We are located in beautiful Clearfield county Pennysalvina. Our farm is on over 150 acres. It’s has been in the family for generations. It has beautiful farm views with wooded areas. There is lots of wildlife to see. Including bear, bobcat, deer, eagles, fishers, and many other species. We have lots of hiking trails and our property also boarders state game lands. It’s a short drive to the Susquehanna River and other parks. You can also enjoy the cows, goats, peacocks, chickens, ducks, and turkeys at the farm. Contact the host and set up a time to visit and feed the animals. Learn more about our family farm and the animals. We also have a sawmill and wood shop. Nearby is Bilgers Rocks, Rock Run Atv Park, Prince Gallitzin State Park, the Susquehanna River, and many other fantastic outdoor activities. It’s a place to unwind and relax. And connect with nature. This is in a very rural part of Pennsylvania and camping in the winter weather can be difficult. So please prepare yourself with additional sleeping bags for winter. The tent is heated but because of the unpredictable and sometimes dangerous weather you need to be prepared. The bathroom is also outdoors so there will not be a shower provided till after the freezing weather. And the loo is not heated. It is also recommended that you have all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive to get to the campsite in the winter. It is possible to walk from road to site. But you should consider this when booking. RTR is a very beautiful place in the winter but it can also be dangerous if you’re not prepared.

Originally opened as a family campground owned and operated by Denis and Kay Snyder in 1964. Bald Eagle Campsite has been owned and operated by the Snyder family to this day! Come join us in the beautiful forested landscape of Central Pennsylvania. Located a mere 20 miles south of Penn State University, we are surrounded by the many amenities Central PA has to offer. We are welcoming to LGBTQ+ campers as well as all ethnicities. Pitch a tent on a quiet site and drop a line into one of our two trout streams crossing the campground. Hang a hammock between two towering poplar trees surrounded by flowering rhododendron. Or pull up in your camper and relax before and after a Penn State Football game under the blue and white sky. We have small, secluded sites to get away from it all, as well as conjoined sites to accommodate larger groups. On property we have bathrooms, hot showers, and a recreation hall with free ping pong, board games, and billiards. For a fee, we also have firewood, electricity, and a large event tent for rent. Campers must be less than 24 feet. Generators are not allowed. Music should not reach outside your own site after 9pm. There are no water hookups. Vehicle noise is audible from route 350, especially on Friday afternoons. Noise is diminished at sites further back from route 350. Our sites are wheelchair accessible, but the bathrooms and showers do have one step up into them. Walk to Snappy's 24-hour convenience store to use their free Wi-Fi, buy bags of ice, or to pickup snacks and a sub in the attached Snappy's Grille. An ice cream stand and restaurant are within walking distance. We require a minimum two nights stay for the recognized holiday weekends for Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

Camp is on 50 acres with a pink marked trail to Red Bank Creek on the western border and back up through a hemlock forest along south border. A small stream runs through the property and forms a rocky delta in Red Bank Creek. All camp sites are on the eastern border and close to the main road to access property. Hike, enjoy the sound of the stream tickling through property, stargaze, or rest, watch nature's critters, read or just relax in a hammock. No hunting on property but fishing permitted along "river" aka Red Bank Creek. Please keep fires in firepit and noise levels low. Set up to be most natural, minimal mowing, and sites meant to be more private. We let you know if you have others on property. Enjoy the private back acre of our 2-acre parcel. RV parking is separated from the main house by a barn and Morton building. Set up camp overlooking what used to be a grassy yard, but is now a walkable wildflower meadow. Enjoy the meadow paths and entire property's yard. Pets are welcome, but must be leashed at all times - our dog is friendly, but will also be leashed when outside. The house and barn were built in the late 1800s and are currently being restored. There will be no construction activity during your stay, but there may be assorted projects in process visible near buildings. Please do not enter buildings unless accompanied by a property owner. Many restaurants, breweries, distilleries and parks are just minutes away in Bellefonte! When visiting them, we recommend going straight out of our driveway onto Clemens instead of turning right onto Valentine Hill. It's just a 2 minute walk to the northernmost kayak launch on the East Branch of the Clarion River. Here you will find a public porta potty for use during the summer only. The whole experience could not have gone better. The site is near the road, which is convenient, but still secluded. It is well kept and has everything you need. The water, septic and electric are all newer and easy access. The owner, Kevin, made a point to stop by and introduce himself. We would definitely stay at the site again.

This place is amazing! Large gravel loop, full hookups, free firewood! And a large yard for kids and dogs to run and play. There is Whipple Dam State Park just 2 miles down the road with a beach, hiking, and kayaking. Kevin is so nice. Warning, if you arrive after dark, ask Kevin to meet you as it is hard to see at night.

3 nights at Neal Homestead Camp Sites

We enjoyed a peaceful, 3 nights at the boondocking site beginning of October. If getting away & immersion in nature but near conveninences is attractive you have found the spot. It's easy access from Rt 80. If you have a low rear clearance on your rig don't take the "no truck" route down Madison Avenues steep hill, continue on Rt 322. Our map apps using the street address came up as Corsica & that worked. GPS had destination beyond the entrance so keep an eye out in advance for the Hipcamp sign. The gate is not a typical swing gate. It's a "piston"(can't find proper name) gate that is moderately hard to slide open. Be prepared to have some physical capability to enter the site. It is a great feature to add security. Lock worked easily. When you enter the "gate" there are signs not far from gate that were confusing to us. Arrows appear to be opposite of the correct way to enter according to hip camp directions for boondocing camp. We ignored that sign & followed the directions from app & we were successful. The road back to site is not bad at all. Our 24' shuttle rv conversion with bumper basket didn't scrap or have any issues. Trail to the stream thats indicated in description, is off of road between boondock site & adventure camp & marked w a tire with a utility flag. Site has some very minimal road noise. Large opening that was great for solar even in fall. The aroma of sweet grass permeated the air & we enjoyed the bird sounds. We appreciated & consider the lack

We just got back from a wonderful extended weekend boondocking in our 34' travel trailer. The property felt like a true escape into the woods, but still easily accessible from the main road. The driveway leading up to the site was a little tight for a travel trailer, with some vegetation hitting the trailer while moving (not anything that would cause damage). We did experience limited cell service, but it was much needed to truly escape. Being able to keep our dogs off leash was also a huge benefit of camping on the property. The hiking trail was very peaceful and well marked. The night sky was very clear and perfect for stargazing and even being able to see the milky way. We cannot wait to visit again for our next escape into nature

I loved staying on this site. With four dogs, there was plenty of room to walk them, including a small path through the woods. The lot, for the most part, is level (I only had to bump up my passenger side a little). As someone who is not so good in reverse with my Class C, or anything on wheels for that matter, I appreciated the drive in, slight back up to the hook ups, and then drive out around the loop. The owners live on the neighboring property, however the house was barely visible through the trees. Kevin rode his 4 wheeler over to introduce himself. I love the are, as it offers so many hiking possibilities and will definitely be back to stay at 4722 Retreat!

Beautiful & secluded campsite with all the amenities. Just what we were looking for. Definitely planning to come back again...

Such a nice set up! There was plenty of room for our kids to run around and play. Firewood and a firepit close by. Kevin came and introduced himself and was so kind.

Weekend Trip to Neal Homestead Camp Sites

Location was secluded and relatively quiet. You can hear some ocassional traffic noise, but it's not a busy road by any means. We were a short drive from historic Brookville and the Redbank Valley bike trail as well as the creek. Lots of woods to explore although the trail blazes were faded, sporadic and only visable going one direction we were able (the dogs and I) to get most of the loop. We did need to back track as the creek was too high from all the rainfall to safely walk along and cross the stream. We saw no one else which above all was the best!

4 nights at 4722 Retreat

We enjoyed a peaceful three day getaway, despite the first two days being on the wet side, at Hickory, with our six kids. We really enjoyed the privacy of the spot along with the close proximity to several parks. Kevin and his wife came to meet us our first night there and were extremely welcoming, even offering to help us if we found to be in need of anything. While the campsite is near the road, traffic wasn’t terrible, and pretty much non existent after dark. There was plenty of room for our kids to run around, play toss and catch, and burn off energy. The amenities were top notch from a clean and easy hookup spot, picnic table, beautiful trail to take a short walk through and free firewood, which our kids enjoyed splitting each night. Kevin and his wife even took the time to make a list of some favorite local spots to visit, from the parks, food, swimming, fishing etc. We will absolutely stay here again if we ever find ourselves in the area. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!
