Find an escape on this small blueberry farm in Sherwood Oregon. Campsite is bordered by a small year-round Creek, there is lots of shade and privacy.
We also are located for easy access to local summer attractions, wineries, restaurants etc. Campfires and book reading have been very popular here at Bear Hollow! Check in before sunset for your best experience! (Late arrivals can be requested for an additional fee.

Located in the Willamette Valley, where route 240 and 47 meet is the small town of Yamhill. just 3 miles out of town there is a 66 acre farm with forest covered hills, rolling hay fields and a small seasonal creek.
We welcome you to come enjoy some peaceful rest on our farm.
We have 2 camp sites available and more coming soon nestled in the trees across the open hay field where you can watch wildlife.
each site has access to the composting toilet, has their own picnic table, fire ring, access to water, and some extras like hay that can be used for under tents, kindling to help start your fire, a fire extinguisher, access to a propane fire ring during fire danger season, and a few yard games. we do have fire wood available to purchase as well as farm fresh eggs.
the camp sites are seasonal and most will be closed for the wet winter months. they will be open from June to September, depending on the weather we may need to adjust the access to the sites. at times they may be walk in only (about 200ft walk) or four wheel drive access only as they are in a low area of the farm and do not wish anyone to get stuck. if access has been changed I will notify you as soon as I can with an update.
you are welcome to walk around during your stay, pick some blackberries, apples or plums but please be aware and careful as we do have some poison oak on the property. I encourage you to stay on a path.

Located right off Hwy 26, directly in between the city of Portland and the peak of Mt. Hood, you'll find the most peaceful corner of the Pacific Northwest for you to pitch your tent or park your van. We are conveniently located just 6 minutes from downtown Sandy, known for its food trucks, outdoor gear shops, and the famous Joe's Donuts. Though we are right off a busy highway, we're in a valley so all you'll hear are the tranquil sounds of Cedar Creek's flowing waters and the chirping birds who live in the cedars overhead. The small clearings throughout the property provide natural privacy for our campers, while the barn provides amenities making it difficult to leave.

NON-NEGOTIABLE RULES:
PACK IN PACK OUT: We do not have trash or recycling bins down in the creekside campground so please keep your waste contained and take it with you when you leave. Please do not throw any trash in the porta-potties.
4WD/AWD REQUIRED PAST THE BARN: The steep gravel roads can be tough for some cars and rigs (particularly on the way out) and consequently, can cause a lot of damage to our roads. So for everyone's safety, we have restricted access to only vehicles with 4WD or AWD only. Please do not message us asking us to advise on the vehicle you have. If someone in your party has a 2WD vehicle, they can park up in the entry lot and get shuttled down to the campsites in a 4WD vehicle. If we see a 2WD vehicle in the campground, we will ask you to leave and if we have to dig you out, we will charge a $200 fee. Thank you for respecting our policies and helping us maintain our space.
DOG FRIENDLY: We are as dog friendly as it gets here. Unleashed dogs are allowed on this property down by the creek (on-leash required in and around the barn). If you have a fear of dogs, or have dogs that are not friendly with other people or fellow dogs, this probably isn't the right campground for you. Of course, we expect all dog owners to keep an eye on their pets so they don't disturb other campers or ingest anything they're not supposed to.
QUIET HOURS: 10pm-9am. We ask that guests keep the noise (loud music and loud conversations) to a minimum between 10pm and 9am. We live onsite and will enforce these if we have to (please don't make us).
NO FIREARMS, FIREWORKS OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE USE. This is not a late night party campsite. This property is best enjoyed in the daylight and we encourage campers who want to take full advantage of the scenery, will abide by the quiet hours, and maintain a safe space for all.
OTHER INFO:
CELL SERVICE: There is an AT&T tower on our property so that gets the best service by far. Verizon is pretty good. T-mobile does not get reception here. There is high-speed internet up at the barn that is accessible with a Blue Barn Pass.

We tent camped on one of the RV sites (Potbelly 2) so we could drive up, and we had a fantastic time. Our 3-yr old twins LOVED getting to meet and feed the farm animals, and the people who live on site were very friendly and welcoming. The outdoor bathroom was the cleanest I’ve ever experienced and only a few minutes walk from our site. The showers were a nice feature as well!

It was our second visit to lions Mane camp site and we just had a blast! If you live in Portland it is so fast to get to but you truly feel as though you are immersed in wilderness. We relaxed around the fire pit, made smores and explored the hiking trails. We even checked out some other sites which we plan to book soon. Thank you so much Lauren and Jeremy for sharing your space with us.

We had a great camping trip at this location (2 nights) and would happily come back again. The host provided great directions to the property and was easy to locate from the road. All of the sites were easy to identify and the grounds were really well maintained, clean, and well kept. We enjoyed walking in the stream, hiking to the lookout of Mt Hood, and hanging out at the site. Thanks for hosting us!

We stayed up near the barn. It was basically a parking spot, so don't think it's a "campsite," per se, but it was nice and convenient, and the barn and facilities were great. We enjoyed a lovely walk down by the creek and around the property, so we got some good nature time. Lauren and Jeremy were responsive and helpful. We'd come back in a second.

The site was amazing. Creek ran right by the camp site so you had your own private little play area. Brought my 4 year old for his first camping trip just him and I, and he had a great time. Clean and quiet, great location if youre trying to get away from the "state park" type camp sites! I will definitely be going back!

I am so happy we booked this place! It was the first stop on the way to Crater Lake. Hwy 26 is a great little adventure. We loved the barn ! It was great because I didn’t have to set up camp while traveling. It was so nice to make breakfast in the morning and take the dogs on a walk on the off leash trails! The barn also has nice clean flushing toilets and clean, hot showers. There’s games and a couch to hang out which is nice if the weather turns bad. All the amenities are there.
The hosts were responsive and kind.
I definitely will be returning if they will have me. The Mt Hood area is amazing.
Little Crater Lake is nearby and worth it!

This place was amazing! The barn was especially nice because we were traveling to Crater Lake. (Hwy 26 is a nice way to get there! )
The barn had everything we needed to cook food, shower and hang out so we didn’t have to unload everything. It made it very easy to get back on the road.
The property was beautiful and we were able to walk the dogs on the off leash trails in the evening and in the morning before we got back on the road which was great!
The barn has clean showers and bathrooms too.
The kitchen was stocked with everything you needed.
The barn was a very cool open space that has a nice hang out vibe.
Lots of stuff to do around Sandy too!
I’ll definitely return ! Dog friendly and affordable!

We stayed at Turkey Tail on a busy holiday weekend and we would 100% come back! All sites were full but you’d never know it, as it was super peaceful! This place is perfect for us and our dogs and they loved to roam. The creek is perfect for a quick cool down. All the sites and porta potty’s are clean! Our site didn’t have grass but there is a small patch just across the road. Even with turkey tail being on the main road and close to the blue barn, it still felt secluded. We met Jeremy and he was super nice!
We will definitely be back with our dogs and extended family! It’s a little slice of nature not far from home!

The facilities at the Blue Barn, especially the Wi-Fi and shower, were amazing and definitely exceeded my expectations. The location is close to the highway, but it stays very quiet at night since it’s set a bit downhill from the main road. I really appreciated the balance of convenience and peacefulness, and I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for both comfort and tranquility.

Really enjoyed this campground. We booked last minute so we got one of the smaller spots but it was still enough space for 2 vehicles and our tents and gear although it was a bit cramped. We stayed Saturday-Monday which was great because most campers left Sunday leaving the entire lower area empty for us to explore other sites, hiking trails and swimming holes along the creek. It was in the 90’s but having so much shade and the cool creek made it lovely. It is a short drive for us. We will definitely be back and will be sure to book one of the bigger spots in the future. We never met the hosts but want to say thanks for sharing your beautiful property with others.
