This is a great location if you are traveling or road tripping to any destination along the West Coast of North America! Take a day trip to Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. We also recommend that you visit the Galesville reservoir about 5 minutes up the road. The yurt has a queen sized loft bed with cotton sheets, a warm cotton comforter with duvet cover, a woodstove, and a folding mattress. Surrounding the house is native vegetation, huge trees and a few herbs and spices for cooking. You'll enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with labradorite granite counters. The kitchen island has a new five burner gas stove with a convection oven and warming oven. The island has plenty of granite and wood counter space. Hanging from the exhaust hood are stainless, non-stick, and cast iron cookware. We also provide shade grown fair trade coffee and a grinder, espresso machine, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, utensils, chef knives, glasses and frosty cocktail glasses in the freezer. The dining room table has a river view and can seat six comfortably. There is also seating for three at the island bar. From the kitchen you can visit with the folks in the living room thanks to the open floor plan. Beside the wood stove are two chairs and the futon couch with reading lamp. We loved this spot! So peaceful and beautiful. We were happy to be away from all the crazy Labor Day crowds. The dog was able to use the full length of her cord and have some room to move. We saw deer every day we were there. We drove down to Cape Arago and saw sea lions and seals, that was a check on the bucket list! Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us we truly appreciate the break from busy state and private parks.

Dew Valley Ranch is spacious, quiet, ringed in trees, with plenty of open space- near enough to town and the coast but quiet. Our campsite was big, with lots of space for 2 tents. The composting toilet was immaculate, the open-air showers had great hot water pressure, and the farm animals made for amusing interactions. Heather was a great host- with easy and clear communications.i hope to make it back to the South Coast someday and will stay at DVR!

Absolutely loved staying at Heather’s property on Dew Valley ranch nature retreat! She & her husband were so friendly & helpful. Fast responses to all questions asked with Hipcamp app. All the reviews are super accurate. My daughter and I stayed at the Octopus site. So close to the soothing hot showers, sauna, games & red barn which had instructions, history on the animals & their care, they had firewood for sale & other items such as cooking tools or coolers for use if you forgot something. The private compost toilet on our site was a major plus & impeccably clean. All the animals so friendly & fun. They also let you use their 2 bikes to roam around their property & to see the sites. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to return!

We had the most wonderful girls trip! It was the perfect balance between giving us the “getting away from it all” vibes of a good camping trip, while still feeling safe and not too isolated. The grounds were charming and it was fun to watch the horse, goats, and “Hamburgler” wander around the property. The facilities were clean and we felt pampered by the sauna after our shower under the open sky. Heather & Nathan were the nicest people and we joined them for breakfast on their tree-top patio one of the mornings we were there. The food was amazing (better than what we would have had in town!) and we highly recommend asking them about their travels — they have some great stories of their adventures! They are knowledgeable about the area and helped us find a really cool spot to take out our paddle boards when we were worried about the wind on the Coquille River. All of these details culminated in a trip that was exactly what we needed and we’re already talking about making it an annual pilgrimage!

lovely space that andrew and family had created. we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor shower the most. the yurt gets nice and cool at night. made some steak on the propane stove, we had everything we needed! quiet, peaceful and beautiful. thanks!

I slept in my car in the RV space. The area for the guests is green and mowed and neat amd a bit of a distance from the house, so lots of privacy. The composting toilet was private and clean. There is a spigoted water container with soap to wash hands, but be sure to have your own towel. Andrew did a great job showing me around and communicating expectations. Added bonus was the opportunity to purchase fresh grown raspberries and the gorgeous creek across the road to soak my travel weary feet amd body! This is a lovely small honestead.

This was my first time using hipcamp and it was seriously amazing! I stayed at the mushroom site with my best friend and it was super private, we didnt see anyone the whole time. It’s a walk to get to the showers but it enhances the experience tbh. super beautiful property and the hosts were so so kind! they even had bikes for us to use.

My partner and I truly loved everything about our stay on this beautiful farm. Andrew and Lale were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and their cat Bella and the sweetest toddler Aslan made us feel right at home. We enjoyed exploring the nearby reservoir and soaking in the peaceful nature—Cow Creek is just across the road! The view was amazing, and I especially loved the beautiful sunflowers blooming all around this sweet little farm :) The yurt was cozy and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen appliances and a small fridge to a backup battery for power. The king-size bed was super comfortable, and everything was spotless. We really appreciated the farm’s sustainable lifestyle—zero-waste practices, composting, and a clean, thoughtful approach to living. We definitely look forward to coming back!

We loved camping here! Heather is an incredible host and this property is thoughtfully laid out and well cared for. The campsite was awesome. We were in our campervan and it was perfect. The composting toilet is very clean and the outdoor shower is really nice. We were on a trip for mountain biking. Whiskey Run is not too far from the property and it's nice that you pass through town on your way to the trails if you need to grab groceries or a coffee, etc. The animals at Heather's are adorable and we loved sitting out with them each evening. (Even though we have goats of our own!) We will most certainly be back.

Dew Valley is absolutely beautiful! The campsites are far apart and very private, especially Mushroom, and the goats and the yard games are a lot of fun. The outdoor hot showers and sauna were super nice on a drizzly day! Heather and Nathan are the nicest people and make sure your trip is a great experience. Can’t wait to go back!

We loved staying at the yurt! It was the perfect retreat to disconnect and relax. Andrew was very helpful with explaining how everything works and we didn’t feel like we were lacking anything while staying there. Nearby hikes and creek are beautiful, the yurt was cozy, and the shower was private while still letting you watch banana slugs and listen to the robins sing. Wish we could have stayed longer!
