake and further back with great landscaping to other paths to camp on. Plenty of flat land for tents. The stars are absolutely gorgeous at night. The swimming off the dock was great. There are plenty of boats to choose from. Having well water was very helpful. They allow you to use their trash and recycling also which is a huge plus. Everything was wonderful.

My friends and I loved our time here. The lake is beautiful and refreshing. The firewood provided to us made our night so much easier :) It was quiet, peaceful, and pleasant.

Catherine’s property was perfect for what we were looking for! Quiet, private, and spacious. Catherine greeted us upon arrival and let us know where everything is. She was very friendly and communicative. We kayaked in the lake which was wonderful and the water was great. I would absolutely visit again. I highly recommend this property!

Amazing Lake Getaway

We loved tent camping at the lake! We had an amazing time. Most of our time was spent down at the gazebo by the lake which has electricity and is a great spot to get out of the sun and into the shade. We took out the paddle boat and canoe several times during our stay and the lake is beautiful. Our first morning there it was cold but we still jumped off the dock and into the lake which is very very clean by the way. We did take several walks around the property and noticed chipmunks, multiple types of birds, frogs, and deer. We can’t wait to come back and are already planning our next trip! I would recommend this spot to anyone who loves camping near the water.

Loved all the space to setup camp and access to all the paddle boats, kayak, etc. We were in the water almost the entire time. Fire pit was setup and ready for immediate use with firewood. Thanks, Catherine.

Amazing Weekend at the Lake

The campsite was perfect! We booked all 3 sites for an annual friends camping trip. Everyone had plenty of space to set up their tents. The communal area and lake were amazing. There was so much space for my dog to run around and then cool off in the lake. The lake had so many boat options and was really clean. Cathy was wonderful and checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly. Such a pleasant camping experience and much better than being on overcrowded campsites.

A wonderful campsite! We booked the entire site for our annual friend’s camping trip. There were 12 people and 1 dog… There was so much space to spread out our tents. Cathy was very helpful in making sure we had everything needed for the weekend. The lake and lawn area were really wonderful for hanging out altogether. My dog had a great time running and jumping into the water.. Would highly recommend camping at this spot!

One of our favorite campsites we have stayed at on Hipcamp! It is even more stunning in person and such a blast playing in the lake! There are so many different types of boats and kayaks you can use. Luckily we had the place to ourselves so it was very private and peaceful. Cathy and Tom were the sweetest hosts and made sure we were comfortable!

Best place to camp with dogs!

We had the best time at Cathy's Secluded Lakeside Camp. It was the perfect place for us to camp and bring our dogs. We set up our tent on the knoll overlooking the lake. We were able to cook, eat and drink, and hang our hammock. The water activities were a lot of fun. We got to take the 2-person canoe out on the lake, as well as swim to the floating dock. The best part of the lake is that there are no motorized watercraft, so it is always very peaceful and calm. At the night the stars were very bright and we were able to enjoy the stars. We appreciated the well cared for lawn, we were able to walk in bare feet and the dogs had the best time chasing each other around the yard. Cathy was not in town for our visit, but she was very communicative on the phone and through email. Tom, her husband was there and was so kind and welcoming to use during our stay. We hope to be back soon to enjoy the solitude of the lake!

The land is beautiful! Lots of cool stuff to do there. Salt springs state park is gorgeous. Red rock BBQ restaurant is amazing. The family that owns the land is so friendly and warm, they welcome you like family! Almost like an outdoor Airbnb lol. Highly recommend!

Relax and unwind.

Had a great time camping here on the lake for 3 nights. Perfect for a long weekend getaway to relax and unwind. Salt Springs State Park is not too far away and offers great hiking opportunities, scenic views and waterfalls. Definitely recommend camping here.

This campsite was amazing! Catherine's sister Maryanne greeted us and gave us the run down. She was sweet as pie! Our campsite was huge and clean. The common area near the gazebo and dock was beautiful. The use of the row boat, paddle boat and kayaks was so fun! Plenty of wood to keep us warm on those chilly nights. Definitely going to go back!

We had a relaxing, peaceful, and thoroughly fun time at Catherine's property. Kids had fun swimming, boating, fishing. We had fun playing with them, enjoying the fresh air; the view and sounds were exactly what we needed!

One of the best camping experiences my family has ever had! Beautiful location, access to the lake, plenty of space to enjoy outdoor activities and serene privacy that can’t be beat. We are looking forward to returning next summer.

This place is amazing. There is everything you need to have a great time. 2 kayaks, rowboat, canoe, and life jackets provided. We swam, took out the boats, watched the sunset from the dock, and saw amazing stars around the fire pit. We purchased wood and had a perfectly stacked pile, along with kindling and a fire starter kit! We booked all the sites and had this place all to ourselves. We will definitely be back.

This place is amazing! We booked every site and had this slice of heaven all to ourselves. The water was beautiful. We went swimming, took out the boats (life jackets were also provided), and watched the sunset off the dock. Catherine was super helpful with all our needs. We purchased firewood and had a beautifully stacked pile of wood by the fire pit, with kindling and even a fire starter kit! This place has everything you’re looking for. We will absolutely be back!

The camping sites were well-kept. We were the only campers when we went, and it was peaceful. Our host was very helpful and gave great directions. We kayaked on the lake, and went fishing. Our children enjoyed observing the wildlife (woodpeckers, hummingbirds...etc.) Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves.

We had such a great stay! The campsite was flat and grassy and made for a comfortable sleep as compared to other places we’ve camped. The lakefront area was gorgeous - there was plants of room for our kids and dogs to play. The lake is super cute - it’s small with 10-15 hours around it. The perfect size for amateurs like us to kayak, row, and pedal around it. Our kids loved jumping off of the dock (the lake was surprisingly warm!). We had a great stay - it was super family friendly! The hosts were lovely and helpful and even had a map and printed sheet with information ready for us upon arrival which I really appreciated.

Secluded Lakeside Camping
Just finished some AWESOME glamping at this site. My buddy and our two dogs were in heaven during our time here: fishing, paddling, swimming, hiking, chilling, and beers on the dock were some of the highlights. This site is in the middle of nowhere, but close enough to any amenities you might need. Additionally, the host Catherine and her family were incredibly nice, and even invited me and my buddy to their cottage to listen to some guitar in the evening. They were also very tolerant of our two crazy dogs! Can’t say enough good things about this hidden gem tucked away in PA, I highly recommend.

exceeded our expectations and delivered a relaxing trip on a beautiful lake. on the property we found a great camping spot. our days were spent on the peddle boat and kayaks. during the night we made fires and behind us we had a lit gazebo. we hope to be back in the future. cathy was a great host and point of contact who made sure we had everything we needed. i would highly recommend checking out this spot. cathy and tom are amazing people, their generosity in sharing this slice of heaven is a beautiful thing.

Catherine and her husband were really helpful with whatever we needed. The lake is super fun. We used their kayaks and canoes 🛶 and were swimming even when it was raining. It’s chilly at night so make sure u bring your own sleeping bag or a blanket. We loved it, u will too!

Mint Water!

Gosh, I could gush about Tom and Catherine's little slice of heaven for ever. They were wonderful gracious hosts. They cut us some firewood (we didn't need it but nice to have) and gave us free reign to use their boats. We were right on the lake! What a view to wakeup to! The little spicket next to the cottage is right over some lovely mint. Washing your face in that spicket with the refreshing mint smell is just the best feeling after a sweaty hike. We hope to come back soon!

lovely camping on a secluded lake

Our camping experience was amazing! This secluded camping on the gorgeous lake was beautiful. Our dog Sadie was so happy running and rolling on the lovely field of grass leading to a charming gazebo and the lake. Our hosts were very gracious. I highly recommend camping at this wonderful place.

Nice relaxing weekend on a nice quiet lake. My wife and I were lucky because we were the only ones camping here this weekend so we camped right on the lake and had our own personal Gazebo right on the lake (normally it is a common area if there are other campers). They had boats and canoes to use along with a beautiful dock. Fishing was okay (Largemouth, pickerel and panfish), electric at Gazebo, water by a nearby cottage and views were gorgeous. Well maintained all around. The only drawback for a family would be there are NO restrooms, toilets or showers. It's camping at it's finest.

Gorgeous lake, friendly host

The campsite is amazing and lake is gorgeous! Catherine's sister met us and was very friendly and welcoming. The only drawback of the campsite is that there is some kind of industrial site in the area that I couldn't see but could definitely hear trucks and machinery at all night. I would still absolutely go back to this camp despite this!
