Please be careful when using Google maps, for whatever reason it has taken several people to other places other than mine. I posted a picture of the entrance of my property, hopefully this will help. Hurlys Hideaway is a very nice location located approximately 2 miles from the town of Tillamook. Very close to the beach Sand Lake various Rivers for fishing kayaking swimming Etc. Approximately 4 MI from Netarts Oceanside area, Netarts Bay, Cape Mears. A very nice location to be able to access all of these activities in Tillamook County. My land is Timber, some clearings, we'll see how this goes I'm just getting started. Also, I just learned that the transient tax for Tillamook Oregon is an additional 10% and I hate to do this but I'm going to have to raise my prices $5. If you are coming from Town, I'm 2 mi. from the hospital west on hwy. 131. Look for the purple Minnesota Vikings bus shack. I also put up a hipcamp sign just up my driveway a bit. If you are coming from the south on Fraiser road, turn right when you come to hwy. 131. I'm less than a quarter mile on your left. Also a heads up lately I've had a few people that are having a hard time booking and I learned from another camper if you're staying one night you actually have to select two days it includes the day you check out I just experienced that with another camper so just a bit information I don't know if hip camp changed something or what, but if you're staying one night select two days and it'll work.

Although in the middle of the country woods, we are surprisingly only two and a half miles from the adorable and quaint town of Carlton. So beside the views, you’ll be alongside some fantastic eateries and outstanding winemakers.  Being raised in the community, and over ten years of experience in the local food and wine industry, I can give recommendations aplenty.   ꕥ  The property has been in our family since the late 60’s and has recently been transferred in ownership to the next generation! It’s been a large adjustment with many precious memories in tow. In hopes to carry on the legacy we opened up camp mid-summer 2021, and it’s a work in progress (as work normally is!), but has been a beautiful experience being in a position to share. There are two family homes on the property with people who truly admire this land! With the work of these past couple seasons, and thanks to our fellow campers, we have been able to lay more gravel, get a more fluid bathroom situation established, and lay out a few more sites! Personally, I prefer the bank overlooking the stream. Cool your feet on a hot summer day in Rock Creek (the main attraction). The location is central and half an hour to just minutes away from water bodies Hagg Lake, Nestucca River, Yamhill River, little Niagara Falls, Mill Creek, Baker Creek, Rainbow Lake and more… Such as the Carlton public pool. If your looking to jaunt from camp a little further, we are located a little over an hour and a beautiful drive to the Pacific Coast and about an hour from Portland. Although in the middle of the country woods, we are surprisingly only two and a half miles from the adorable and quaint town of Carlton. So beside the views, you’ll be alongside some fantastic eateries and outstanding winemakers.  Being raised in the community, and over ten years of experience in the local food and wine industry, I can give recommendations aplenty.   ꕥ  The property has been in our family since the late 60’s and has recently been transferred in ownership to the next generation! It’s been a large adjustment with many precious memories in tow. In hopes to carry on the legacy we opened up camp mid-summer 2021, and it’s a work in progress (as work normally is!), but has been a beautiful experience being in a position to share. There are two family homes on the property with people who truly admire this land! With the work of these past couple seasons, and thanks to our fellow campers, we have been able to lay more gravel, get a more fluid bathroom situation established, and lay out a few more sites! This hidden gem is only 1/3 of a mile off the highway yet all you can hear is the flow of the water from Rock Creek which flows along the 2 acres. There is plenty of spots to toss your tent. Personally, I prefer the bank overlooking the stream. Cool your feet on a hot summer day in Rock Creek (the main attraction). Enjoy the evenings around the fire pit for an extra $10/day which includes the firewood. There are complimentary tables, BBQ, chairs. Great, private one night stay. Host Mark was super friendly. We really enjoyed talking to him. We walked the trails around our site with our dogs and hiss dog, Augie. Augie is also very friendly. Mark left us fire wood and offered us water in our tank which was so thoughtful. Would definitely stay again.

Such a beautiful piece of land right next to the Trask river. The cabin was warm and cozy when we arrived, and Carmen was so kind to leave firewood for us in the campfire! We had a wonderful time here, and are leaving full of gratitude for the hosts, the cabin, and the land itself.

We absolutely loved our time at Celestine Fields. We showed up late after dark and the property owners sweet dog literally guided us to the campsites. We had a stunning view along with a magical sunrise, and our dog loved exploring the area. We met the property owner for a brief time, and she was very kind and welcoming. We also had a neighbor who was camping there for a longer stay and he was the sweetest guy. Overall recommend this Hipcamp and also recommend arriving while there’s still light out as it was hard to find the best spot for us in the dark! We explored the cute town of Carlton a bit and went wine tasting at Résonance up the road. Recommend doing the same!

The Stargazer Bell Tent was a lovely little spot! There was a creek that was easy to get to and just adorable. The campsite itself and the tent were nicely cared for and the people nearby at the other campsite weren't much of an issue (except for leaving the outhouse quite messy, causing us to clean up after them). The outhouse was surprisingly very nice, for an outhouse! You can tell a lot of love goes into this whole spot at Fern Haus. The only tiny complaint I have is that all of the furniture pieces (chairs at the table inside the tent, chairs by the firepit, the picnic table itself, and the chairs by the creek) were cheap, flimsy, unstable, and rickety. I did not feel safe sitting in anything supplied at the campsite. I was glad we brought our own camp chairs! But other than that, we had a great time! Comfy bed, too! Thanks for the adventure!

We have stayed three times at this campground, and enjoyed it each time. Well-maintained camping area, clean portapotties, helpful & attentive hosts. It's a beautiful place to spend time. Our only downside this time was the camping neighbors running their RV generators for hours at a time during the day, which was really very annoying and disrupted the peace & quiet, but not against the rules. When we stay at state parks, we're usually out exploring during the day, but this campground is so nice that you may want to just hang out and enjoy your spacious campsite most of the time. We will still return, but got unlucky this time with the noise.

Weekend Trip to Hurlys Hideaway
We had a lovely 2 nights here. It is quiet and felt like we were way out in the Forest. Mark’s place is well thought out with nicely spaced sites. It’s all uphill from the road and each site seems well positioned to minimize seeing neighbors. We stayed in site #1, looking onto the orchard (tasty apples and Asian pears!). Deer frequent this area for the apples. The sites have a level spot for tent and/or sleeping vehicles. (I wouldn’t want to get up that hill with a long RV or trailer, though.) There are picnic tables, a fire ring supplied with firewood, as well as a fire shovel and bucket for water. There are clean porta pots here and there as well as potable water. Auggie, the friendly black lab, comes to visit everyone, I think, and spent a good amount of time lounging around and wrestling with our pup, which was fun.

Weekend Trip to Slow Boat Farm - Island Camping
I had a wonderful relaxing weekend at Slow Boat Farm. Brad & Lisa were lovely hosts & very responsive. They greeted me when I arrived and guided me to the camp area (I arrived after dark) and stopped by to say goodbye and deliver some treats when I left. The property is beautiful and very peaceful. I was looking for a place to chill out, read a book and hang out with my dog - this was perfect.
