The Beaver Lodge is a single-site glamping retreat tucked in the woods just outside Honesdale, PA. The site features two ponds and roughly five acres of quiet forest. In October, the surrounding hardwoods turn, and you’ll have a front-row seat to peak Wayne County foliage from your Adirondack chair or the waterside fire circle.
Our site sits beside Spinner Pond. You’ll arrive by a short wooded walk (about 3 minutes), or catch a ride in on the UTV — we’re happy to shuttle guests and gear.
At the waterfront, there’s a fire circle, Adirondack chairs, and multiple watercraft: canoe, kayaks, and a rowboat, all with paddles and life jackets. Fishing is excellent in both ponds — bass, pickerel, crappie, and panfish are active throughout the season. Wildlife watching from the pond edge is excellent: bald eagles, osprey, beavers at work, deer, ducks, and turtles are regular visitors. On a clear night, the sky above the pond is as dark as it gets this close to the Poconos.
Inside the canvas bell tent you’ll find a real queen-size bed made up with sheets, pillows, and blankets, LED camp lighting, and a footlocker stocked with cooking essentials: cast iron skillet, pot, utensils, and dinnerware. The site includes a two-burner propane stove with fuel, picnic table, and a fire pit. Potable water, a composting toilet, and a gravity-fed outdoor shower are all on-site. Optional extras include a propane Buddy Heater, two additional cots, and firewood bundles.
The camp is tucked behind our home, so you’ll feel completely private — no other structures in view. We’re nearby if you need anything, and we mean that. Past guests have called this the best campsite they’ve ever stayed at. We aim to keep it that way and ask you to practice Leave No Trace to help.
Dogs welcome off-leash on the property. Season runs April through first snow.

A full-connection RV site near Lake Wallenpaupack. It is within a campground that was formerly a “Jellystone Park” and is now comprised of privately owned individual lots for camper units. Most lots have seasonally occupied park model homes and large campers. The host’s part-time residence is next door.
The site is an open (no trees) level gravel pad with water, sewer and 30-40-50 electric connections plus high speed WiFi. There are tall oak trees adjacent to the lot. The site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Big Bear campground is gated for security (you will be assigned a code) and has an outdoor pool with shower house (summer only), a playground, picnic pavilion, and walking trails. There is a community dumpster. No store or services.
Shopping, eateries, ice cream, pizza, a brewery-restaurant, groceries and laundry in Hawley are within a 7 minute (3 mile) drive. The Lake dam at sunset is popular. Walt’s Landing marina on Lake Wallenpaupack is within a 4 minute (1.5 mile) drive. The interior campground roads have speed bumps and an owner-enforced posted 5.5 mph speed limit.
A leashed pet and a supplemental tent for those in your party are allowed. Electric golf carts are allowed. There are evening quiet hours.

Ideally located - West facing views to the Delaware River that provides spectacular sunsets. The town of Callicoon is six miles to the North and Narrowsburg is six miles to the south. Most of the restaurants in the area are farm to table - excellent quality. Wildlife is abundant - you will see many deer, bald eagles, bear, wild turkeys, and much more. Pepper spray is a must for spending time on the property. We have not seen a bear on our property, however there have been sightings near by. River access is approximately one mile south (3 minute drive) on NY97 at Skinners Falls Beach. There is a pile of free firewood on an old farm wagon that you will see on your way up. We will meet you at the site when you check in.
Guidelines:
1 Please keep all food and garbage inside your trailer during your entire stay unless you are eating at the picnic bench.
2 Keep pepper spray on your person at all times! It can be purchased at Tom's Bait and Tackle at the strip mall just before entering Narrowsburg: 116 Kirks Rd. Check photos
3 Please take all food scraps with you - avoid pouring cooking oil and leaving garbage on the property.
4 Kindly use the fire pit 20 feet or more from the picnic table and all trees - the location it is in when you arrive is the best place.
5 Please avoid touching any electric wires to prevent electric shock.
6 Please cover the picnic table and metal fire pit before leaving.
7 Please be respectful of our neighbors by staying on our property. Our property ends 10 feet into the woods.
8 We do not supply firewood, however there is plenty that can be gathered from our property. You will see it laying all around.
9 Please clean up after your pet.
10 If you dog is not well trained and barks uncontrollably we kindly ask that you look for a more remote Hipcamp location. Our neighbors do not want dogs on their property.
11 Use bug spray to avoid ticks, mosquitos, etc.

We had a group not understand this so I want to make sure it is clear.

Sixty acres of magical trees, a one acre pond, and a three acre field. From the road there is a two hundred foot elevation gain to the top of the hill. Along the way are several hundred feet of rock ledges, caves, and critters. Most of the land is sloping, but the hilltop is flat as a table, with prehistoric-looking ferns under a dense canopy of mature trees.
The campsites are ultra secluded- about a quarter mile apart from each other. All sites include a fire pit, cooking grate, picnic table, and sites 2&3 have platforms.
Camp ONE: is on the top of the hill, and a small car can be driven to within 150 feet of it. It is pretty flat, and surrounded by blackberry bushes, ferns, and trees.
Camp TWO: is on a bluff overlooking a picturesque swamp, filled with hemlock trees and ferns. This site can not be driven to with anything less than a high clearance SUV (ie- jeep wrangler), so I consider it a hike in site. It is under a ten minute walk from the pond and parking lot, but the view and feel is worth it. (It has been brought to our attention that there is occasionally a group riding atvs on a neighboring property that are audible from this site. We have no control over what time it happens, so please keep this in mind)
Camp THREE: is accessible with a four wheel drive vehicle, something at least as high as an SUV. It is the closest to the house and pond, but still far enough to feel secluded and completely private. If you choose to walk there, it’s only a couple minutes from the parking area.
Throughout the property, there are many quiet places to hang out, flat spots to do yoga, trails to explore, and fishing and swimming in the beautiful pond. We are also just ten minutes from the Upper Delaware River, and all it has to offer.

Relax in a secluded, comfortable tent while enjoying the music of the frogs. The land is a mix of cleared and wooded areas with a half acre pond. In the spring the pond comes alive with the singing of frogs and the blinking of fireflies. Enjoy a campfire in the evening and a brilliant display of stars. The pond is nice for swimming or paddling. We provide a kayak or just sit on the dock or relax in the hammock.
The village of Callicoon is a ten minute drive with great restaurants, a brewery, distillery, wine bar, grocery store, vintage shops, live music and a wonderful farmers market on the weekend. From town, you can also book a canoe trip on the Delaware River. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is a 15 minute drive for great concerts and an interesting museum. There will be a list in the tent with suggested activities in the surrounding area if you choose to go exploring.
We provide kindling, firewood, bedding, fresh eggs from our chickens and brownies from our kitchen. There is a small cupboard attached to the picnic table with everything you will need for meals on the campfire. A cooler is provided, please bring your own ice. There will be 2 large jugs of water at the site and additional water at the handwashing station on the back side of the outhouse. The site offers total privacy. Parking is within a couple minutes walk to the site and there will be a cart to help you transport your gear.

Beautiful campsite on a lake. Lots of room to spread out. There is a picnic area with a picnic table and then a separate area nearby with a fire ring, both with views of the poorly. Very well maintained. You do need to carry your gear a relatively short distance from your car to reach the campsite. Super quiet and peaceful, except when a camp down the road was blasting music for a dance party on the Saturday night of our stay. There is another campsite owned by the same host a bit away. We reserved both to ensure more privacy, which I recommend doing. Brent and his assistants were friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. Great place and would definitely recommend!

Weekend Trip to Frog Pond
Frog Pond is an absolute hidden gem! We spent our 13th wedding anniversary here, and it was hands-down one of the most memorable, serene getaways we’ve ever taken. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and thoughtful charm of the place completely blew us away.
We were welcomed with homemade brownies that were ridiculously rich, fudgy, and delicious the absolute best sweet treat to kick off a relaxing weekend. Mornings were another highlight thanks to the incredible farm-fresh eggs provided on-site; you can instantly taste the quality in the rich, vivid golden yolks that put any store-bought egg to shame. To top it all off, the scenery is simply breathtaking. Waking up to the peaceful water, surrounding woods, and gorgeous panoramic views made every morning coffee feel like a scene straight off a postcard.

This was exactly what we needed on this trip. It was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, everything from the landscaping to the pond made the entire place feel like our own little private escape in nature.
The pond was incredibly clean, and we didn’t get bitten by a single mosquito the entire time! We loved having the paddle boat, fire pit, grill, and hot tub right there.The adorable swing by the pond and the little bench where you could sit with your morning coffee. There’s really nothing better than waking up to the pond or relaxing in the hot tub while looking out over the water.
Even though there are a few houses in the general area, you would never know it. They did such an amazing job with the landscaping, bushes, flowers and trees that you can’t see the neighboring homes at all. It felt incredibly private. There’s even a little wooded area to explore, which made it feel even more like you were tucked away in nature.
The cabin itself had everything we needed. The bed was SUPER comfortable, with just the right amount of pillows, and we loved all the thoughtful little touches throughout the property.
Between the pond(we caught fish), hot tub (super clean!) , paddle boat, fire pit,outside mood lights,projector,great WiFi,beautiful landscaping, privacy, and peaceful atmosphere, this place really gave us the relaxing getaway we were looking for. It was one of those places where you immediately wish you had booked another night! ( Also my dog loved it )

4 nights at The Dam House At Beaver Pond
I would definitely recommend this campsite. It's especially perfect if you live to fish. The campsite is set up perfectly and it's very clean. The tent itself is roomy and the bed is comfortable. If time permits I would definitely like to plan on coming back next year.

From the time we arrived at Hippie Havens, Shaggy & Kendra made us feel welcome, made sure we had anything & everything that we needed to make our trip great! Friday evening we spent some time chatting with Shaggy & had a blast, on Saturday we went to the Farmer’s Market and Kendra made me the most delicious iced coffee 😋 that I’m still dreaming of! The cabin was clean, all bluetoothed to control everything inside it & we loved how it was decorated! I got to play guitar a bit too! It was a stellar weekend! Thanks again for your hospitality!
