Learn more about this land: Nestled within the 10-acre organic farm that hosts Earthsong Farm and Discovery Park is an authentic American Indian tipi camping experience.   An extra large  party tipi ("Great Gatherings") is available for larger groups as a daytime rental or for overnight stays (up to 18 people).  This tipi is on a woodchip base for a more primitive authentic experience and has optional cots and chairs for your use.   In the fenced Tipi Village compound area there is a large Tipi on a wooden deck, a small play tipi  for kids.  The Tipi is adorned with native American Indian decor and furnished with one queen size bed, bedside table and camp chair.  Optional cots available, offering sleep accommodations for a total of 5 -6 people.   Tipi Village is equipped with a shared outdoor kitchen and dining area, including a gas barbeque grill and fresh spring water.  There is also an instant-heat outdoor shower available.   A family-friendly fire pit with surrounding seating is a centralized spot for drum circles, late night marshmallows, and evening conversations.  At night you'll see fireflies and hear plenty of crickets, bullfrogs and singing tree frogs.  Just outside the Tipi Village fence awaits "Discovery Park" for the kids... the "Best Playground Ever!"  The park includes kid powered train cars, gem mining, dual zip lines, a real fire truck, woods to explore, a shallow lagoon to take a raft across and much more. EarthSong Farm, Discovery Park and Tipi Village are family friendly environments and inline with HipCamp values.  Please understand that we do NOT allow alcohol, tobacco or illegal drugs on the property whatsoever.  Functional Information: Tipi Village has designated parking adjacent to the site.  Firewood is included and stocked in Tipi Village.  Free admission to Discovery Park is included. Two gas stations within a 5 minute driving distance offer ice refills for your cooler and quick snacks, Miller's Grocery is in Lodi (5 mins) and Medina is just up the road (15 mins). For the Tourist:  Medina Town Square is adorned with tiny shops and boutiques.  You can also find Castle Noel, a Christmas museum displaying paraphernalia from popular Christmas films throughout time.  Two Farmer's Markets are active from May 1st- September in Medina on Saturday mornings from 9am-1pm. Nearby Litchfield offers an outdoor Flea Market (about 15 min. drive). Cleveland is 45 minutes away with the rock-n-roll museum, science center, botanical gardens and much more. Amish country is 45 minutes South with many attractions, stores and restaurants. There is a large assemblage of old order Amish just 10 minutes west with many farm produce stands. Dragway 42 is also just 10 minutes SW near West Salem. Akron is 30 minutes East and has many worthwhile attractions including Stan Hywet Grounds, the former estate of F.A. Seiberling, co-founder of The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.

Our family had a fantastic experience! Steve was a super helpful and kind host. The kid's loved the chickens everywhere and the kid train! We were the only family staying there, so the kids pretty much just ran wild for 3 days and loved every minute of it. Steve is passionate about communal living and child learning through free play! If you are a family wanting to enjoy time together with freedom to play, get messy, and explore, this is the place! We hope to be back soon!

Weekend Trip to Pleasant Valley Farm Camp
Hosted a craft camp recently with 10 women and had a wonderful time at the farm. Shelia and her family were very open to communication throughout the booking process and during the stay. We had cold weather and she was incredibly efficient with our requests for more wood and questions about the hot water (which worked well throughout our stay). Grateful for wagons to use for unpacking and packing and a clean porta potty throughout the weekend. The property is as advertised with exceptional service. The cinnamon rolls are a must have!

Weekend Trip to Hemlock & Hobbit Forest
We absolutely loved our stay, it was the perfect weekend away from the city. The cabin was more spacious than I expected and very clean. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and cozy. Our host, Melissa was amazing! She greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the area and offered recommendations of things to do. She even stopped by the next day to make sure we had everything we needed.

Weekend Trip to Hemlock & Hobbit Forest
We had a great time in Melissa's cabin. She was able to switch our reservation to another building as the one I booked had storm damage. We enjoyed the fire pit and string lights she has set up on a crisp evening along with a visit from one of her cats. Loved the water gallon, kettle, mugs, tea, and chocolates, umbrella in the cabin along with queen bed and futon. In the morning, we went to see her chickens, pigs, and peacocks on the property. There is another tiny cabin being built next door that would be nice for group stays once it is available. We enjoyed seeing all the unique homes nearby while heading over to CVNP for hikes at Kendall Lake, Salt Run, Brandywine Falls & Gorge. Also nearby tons of restaurants and shops. We enjoyed Seoul Garden. Perfect for a little getaway. Melissa was very kind and responsive. We appreciated the video she sent to show what to expect before we headed there.

Weekend Trip to Pleasant Valley Farm Camp
We love camping at this spot! The area is always clean and accessible. The communal pavilion with running water is a huge plus. There is a Porta Potty which is always in great shape. The hosts are super responsive and kind-they were great when we needed to purchase some extra firewood. There is a grate so you can cook over the campfire. There are TONS of great hiking trails, a pretty stream, and farm animals. We also love this spot because it is right down the road from Wooly Pig Brewery and a great little market called McKenna's Farm Market.

Weekend Trip to Hemlock & Hobbit Forest
A perfect cozy spot for those spending time in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It was 10-15 minutes away from the trailheads we wanted to visit and from downtown Penisula. The bed was comfortable, and the whole cabin was welcoming and beautiful.

1 night at Hemlock & Hobbit Forest
I didn't stay in the cedar cabin, it was too cold and the roof was leaking when I scheduled so the wonderful host graciously offered me her much cozier "hobbit" house, which was essentially the same size but warmer. I have to say it was one if the coolest eco friendly houses I've ever stayed in! Really thoughtful attention to details such as the assymetric construction based on the layout of the slope and hillside. An inspiring example of how human structures can interact organically with, and even be enhanced by the natural world. All of this is only to say the host is a really welcoming, and vibrant individual and such a wonderful property is surely an extension of their warm artistry.

The primitive campground is in the corner of a small 40 acre farm owned by Matt Polcyn. He started the campground 8 years ago because of his love for nature and real camping. He enjoys traveling in many places in the States and the Caribbean islands and loves finding places off of the beaten path and not commercialized. Because of his interest and love for primitive camping he decided to open the campground in order to provide the same opportunity as a getaway primitive camping location that he tries to find when he travels. We now just added a in the trees, warm water rinse off area.

Surrounded by Hills, Creeks, Woods, and Beautiful Sunrises and Sunsets! We are settled in the Hills of White Eyes Township. There is lots of history of Native Americans, and the first settlers in this area ( there is a great outdoor play based on a true story called Trumpet in the Land about 30 min from our location) On our farm you may still be able to find arrow heads in the creek bottoms! There is lots of wildlife that may wander through your camp site. The air is full of fresh Country smells. Some tame animals that you will see are Lowline cows ( miniature cows), Chickens, Pigs, Miniature Donkeys, Dogs, Cats. North of us 20 minutes you will find Sugarcreek ( the little Switzerland ) as well as south east of us Coshocton with canoeing and biking trails as well as Roscoe Village.
