Heart of Sisters

2 sites · RVs, Tents1 acre · Sisters, OR
In the city limits of Sisters. Just a few block walk to parks and downtown Sisters where tourists get trapped. Good for getting close spots for events like Sisters Folk Festival. Couple blocks from the Buckrun Trail head and 15 min drive to Three Creeks Lake. Firepit, Bbq, and grills available for use and can work out deals with the host for prepared meals. I do social media videos on the food I make and if you own a small business and would like to talk about your business on my live streams or make some quick promo videos then that is something we can discuss. Just message me or bring it up on arrival. You can find my youtube channel at youtube.com/@LearnWithDanaris

River Oasis Farm

4 sites · Lodging5 acres · Sisters, OR
A 3 acre farm on the Whychus Creek. We grow biodynamic and organic food along with medicinal herbs. We run a botanical skincare and herb business and are happy to share some of our products with our guests. We have had chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, and goats. However, you may or may not see them with the changing seasons. We do have a couple farm dogs around the farm that roam free so bring a leash if you bring your dog.

Tom's Rest Canyon Retreat Center

5 sites · RVs, Tents20 acres · OR
TOM'S REST was created by Tom's wife Cheryl in an effort to carry out their plans to provide respite for those in need. Tom Edwards worked tirelessly for years to clear this wild recreation space where he planned to live while helping others. Tom suddenly and unexpectedly passed February 2, 2015 while in the process of making his move to Sisters with his High School sweetheart of 45 years. Cheryl continued his passion and their dream to make this a place for those in need as a way to honor the most giving man she ever knew. This process, while overwhelming, has brought some healing and it is our hope to continue that healing for others in need from life's many trials. We continue to use our funds to promote healing in grief and other trials of life. We would appreciate hearing from those that have anything to contribute in way of maintenance and housekeeping, services to provide those in need such as massage or counseling, or any other contributions you are led to give. We are developing a list of volunteers to be called upon when someone in need is referred to us and will keep you informed as things develop. Anyone having a grief, widows/widowers, caregiver, cancer, hospice or other group that would like to have their group listed should message us as well. These respite visits are short getaways to refuel and support individuals during tough times. Those that come to enjoy Tom's Rest will be ministering to those in need through your paid visits here and hopefully, gain some needed respite of your own. We have taken every precaution for distancing and cleanliness with the ever changing Covid policies for your safety and concerns. Most feel they are pretty much 'on their own' in this retreat area with the option for seclusion OR mingling if so desired. My deepest thanks to all who have stood alongside through this journey and continue to do so. May we collectively create TOM'S REST with Tom's intention and the passion he infused in us to carry it through to fulfillment.

Birdwatching Oasis

1 site · RV2 acres · Bend, OR
I wanted a peaceful place to call home. I found this property after a long search with a very patient and kind realtor. I fell in love with it almost immediately. The ponds bring wonderful wildlife that I enjoy watching and listening to….birds, frogs and many other animals. I wanted a property where I could have space to have horses or other farm animals if I chose to. I have not chosen to acquire them as of yet, but I like having the option. I love sharing this spot with others. The stars are incredibly brighter than most places and there is very little noise pollution as well. I call it my Little Desert Oasis. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Learn more about this land:I offer Standard RV plug in electricity and water. Sorry no toilet facilities at all. So you must have your own self-contained bathroom set up in your rig. No tent camping is it allowed. Trailers and vans with toilet are a perfect fit. It feels like country out here with horses, sheep llamas etc. small farms all around. Yet close to town,  just a mile away from Highway 97 and about 3 miles away from Highway 20 near Tumalo. I think you will find the location convenient as it is only 15 minutes from the Redmond Airport, about 20 minutes to Sisters Oregon and downtown Bend is an easy 8 mile drive. There are pretty views of ponds joined by a creek and small waterfalls. The water features attract lots of wildlife! You will likely see deer, wild ducks, quail, hawks and many other types of birds. I even had a duck build a nest next to the pond last year and hatch a clutch of ducklings. There are several small Aspen trees and old junipers near the campsite next to the ponds. If the night sky and stars don’t take your breath away, the frogs will surely serenade you to sleep! There is a little view of the mountains as well. The site is centrally located for easy access to Highway 24 Highway 97. Trader Joe’s, Food 4 Less, Target, Starbucks and a outdoor shopping malls are only 5 miles away. Numerous restaurants are also only 5 miles from the home. There are more than a half a dozen breweries within 8 miles and 45 minutes to Mount Bachelor. The quaint little town of Tumalo is only 3 miles down the road. There you will find a cool taproom (The Bite) with outdoor seating, corn hole and yummy food carts. In addition, there is a great pizza joint and Tumalo Cider Bar. Tumalo State Park is less than 5 miles away. Riley Ranch Nature Preserve is also less than 5 miles away and well worth the trip!

Smith Rock Book Farm Camp

1 site · RV, Tent5 acres · Terrebonne, OR
Rest and relax on our beautiful slice of heaven just minutes from Smith Rock State Park; it’s a 15 minute walk ! We are building on the property and there may be some construction noise during the day, but the nights will be beautiful and peaceful. There is water, a toilet, and 120 electricity available. Warm showers are available at the park. BYOB (bring your own bedding) and camp in style in our quiet, private (and quite romantic!) 10x12 safari tent. Furnished with a comfortable new futon, end tables and a classy rug for comfort. It sleeps two very comfortably. The full size futon easily lifts into a lounger, perfect for reading. Tie the tent doors open during good weather and relax as you watch the wildlife in the field and the sun move over Smith Rock. Kick back next to a little gas fire pit on the tent platform as you watch the sunset over the Cascade mountains. DONT USE GOOGLE MAPS ! Pull into a large gravel driveway/parking spot by turning north off of NE Wilcox, just after some S-turns if you are driving east from Smith Rock State Park. It is easier to pull off NE Wilcox than approach the property from the actual address; typing the address into Google maps and following those directions is not the best way to get to the tent. The entrance off of NE Wilcox is marked by two large, big rock cairns with a wood signs and metal “3648” numbers. There are two pictures on this site of the best entrance off of NE Wilcox. When you pull in, you will see a farm shed then the tent on the right, and the pond with windmill on the left. Park you car and relax ! The tent sleeps 2 people…perfect for car campers who want a clean and roomy tent space. Vans and RVs are welcome too. *RVs, be aware the gravel drive is pretty narrow as it goes over the irrigation ditch. Small RVs will be just fine. Medium or large RVs won’t fit! Walk a sculpted gravel path up a little hill to the sparkling clean (and rarely used) PortaPotty. This is professionally serviced weekly. We are turning this land into a farm, and will periodically be out there during the day digging a pond (this winter’s activity), figuring out irrigation, and generally working (when we are not climbing). If we see you we’ll be sure to say hello! Feel free to roam around on our acres of juniper woodland all around the tent site. You’ll find quail, many other small birds and see geese flying by. Early mornings and dusk are a great time to watch the deer in the field and you may have the great luck of spotting a wild turkey or two!. At night you may hear coyotes singing, the neighbor’s cows mooing and various small mammals running around. We’re told there are no rattlesnakes in the neighborhood (yea!), but you may see a non-poisonous bull or Gardner snake in the field. We even have a family of marmots living at the far end of the property. Look for them in the big rock piles April- September in the early hours. Marmots hibernate all winter. *Keep all food in tightly closed containers and please don’t leave food in the tent during the day (your car is the best place for that). Pack your trash out. This is a Residential neighborhood and voices really carry tot he neighbor’s house; so please, no raves and quiet time after 9ish. Respect the property boundaries.
