Towner's Country Paradise started out as a wild forest and pasture for cows in the 1940's, owned by Llewellyn Towner. In the 1960s, Llewellyn's love for aviation led him to construct a small airstrip and hangar, and then his son Terry began to plant Christmas Trees (no more cows) and clear much of the land. By the early 1970's our main and largest pond was built and since that time our fully functional cabin, several more fish ponds, roads, trails, running water and generated electricity have been added. Christmas Trees are still grown and harvested by Terry's son Scott Towner. This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. The cabin was built with respect for the environment. We constructed it with locally harvested and milled lumber and approached the build with minimal impact on the surrounding forest. The cabin is off grid and uses a small solar panel which charges a battery for the water heater and a light. We utilize rain water for the shower and sink which collects in a large tank. This is a great 'glamping' basecamp for all the area has to offer (which is a lot!) Off grid with a generator for power that is easy to use when needed. Gas stove available for cooking, microwave, toaster, and drip coffee machine. There is some water provided in 5 gallon jugs for washing and drinking. There is also a water cooler that was full providing fresh, cold water for drinking. For just the weekend this was more than enough for myself. Firewood can be provided for $10/bundle or purchased in town. It is illegal to bring wood from out of state due to infestation issues. The outhouse is clean for an outhouse.
You could just relax at this site if you wanted listening to the birds and the creek with nearby mini waterfall. It's extremely peaceful. The cabin is close to the road but there are rarely cars. For waterfalls and amazing hikes, Treman State Park and Buttermilk Falls State Park are closer to the camp (15-20mins) and worth the $10 alone. If you go a little further to Watkins Glen State Park (35 mins) you won't be disappointed.
Aaron is very responsive and easy to communicate with and has lots of recommendations. Definitely worth staying here, I'm looking forward to returning!

My wife, our dog, and I had a wonderful time at the Dun Roamin Farm. The cabin sits on an idyllic, private pond - the porch feet from the water. We enjoyed scenery, bird-watching, canoeing, and falling asleep to the bullfrogs. It was a perfect basecamp for exploring Watkins Glen, the wineries on Seneca Lake, and hiking throughout the Finger Lakes region. Marie was an awesome host and we look forward to staying again soon.

This property is so beautiful I almost don't want to share because I want it available for the next time I want to book. Listening to the babbling brook while sleeping is the best part. The cabin has electricity and all the things you need. Bed is descent, it's super close to Watkins Glen and tons of hiking options. We brought our own portable shower because the brook is way too cold to rinse off in. The waterfall is a little extra bonus. Luke stayed and hung out with us all day Saturday and is a sweet boy!

We had a great time glamping at camp minglewood as a couple . Everything was as described. Perfect location for exploring the finger lakes region. Site was located behind a mobile home park, but it felt very private and secluded. The cabin was well designed, comfortable and you can drive right up to the doorsteps. Kitchen was well stocked but we didn’t use it. There is a hot water shower system and a kitchen faucet too which uses rain water collected in a big tank, but we brought our own portable shower system and used bottled spring water. Falling asleep to the gentle sounds of the creek and waking up to fresh air and greenery made the stay unforgettable.

This is the perfect choice for anyone looking to fully experience the peace and quiet of nature. It was an amazing environment for a relaxing getaway with our dog, Luna.
The cabin was well-stocked with absolutely everything we needed. Even though it’s in the mountains, the shower was fantastic—plenty of hot water and great water pressure! The manager was incredibly kind and helpful, which made our stay even better. We made great memories here and would absolutely love to visit again.
