This is a new campground and was only open last year for a short while while in between developing the sites . It was chosen by a very reputable RV manufacturer and had a Television commercial shoot using Buzzards Roost Private Campground as the main site. This is a camping accomodation in an RV that is onsite at our property. You cannot drive it off the property, it remains here at all times. Just bring yourselves and your food and belongings! This 30 foot RV has a queen size bed, seating and dining area, small kitchen space, shower, toilet, refrigerator and electric, wifi and water hookups. Septic dumps are our problem, not yours. Enjoy a fun getaway near Bend for a reasonable price. Up to two dogs allowed. Historic farm property with standing structures from the early 1900's including the schoolhouse in our driveway and smokehouse at the very back of the lot. Our neighbor across the street grows 30 acres of the best alfalfa around, and we also have ranchers nearby raising sheep, top quality cattle, horses, pygmy goats, rehabilitated former race horses and even peacocks! Great Bend proximate camping is hard to find. We offer a safe, secure place to camp 10 minutes outside of town with a beautiful farm pond to enjoy in the backyard. We were so honored to be named one of Oregon's top rated HipCamp sites in 2020 and 2021! Thank you! We have taken a break from hosting the last few years and are happy to be back with this new option. Nearby: Explore trails and Bureau of Land Management (free and open federal property) access nearby for mountain biking, hiking and more. You are welcome and encouraged to explore our property and enjoy all of its peaceful tranquility, including two beautiful ponds. You can walk your dogs without leaving the premises. Kids love our giant tree house. This is a great place for those with dogs and families. We have dogs and cats but they are friendly with other animals. We ask that you never bring a pet with you who might harm one of ours. There are also wild animals here like deer, hawks, quail, coyotes, porcupines, rockchucks, owls and more. Most comfortable bed from an online reservation ever! Very clean and cozy teepee with nice details like lamps with usb plug ins and nightlight setting, heavy blankets and a couple chairs. Portapotty down the hill was clean. Nice landscaping and a cute pond. There were lots of deer to greet us. Note—the gravel path up is indeed steep, we made it in good weather in a Prius, 4 wheel drive in anything less than dry conditions would be great. We’d definitely stay here again.

A very convenient in-town location. I used Lyft to quickly get to dinner/entertainment destinations. The Camp is convenient because it is in town (minutes from downtown); consequently, The Camp may be too noisy for some HipCampers (not me). The grounds and amenities are very well maintained. The camp host is nice and accommodating. I plan on returning.

The Camp is lovely and updated nicely. Well-appointed with amenities like clean showers/restroom combos and well-kept grounds & fire pit. Had a great time chatting with other guests. Only drawback to consider if you are a light sleeper is the traffic noise - it definitely lies on a main thoroughfare and is near train tracks - so beware of that. Only saw a staff person here & there in 2 days, and I couldn't reach them when needed to borrow a Camp bike so that was a little frustrating BUT having autonomy without a staff person watching every move was also nice, so I guess it's a trade off? Overall, good. Will return.

Only drawback for us, mind you we were in a soft side trailer, was street noise. Aside from that would stay again. Double bonus is it’s really close to festivities and downtown Bend.

The Camp is in a great location to get around Bend on bikes or on foot. It’s close to downtown and the Old Mill District. The property has good amenities, full hookups, and trees for shade. The community area is awesome and they have coffee out in the mornings. We will definitely be back!!

The Camp was a cool little spot which was close to everything! We were able to park our van and explore Bend on our bikes. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were great! We also love the community space with tables, fire pit, grills and coffee!
