Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options. Other nearby activities include hiking and mountain biking in Mary's Peak and Alsea Falls recreational area. Access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park. The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin. Staying at the flying f ranch was so relaxing and refreshing. The cows did make their way up to the cabin and it was so cool getting to watch them. Brent and Tabitha showed us up to the cabin and were very nice, they were welcoming and had a beautiful property! Definitely get some steaks, eggs and ground beef!! They were delicious!! The porch sitting is awesome as well!

Weekend Trip to Alsea Valley Farm

We had a wonderful time staying at this special spot for a friends getaway. Our host was extremely helpful and responsive. The cabin is so well thought-out, and it's lovely to see the creativity and time that has gone into this property. It's so nice to be able to walk right out the door and hike their private trails, listen to the creek, and relax. We arrived right after fire restrictions were lifted, so we were able to use the outdoor fire pit and look at the stars. We also used the sauna every day we were there. It has an electric sauna heater and a small woodstove, so you can choose your heat source, and the short little path down to the cold dip in the creek is genius. Some folks in reviews have mentioned the composting toilets--as some of our group lives entirely off-grid, we were actually taking pictures of their setup because it's really well designed. Just think of all the water you're saving in the world. The property itself is well cared for, and their little dog is such a cutie. We would definitely stay here again!

This place is magical. You feel it right when you drive up and it just pops up everywhere in all the details of the property. The cabin views are incredible and it’s so cool to watch the birds/sky change colors throughout the day. Also the bed/cabin is so cozy I slept for 10+ hours both nights (magic!). Kim is so kind and generous. She feels like you’ve known her for ages. It’s hard to put into words how special this place felt. In short, I can’t recommend enough and can’t wait to come back!

We loved staying at the Alsea family farms creek cabin! Where to begin?! The hosts were so kind and left us veggies and fresh strawberries picked from their garden on the property. Also a fresh vase of flowers sat on the kitchen table when we arrived which was so thoughtful. The cabin has a private hiking trail that was so peaceful and lovely. The streams and small series of bridges behind the cabin was charming and peaceful. I sat on the bigger footbridge for breakfast one morning taking in the surroundings. Small and all children not connected to devices especially would love to explore around near the creek and look and listen for critters. For the space itself was beautiful clean with everything you need. Bedding was lovely to look at comfortable to sleep in and clean. One thing that might throw certain people off would be the composting toilet. The management team works hard maintaining the space and keeping it as clean and functional and good smelling as possible. But it is a composting toilet. I personally had no problem with it. I grew up camping so this was no big deal. Up in the loft my children said they felt like they were in a treehouse. We really enjoyed everything about this place and I would have stayed longer if I could. I look forward to coming back and have shared pictures and my experience with friends. This was such a tranquil spot for our family. The cabin had everything we needed, was super comfortable, with so many windows looking out into the beautiful woods. The camp hosts were thoughtful and friendly, responded quickly to messages, and welcomed us onto the whole property with its gardens and chickens. Beautiful rustic cabin. Nice campsite with a view of the TX longhorns. Host is friendly with a nice dog named Rosie. She will bring firewood if you ask. Only thing to note is the long gravel driveway. Not very motorcycle friendly but we made it without a problem.

We loved staying here! The place is charming with little details throughout, and the space is very functional and cozy. The beds were comfortable in the loft and bedroom, but I found the couch that converts to a bed to be a little uncomfortable. To be fair I am in my 50s and not as spry as I once was. The host was exceptional, very welcoming and gave us delicious produce from the garden. I can still taste those sweet cherry tomatoes! Wild turkeys and deer wander through the field which makes this place even more special.

I stayed at Alsea Valley Farm’s Hipcamp with my mom and sister. The cabin was comfortable and cozy and had everything we needed. The property is beautiful and the hosts were very accommodating. They left fresh strawberries and veggies that were grown on the farm in the fridge for us. A lot of hiking, relaxing, and eating was done. We would have stayed longer, but they are so popular that they had to get the cabin ready for the next group. I will definitely be back and recommend to my friends.

We had a glorious time at the Alsea Valley Farm Cabin! The building itself was unique and magical and the steam behind the cabin offered hours of exploration for my 2 kids.
