The season for the camp sites is from June 1st to end of Sept and the Gers for 2025/2026 winter are blocked out from Nov 15/25 to May 15/26.
Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. Now up until this year I have provided Free Firewood. I have quit doing that for a variety of reasons, the least being the cost and the work for me. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a Propane Fire Pit if you don't have one by now.
I am not to the point yet of saying no big dogs. Talk to me if you think your "big dog" might not fit in. I don't like them running thru other campers sites, so just be respectful. Take them for walks along the lake.. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no pain in the butts.
Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice?
No loud music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. If you need to listen to the chaos/stressful music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ.
What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”.
Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen.
I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven.

Beautiful, quiet, isolated, yet easy to find spot on East Lake. Close to Bend and LaPine. Lots of ducks and other birds, chipmunks, and we could hear other critters roaming around at night. David was a lovely host. Would definitely stay again.

Haley and her husband Lance are incredibly friendly and generous. This place was quiet, peaceful, and had just what we needed for a quick overnight stay. We had access to a bathroom and hot showers. Lance was quick to make sure we settled in comfortably and Haley directed us to a yummy breakfast plane in Bend, the Sparrow Cafe. Be sure to love on their sweet dogs, my fave was Wrangell.

We had an absolute blast at David's incredible property. The lake is gorgeous, and the entire area in and around the Newberry Caldera is stunning. We're a mid-forties couple (no kids) and prefer a quiet tent camping experience - David hooked us up with a lovely, isolated campground at the far end of his sites, which was perfect for us. There were a number of spaces on the other end of the beach which were excellent for families, groups, larger vans, and pop-up campers. Something for everyone! The available watercraft loans were a fantastic perk. We were there for a week, and were able to get both ice and propane resupplies from David when we ran out, rather than driving into town (which isn't far - we just didn't want to leave!). The bathrooms were clean and incredibly well-maintained. 10 out of 10. We will most definitely be back!

We were not sure at first if we were at the right place. We pulled in where it said picnic and found an area to set up came with porta johns. Dahllia was quick to respond to confirm we found the spot we were looking for. The river is a huge bonus, the kids and dogs had a great time swimming. To find it you walk the Riverbank Dr to the left and it ends at the swimming spot. The sunset was amazing with a gorgeous night sky. It was about an hour from Crater Lake and very secluded. We would definitely recommend this spot.

This place is absolutely amazing, directly on the lake in the Newberry Volcano caldera. Obsidian everywhere! The host tried to put us in a more private spot since I told him we were sensitive to noise. I misunderstood his directions but it was still great. Hope to come back again down the road.

We loved this camping trip. We did two lakes, a waterfall hike, a lava rock hike, and a 4 hour river float within 3 days! Julie helped guide us/gave us directions/even picked us up from some of the water activities. They were helpful and accommodating without being imposing. We liked the camping site including the entertainment — corn hole, ping pong, horseshoes. Julie even let us borrow extra toys to keep our seven year old entertained. La Pine is also very nice and is close to top recreational activities without being snotty or expensive. We’d definitely stay here again.
