We are a working blueberry and flower farm near the town of Tunkhannock, in the Endless Mountains Region of Pennsylvania. We also have nature and some fun recreational opportunities both on property and close by. On our property we have an 18 hole disc golf course (more info can be found on Udisc or Facebook page "Campsite Disc Golf"). The course has all PDGA approved chain baskets with wood chip or grass tee boxes. We are constantly upgrading the course, it gets better every year! We have some beautiful places for walks (or easy hikes) including walking the course even if you don't play disc golf....it makes for some nice clear trails through the woods. There is a 2 1/2 acre pond where you are welcome to kayak, canoe or paddleboard. A 10 acre swamp, a small creek (that does often dry up in the summer....it's beautiful in the spring), and bountiful wildlife. Nearby are many more recreational opportunities. Within driving distances varying from 5 minutes to an hour (most things within 20 minutes) are a river, two creeks, several lakes (all with public boat access, some with swimming), hiking and biking trails, wineries, brewery, restaurants, a movie theater and shopping (grocery stores and the small downtown are less than 10 minutes). We can provide more information and directions for any activities you are interested in. Our private road which leads to the areas available for camping has only one resident who lives past (with access rights to use the road to get to his property) so it is secluded with no traffic. It can be very dark on moonless nights which is fantastic for stargazing. Intrepid winter campers will find the sky is most crisp clear and incredible in the winter....but the summer is still quite spectacular. Blueberry season is all of July and spilling into August (although winding down by then). During that time the Grassy corner site is more out of the way and quieter. The Most Convenient Woods is close but separate, no one except a passing disc golfer can easily look into your site. You will hear activity in the blueberry field during the day. Possibly including a noise maker that makes a periodic boom in the mornings to keep the birds from stealing all the berries (we are looking for quieter bird scaring options for the future). We try to keep that to a minimum especially if campers are present but can't promise silence. The noise maker is turned off as soon as customers are present so it is just a little while in the morning.

Our farm is home to herds of White-Tailed Deer, Wild Turkeys, Painted Turtles, Red-Tail Hawks, my Off-The-Track Thoroughbred horse, chickens, ducks, and Aslan, my Cocker Spaniel. We are a working blueberry and flower farm near the town of Tunkhannock, in the Endless Mountains Region of Pennsylvania. We also have nature and some fun recreational opportunities both on property and close by. On our property we have an 18 hole disc golf course (more info can be found on Udisc or Facebook page "Campsite Disc Golf"). The course has all PDGA approved chain baskets with wood chip or grass tee boxes. We are constantly upgrading the course, it gets better every year! We have some beautiful places for walks (or easy hikes) including walking the course even if you don't play disc golf....it makes for some nice clear trails through the woods. There is a 2 1/2 acre pond where you are welcome to kayak, canoe or paddleboard. A 10 acre swamp, a small creek (that does often dry up in the summer....it's beautiful in the spring), and bountiful wildlife. Nearby are many more recreational opportunities. Within driving distances varying from 5 minutes to an hour (most things within 20 minutes) are a river, two creeks, several lakes (all with public boat access, some with swimming), hiking and biking trails, wineries, brewery, restaurants, a movie theater and shopping (grocery stores and the small downtown are less than 10 minutes). We can provide more information and directions for any activities you are interested in. Our private road which leads to the areas available for camping has only one resident who lives past (with access rights to use the road to get to his property) so it is secluded with no traffic. It can be very dark on moonless nights which is fantastic for stargazing. Intrepid winter campers will find the sky is most crisp clear and incredible in the winter....but the summer is still quite spectacular. Blueberry season is all of July and spilling into August (although winding down by then). During that time the Grassy corner site is more out of the way and quieter. The Most Convenient Woods is close but separate, no one except a passing disc golfer can easily look into your site. You will hear activity in the blueberry field during the day. Possibly including a noise maker that makes a periodic boom in the mornings to keep the birds from stealing all the berries (we are looking for quieter bird scaring options for the future). We try to keep that to a minimum especially if campers are present but can't promise silence. The noise maker is turned off as soon as customers are present so it is just a little while in the morning.

Discover a magical setting close to everything in the Catskills. This solo campsite is tucked into a private meadow pocket, bordered by a tumbling creek, woods, and my horse's favorite pasture, with views of the surrounding hillsides and the river valley leading to the Delaware River at Callicoon. Your accommodation includes a canvas tent on a platform with a queen-size air-mattress bed, a wood-burning stove, and two Adirondack chairs. A pop-up tent, that sleeps up to 6 persons, is available. We provide a large blanket and pillows with cases, but not sheets. Outside, there's a fire pit and a picnic table with benches. We supply fire-starters (kindling, newspaper, matches), but not firewood (available for purchase at a nearby market). Potable water is available in containers that are refilled upon request. The toilet is rustic. Our farm is home to herds of White-Tailed Deer, Wild Turkeys, Painted Turtles, Red-Tail Hawks, my Off-The-Track Thoroughbred horse, chickens, ducks, and Aslan, my Cocker Spaniel. Birdsong, frog song, the babbling creek, and the thundering hooves of Deva will serenade you to sleep. During your stay, you're welcome to hike, swim, and fish in the pond. Boating and fishing opportunities abound nearby, in the Delaware River or the famous fly-fishing creeks. Bethel Woods is a mere 20 minutes away. Other nearby activities include Farmers' Markets, breweries, farm-to-table restaurants, antique dealers, flea markets, art galleries, an Alpaca farm, golfing, horseback riding, and exploring numerous hiking trails. Fresh organic eggs from my free-range chickens are available for $5 per dozen.

Greene Kitchen Farm has been farmed by the Greene family since 2013.  If you step back in time a few owners, the Kitchen family with 8 boys and a girl farmed the land that surrounds the little tributary to Montour Run.  The Greenes have been pasturing the majority of the land in nature's image with an eye toward biomimicry and an agro-forestal, savannah landscape.  The herbivores pulse through the landscape with flocks of birds following them.   Since the livestock have been fenced out of the creek, a little jewel of a wildlife refuge traverses the farm from northwest to southeast.  This riparian zones shades the creek, protects the water quality, and provides great habitat for coyotes, minks, eagles, white-tailed deer, groundhogs, hawks, squirrels, woodcock, and a variety of songbirds.  Greene Kitchen Farm camp sites are situated on this varied section of brook.      Learn more about this land:Bring your tent or park your pop-up along the spring at Greene Kitchen Farm. The grass and timber farm is nestled along Huntington Creek at the base of a south-facing slope with beautiful views of Knob Mountain and Huntington Mountains to the south. There is a fire pit, picnic tables, a swimming hole, wooded campsites, fishing, Josiah Hess Covered Bridge, an outhouse, and an open area for recreational use. Please remember we are a working farm. All fences are electric. Please DO NOT TOUCH or go inside a fenced area without a farmer accompanying you. Pack it in, pack it out. You are responsible for removing your own trash and recyclables. The farm store is open 24/7 for self-service. Please record your purchases in the notebook on the counter and leave payment (cash or check is preferred, but you can use Venmo) in the money box on the counter. If you need assistance with a purchase (Forks Farm grass-fed meats for the grill), let us know. Forks Farm Market has been providing the community with locally produced foods every 2nd and 4th Saturday, May - December, for thirty years and has established itself as the area's first and only on-farm, producer-only farm market offering the local community chemical-free, pasture-raised meats, dairy, and farmstead cheese in addition to a wide variety of locally produced foods, fiber, and crafts from over twenty vendors. The campground is easily accessed from the Bloomsburg exit of Interstate 80, ten miles north on SR 487, and 1.5 miles east of Forks on Winding Road. I enjoyed my stay at the Organic Farm in the Pocono Mountains. Eric greeted me on my arrival and the space I stayed was serene. They were hospitable and available for questions and hiking suggestions. I also felt safe being a solo camper. The Delaware Water Gap was less than 20 min away from the campsite!

Went to Catherine and John’s property middle of October and had a great camp. Catherine greeted us and made sure we were all set. Threw a couple of fun rounds with friends, cooked some nice food, and had an overall great experience. Will be back soon to check out some fishing on the Susquehanna. Cool camping spot.

Enjoy meal prep with our various, bulk cast iron cookware and season with an array of available spices. Cook over an open flame on the elongated wood fired grill. Grill on one or two of our commercial grade charcoal grills. Fuel is easy with our self-serve firewood for purchase or bring your own charcoal. Rent a burner, fryer, crab pot or wok included with propane, to experiment and create a memorable meal. Easily access cold food and drinks with a full-size refrigerator, in the nearby pavilion. Safely store supplies with plenty of ample dry shelving. Making coffee for your group is easy, using our fresh, well water and bulk 15 cup coffee maker. Conveniently, power rice cookers and crock pots at our small appliance station. Enjoy meals and quality time utilizing multiple areas, such as our wrap around bench, picnic tables, and lean to area. Afterwards, dishes are easy, including late night clean up with our lighted, double sink dishwashing and drying area. Listen and enjoy your playlists with the Pyle Bluetooth surround system while playing fun yard games or shoot some hoops (bring your own ball). Access our unique bathhouse and clean, interesting outhouse. Build a campfire, whenever you like in our firepit with self-serve firewood. In the evenings, illuminate a portion of the camp with the horseshoe pit overhead lights. Star gazing is amazing with dim lighting or bring a telescope. The activities and adventure continue offsite and nearby from natural areas and a distillery to outdoor Mexican food with a view. Enjoy breathtaking mountain and country views while strolling along Shea and Klondike Road. View functional stick and stone art or experience a tour, onsite with #9's Polish Designs (the host), upon request/reservation. Offsite and for easy water recreation, swim, fish or relax on the river rock beach, at the East Branch River Access, only 8 minutes away from camp. Enjoy a river trip, and leisurely float on the river. Soaring Eagle, less than 15 minutes away, provides the necessities, kayaks, tubes, rafts and canoes, plus transportation. Beyond the river and just a few minutes away, Rock Valley Spirits, offers distillery tours/tastings/cocktails with scenic outdoor views and seating. Grab a bite to eat at Salsa Shack, less than 10 minutes away, while gazing at the lush greenery, mountain views and beaver pond. Afterwards, work off the meal, with an amazing and scenic hike, or walking trails. The famous Jensen Ledges and Patridge Walking Trail are a short drive away. On the way back to camp take a quick dip at the Lordville River Access, stop at the Equinunk General Store or grab some ice cream at The Cow Lick. Besides the plethora of possibilities, other amenities are included with your stay. As an overview, included with the camp are bulk cooking items (pots, pans, serving utensils, knives, spices), large 15 cup coffee maker/urn and 7 to 14 gallons of fresh, drinkable, well water for your usage. Upon reservation, we provide a kitchen content list of specific items. From 1939-2020 our family ran a summer sleep-away camp for children on the farm, with an emphasis on caring for each other and the land. Located in a small valley at 1400 feet of elevation, our fields and woods are home to a broad diversity of native plants and animals. Joe's Hideaway is located on the 100+ acre French Woods Farm. The several acre “glamorous” camping compound sits at the end of a half mile private road. We love to host large groups. Plenty of space for cars and motorcycles. We offer 3 spacious all-season cabin tents, and a heated recreational cabin on the shore of a deep-water pond with a bonfire peninsula. Each tent is secured to a roofed, heavy timbered post and beam platform, has its own private camp fire pit and is privately situated away from the other tent platforms. One tent has a king bed, another a queen, and the third has queen bunk beds. The Adirondack sided recreation cabin with screened porch has a queen bed and twin bunks sleeping a total of 4. The site accommodates 12 for $390 a a 2 night minimum. We offer a 10% discount if you stay for 7 nights. Within walking distance, there is a heated double bath house with hot and cold running water, and each bathroom has a sink, shower, and conventional flush toilet. We provide mattresses with mattress covers and pillows. You bring sleeping bags, sheets, pillow cases, towels, and whatever you need for your comfort. Don't forget to pack your life jackets for pond and river activities. We do not provide boats or any other water apparatus, and recreation is at your own risk. The Delaware River and its East and West Branches are within 10 minutes of the site. Enjoy fishing, canoeing, kayaking or tubing. OARS (“Outdoor Adventure River Associates”) located a few miles away in Hancock offers affordable watercraft rentals and livery. Drive 15 minutes to farm markets, theaters, shopping, dining. Area watercraft rentals, live music , and village events are plentiful! It’s just a mile to French Woods Golf Course and Country Club, and there are a host of eateries in Hancock, Long Eddy and Callicoon. The quaint village of Hancock is a mere 7 miles away. 13 miles to charming Callicoon of the Delaware. The Delaware River and its East and West Branches are within 10 minutes from the site. Enjoy fishing, canoeing, kayaking or tubing. It’s just a mile to French Woods Golf Course and Country Club, and there are hosts of eateries in Hancock, Long Eddy and Callicoon. Visit the Callicoon Farmer's Market year-round on Sundays, 11-2pm at Callicoon Creek Park and stock up on fresh produce, fruits, breads, pastries, and cheeses. Visit the Museum at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Or play a round of golf at the French Woods Golf Course. Take a ride on The Upper Delaware Scenic Byway, which is Route 97, as it extends from Hancock to Port Jervis, and visit the Roebling Bridge and other historic places and museums along the way.
