Crooked Finger Farms has great history. The Farm and surrounding acreage was homesteaded in the late 1850’s-1860’s. You can still pick the fruit from the original heirloom apple and pear trees! The farmhouse, historic barn and outbuildings were built as a dairy in 1915.

It is built with salvaged materials from nearby painted lady Victorian home that are the pillars at the entrance and the siding is from a nearby barn. The sliding door as you enter is a salvaged US Federal Building Door that glides on barn rails and it has the original mail slot in the door. My desire to provide charm and delight has driven most of the details that also includes a pergola that has a swinging twin bed and chairs to gather and chat. There is gorgeous outdoor lighting for at night and hanging chandelier at night surrounded in the deep of summer with mature jasmine bushes that waft their sweet scent from May into September.

Take a swim in the cool water. Of course, you can just relax by the water's edge and enjoy the tranquility provided by the soothing flow of the river.
This 192 sq. ft. cabin is very basic. There is no shower, but there is a portable toilet with a wash station located outside. We do provide a full 5-gallon water cooler for drinking since there is no running water. For cooking there is a 24" Blackstone 2-burner griddle, and small propane cans are provided. Also, the cabin is furnished with a small supply of pots and pans. There is a battery that provides lighting, and phone charging is available in the cabin. During the cooler months, there is a small wood stove for heating, and firewood is provided. The cabin sleeps 2, but there is room for a camper and/or tents. This campsite is meant to be very simple, so you should plan on bringing whatever you may need/want for camping.

It is a short but very uphill hike from the parking area. When you arrive, feel free to find your way up to the cabin. You may want to pack light as it is a bit of a hike! Linens and blankets will be provided for the King size bed.
This is a one of kind rustic experience. We provide all of the firewood needed for the cabin inside for the wood stove and outside for the fire pit.

My husband, Chandler and I were both lucky enough to have grown up in the beautiful Mt. Hood area. Now with hard work and determination we are raising our five children in this magical place. A few years ago Chandler sold a large portion of his company and we purchased our rustic log cabin. We love the idea of sharing our peaceful cabin and property with the world! We recently decide to put our primary home on the site, to allow us to catch up on our debt. We are so thankful that both our places are loved by our guests. This is a two bedroom cabin (queen bed in one room, twin over queen bunkbed in the 2nd bedroom), hot shower, small kitchen and living quarters. No wifi or cable but there is a TV with a VHS player and a clock radio. Come and unplug and enjoy the heart of the Willamette Valley! We are close to Mallard Creek golf course, Oregon Jamboree, excellent turkey hunting in the area, 30 minute drive to OSU, about 1 hour to University of Oregon. Great central location to explore the Willamette Valley.
Kitchen has small refrigerator, coffee maker, griddle, hot plate, toaster, microwave and a gas grill outside. We do not have an oven or stove. We supply plates, cups, utensils, paper towels, etc. Bedding and towels also provided.

We went during the off season and I can't even imagine having a better time. They accommodated us last minute. Very sweet barn apartment that is just above the horses with a little balcony to look out. had everything we needed and my daughter really loved reading the books. It was a luxury to have a regular working toilet in the "outhouse" or whatever you would call a really cute bathroom just feet from the apartment. Although we didn't purchase any extras, we were able to hang with the horses through the gate and they are so friendly. So cool. Loved Spirit the black cat the most we must say. We really couldn't have asked for a sweeter overnight adventure.

Weekend Trip to The Bunkhouse
What a beautiful, lovely place! The property is a dream - truly - so well kept with gorgeous little touches that make you know the land is loved. Sadly, my fiance had a toothache that came on in the night, and we had to depart a bit early, but I took a sunrise walk around, and tears came to my eyes as I walked up the trail to the 2 Adirondack chairs placed just perfectly to sit and smell nature, and relax - if even for a moment. The cabin itself was so well tended, thoughtful touches every that are useful touches, not just there for the 'effect'. It was warm and cozy, with such a great comfy bed and quilts and blankets that were so nice. And instructions were clear and easy to understand. This place is truly loved by the owner and communicated to the guest. We had dinner in town which is only about 10-15 minutes away at most, and it was just a great local little place to visit. So very pleased with our stay and cannot recommend this hideaway enough. It made my very busy life have a little retreat and was good for my soul. I'll post photos too!

This was definitely our 2 dogs favorite place to fancy camp… and will absolutely be back! Ps the wood fired hot tub was a dreeeeam!

Sweet spot. I lucked into a sunny warm late December stay for NYE and it was exactly what I wanted: cozy and secluded. The cabin is a stone’s throw from a roaring creek, which is my absolute favorite sound to fall asleep to. The hike in is lovely but no joke! I wish I had packed a bit lighter, but live and learn. A small wagon would have been clutch. Also: excellent outhouse— tidy, well stocked, and zero smell (the exterior motion light was well appointed but a touch light inside would be nice for nighttime visits!) Nice touch: they already had a fire lit when I arrived and had exactly enough wood to keep me warm my entire stay. Overall, a memorable respite and I hope to return!

My 6yo son and I had a lovely two nights on the farm! We stayed in the perfectly petite Farm Cottage, which was just the right size for us. Being surrounded by so many happy animals was a delight, and we especially enjoyed the Morning Farm Chores add-on, spending about 90 minutes helping feed and water the horses, pony, goats, dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, geese, sheep, mini pig, rabbits, mini horses, and donkey. The location was great for Gorge sightseeing, and we enjoyed meals in cute downtown Troutdale (a 15min drive from the farm), easy hike at Latourell Falls, a visit up to Vista House, and brunch down at Multnomah Falls. The farm was peaceful and quiet, and a welcome retreat from city life. We highly recommend a visit or a stay there!

Super cute and so comfy! The host thought of just about everything and made our stay so comfortable!
The grounds of the property are beautiful, the smell of fresh honeysuckle bask the aroma of the entryway into the backyard followed by such awesome outdoor area for relaxing!
