A secluded, dry campsite set on a private one-acre clearing among tall lodgepole pines in the Mount Scott Meadows area. Thoughtfully simple and intentionally unpolished, this space offers a quieter, more refined alternative to traditional campgrounds. Just 45 minutes from the north entrance of Crater Lake National Park, it’s perfectly positioned for both destination travelers and those passing through along Highway 97 in search of a peaceful, restorative stop. There are no designated pads or crowded rows here. Pitch your tent wherever feels right and settle into the rhythm of the forest. It’s camping, but with breathing room. No noise, no congestion, just open space and the soft hush of the trees. Whether you’re using it as a basecamp for Crater Lake or choosing to stay in and fully unplug, the experience is intentionally minimal, grounded, and calm. This is a fully self-guided stay. We are off-site, allowing for a seamless and independent arrival. All essential details will be shared in advance, with minimal communication by design, so you can enjoy an uninterrupted, more authentic connection to the landscape.Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape, conveniently located just 45 minutes from the majestic Crater Lake. In the meantime, our property remains fully available for camping. You will have the opportunity to enjoy all the natural beauty and amenities that our campsite has to offer, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable outdoor experience. The neighborhood surrounding our property is a charming mix of newly developed homes, RVs, and off-grid home sites, each situated on one to two-acre lots. It is a safe and friendly community where neighbors look out for one another. The roads throughout the neighborhood are cinder, providing a rustic and natural feel to the area. This campsite was not very pleasant, there was an abandoned trailer and truck just across from it and it just had bad vibes. I would not recommend this campsite to anyone

We booked this spot multiple weeks in advance, and yet when we arrived, there was another party at the site that had also booked through another listing platform. They had arrived hours before us and took up most of the space allotted in the area. In addition this group was smoking weed which was extremely disruptive, and had a fire going as well, which was concerning according to the first rule of the listing. The worst part of our stay was upon arrival, there were two pieces of wood with nails in them that ripped the bottom piece out from underneath my car. These pieces were on the allowed driving area, we did not go off path. This repair cost me about $200.

The amount of trash/debris was alarming. The location is far from ideal. Chickens locked in a shed? Absolutely horrendous.

I tent camped here while on a road trip, just stayed to sleep mostly - arrived late and left early. Campsite was just as described, fairly easy to locate, they had campfire wood to use but I didn't end up making a fire. Host communicated all the information I needed before I arrived, and there was plenty of flat space to set up my tent to sleep.

This campsite was super close to crater lake and was a good place to stop for the night. My friend and I both camped inside our car at this location and felt relatively safe in the location. It is as advertised with no facilities but they do have solar lights in the ground surrounding the campsite to make it easier to find in the dark. The road leading up to it is a dirt road and the area does look a little sketchy at first glance but we didn't have any problems while there. We did here coyotes in the area though so make sure to properly store your food if you stay in this location. The host was also very responsive. Overall we had a good experience at this site and I would recommend it for a night if you're passing through the area.

Exactly as the title says, this camp was a nice quiet stay close to CLNP. The directions make it easy to find and google maps will take you directly there. It is bare bones as advertised.

This was a simple, peaceful site, great for a one or two night stay. Come prepared with your own supplies, but as long as you do you’ll have a wonderful time! Very convenient location to Crater Lake, and easy to find.

Great spot! The small lights around the site were a nice touch-- not bright enough to disturb sleep but helpful for navigating in the dark. The camp was clean and easy to find.

Simple and easy! Pulled up super late and left super early. Zero trouble finding the place and it was a dusty but comfortable camping ground. Great bang for your buck if you’re in a pickle to find a camp ground. Would recommend!

This was a great, safe place for a stopover on my road trip. They were very accommodating of my last minute booking which I was grateful for. Neighborhood is a nice little community just off the highway, but still plenty of space between neighbors. Bugs were out, and biting. Not so much that I didn't want to sit outside to eat my dinner, but enough that I was careful not to leave my car doors open. Whole place was pretty dusty but that is to be expected in the dry season. There are two sites on a somewhat small lot and the other site was booked when I was there. Since the area is relatively small, we could see each other's camps. They were nice and we shared the space fine so it wasn't a big deal, especially considering the cost (and obvi my late booking). I would pay more to have the whole space to myself tho, that's usually what I'm looking for in a HipCamp that I can't get with an established campground, privacy/solitude.

It gets the job done for an overnight campsite. The place gives off a weird vibe and I'm not sure what to attribute it to. The outdoor toilet was a nice surprise. The road and neighbors can be sometimes loud but if you're there to just sleep and go, then you can easily plan for it. Directions to the site were clear and accurate, right off 97.

This spot fit my needs perfectly, a quick place to pull off en route from California to Idaho, with enough space to let my dogs run around after being cooped up in the van all day. It was very private, easy to find with the GPS, has a nice fire pit (although there’s a burn ban right now), room for a small RV or several tents, conveniently close to the highway, and the trees/woods are beautiful. The only downside was that the mosquitoes were out in full force, but otherwise I enjoyed this spot very much. I didn’t use the compost toilet at all because our van is self contained.
